I feel this bank is acting unethically and I would not use them because they seem to be aggressively trying to ruin me. I have been a customer of CCB bank since 2001. I had a loan through the bank. I got behind a couple months (around $10,000) of interest only payments because of Covid and because I paid a lump some payment of over 120000 dollars on the loan a little over a year ago. I tried to get what I thought was current and they would not accept payment on May 4th. They then doubled my interest rate about a week later because they refused my payment. They charged me insurance on my property and charged me $15000 of legal fees even when I hadn't even hired a lawyer yet. I usually owed them 7000 a month, I owed them 3000 a month for a small time when I paid interest only while the Government closed my restaurant in Erie county because of a spike in Covid during the busy shopping season. I paid 25000 in July, 15000 for August and 15000 for September. They decided to try and take all my accounts to get me broke (so I imagine I couldn't fight them in court) and try to take the collateral which is worth 3 times what the little loan was for. Don't get me wrong, I was already doing a deal (to pay them principle that they said they really needed) that was more aggressive than my regular payment and they were going to call the loan in a year.. that was our agreement.i was already current by all legal standards. I was actually ahead over $100000 with the unsigned documents. They got a judgment without me showing up to court because they told me that they weren't going to court if I double paid them. I never even hired a lawyer because I believed them. I found out my lawyer actually did work for them and I had to hire someone different because of that after the judgment. Then they tried to seize my accounts and one of them had only what my income was for the last 60 days which should be 90 percent exempt. It also had sales tax and room tax that I collected for the government. They know all this and go for the whole account anyway. They are continuing to pursue getting it even though they have the evidence for almost a month. Like a honey badger. That is criminal. They think I am going to pay their legal fees so they don't stop. I have money to pay them, they always knew that. One time they tried to double my principle that I borrowed on paper to 1.6 million and coerce me to sign the document or they would call the loan. Their constant mistakes look like onpurposes, they didn't even sign the loan documents when I prepaid them over $120000. I suppose they were going to wait to see how to play that in their favor. Another lawyer from the firm they hired put my son on TV and his firms internet page against a gag order and I had to stop him through the courts from hurting my infant son any further. He is using this illegally manufactured seizing of my account against me now as well. The bank and their lawyers do not tell the truth and as you can see with the pictures they are illegally holding my money and trying to take all of my money, sell the collateral and I would have been current if they would have taken a check in May that they refused to take. I believe I was always current looking back at the facts, I was just bullied. They could have just called the loan and I could have refinanced without them seizing and holding accounts that anyone could see was recent income and I was just renting my own home as a source of income to gain money until Covid restrictions were lifted. The money would have probably gone to make some loan payments with CCB if Covid got worse. They lie and play games. I have talked to the FDIC, BBB, SBA and have wanted to reopen the case because they got a judgment when I was communicating to the branches and doing exactly what was asked of me. read more
