They explained our tasting options and since we hadn't been there before we decided to go with the one that had more of a variety. It did not disappoint. The wines were all excellent and I walked away with a few of them. Everyone has a different palette, but we enjoyed the Warren's Hill pinot - which had a grippier, more tannin-heavy taste (than typical pinot noirs we were associated with). Aromatic, umami, darker berry fruit forward. As I preluded, the sauvignon blanc was fantastic - very fruity on the nose. Clean and bright, and I get predominantly pineapple/tropical notes. Would definitely come back again. We joined their allocation list, as they don't offer a typical wine club experience.

It was Sunday and we were the only visitors when we first showed up. The crew was great and engaged with lots of wine talk and plenty of tastings. The owner eventually came in to the tasting room and we spoke a lot about all the different varieties of wines they have. We then took a tour with the owner as it was harvest and they had a large amount of grapes being processed. We ended up joining the wine club and look forward to future visits.

It may take a few twists and turns to get to but the drive is a beautiful adventure in itself. If you come here late October to mid November, you'll see the vineyards as well as its surrounding in gorgeous Fall colors. Such a treat! We were in the area for just one night and just learned about Lambert winery the night before from the locals. We couldn't make online reservations but decided to stop by. And I'm glad we did! We were warmly welcomed in and offered a glass of house wine while waiting. The staff decided to offer us a short version of wine tasting and offered an option for us to purchase a bottle and some snacks so we could have a picnic ourselves in their gorgeous garden area. And of course, as a thanks to how friendly their service was, we opted for both options - short wine tasting first and picnics later The lady who helped us with the wine tasting was so knowledgeable! She was the first one to explain to us the difference between wines in different regions in California. We learned so much and felt very welcomed.
