I'll have to admit that most of my Pinot consumption is Burgundy. Those French just know how to do it. They rock Pinot and CHardonnay like you wouldnt believe. However there are some US vintners that are making those wines in that fashion. David Hirsch is a Burgundy drinker and I guess his land is perfect for those grapes to boot. How perfect. I have to admit I've focused on the Pinot so far and the Chards are given their due soon I hope. But if you like the Burgundian palate for your wine Hirsch certainly can fill that niche for you. Like Dominus is to the Bordeaux, Hirsch can be to Burgundy.

Delicious Pinot Noirs and acquisition was smooth. Sales letters come once in a while on new selections and no pushy salespeople.

We chose to drop in Marine Layer Wines. The tasting room is located in a very nice area in beautiful downtown Healdsburg across Healdsburg square. Parking is accessible all around the street and Healdsburg square. The modern decor was beautiful and bright. There were plenty of tables and couches to accommodate all different size parties. The vibe was inviting and family friendly. There was a cozy fireplace in the front as well. We ordered a glass of Lyra Pinot Noir and a glass of Aries Chardonnay. My Pinot Noir was smooth while the wifey's Chardonnay was crisp and refreshing. The wine was great quality. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Marine Layer Wines. The staff was nice and helpful. We appreciated the family friendly environment. It was nice to take a break from the hustle and bustle of Christmas, by relaxing with a nice glass of wine.

You don't need a reservation however we were visiting in the off season and you'd probably want one during season. We were quickly seated in a comfortable area and our tasting began. A big reason for the 5 star review was our host Wolfgang. He was an incredible host, perceptive, kind, knows his wine and really cares. Throughout our tasting we learned about the wines on offer as well as background into the area which really adds to the experience. The wines, albeit subjective to individual palate were really good. I enjoyed them all and we left with a few bottles to try later. They have quite the range in their vineyards from Oregon down to Santa Barbara that really express the climates they grow in. The tasting room is very relaxing and inviting which leads to a really good experience. I really enjoyed Siduri and would recommend.

I had a reservation scheduled with a friend for 11 a.m. on a Monday and we were greeted immediately as we walked in and told we could pick where we wanted to sit.  I noticed immediately that the tasting room is absolutely beautiful! They have large windows with lots of natural light and several seating area options including tables and lounge type areas with nice chairs. They also have a beautiful map showing where their grapes come from. Siduri specializes in cool-climate Pinot Noirs from vineyards along the California coast all the way up to Washington and Oregon.  During the tasting I enjoyed: - 2023 Sonoma County Chardonnay - 2021 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir - 2020 Sealift Vineyard Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast AVA The RRV Pinot Noir was hands down my favorite and a great price point too.  Chris was our host and he was wonderful and very knowledgeable about all the wines and answered all our questions throughout the visit. I highly recommend visiting Siduri Wine Bar & Tasting Lounge!

If you are wine curious, wine serious, or somewhere in between, this is the kind of place that…read moremeets you where you are and elevates you. I truly cannot recommend it enough. If you had told me two years ago that I would confidently navigate a wine list or casually discuss soil types and native fermentation, I would have laughed. When I first walked into Lioco Tasting Room, I genuinely could not tell you whether I preferred white or red. Joining their wine club has since become one of the best investments I have made, not only in my wine knowledge, but in my social life. Lioco is the definition of thoughtful, terroir driven winemaking. Their wines lean fresh, vibrant, and balanced, with a restraint that feels very intentional. Nothing feels over extracted or manipulated. There is a purity to the fruit and a transparency to the vineyard sites that makes every tasting feel educational without ever feeling pretentious. The price point is also remarkably accessible for the level of quality they are pouring, which makes exploring their lineup feel exciting rather than intimidating. What sets this tasting room apart, though, is the people. Michael has been instrumental in helping me understand the why behind the wine, from farming practices and harvest decisions to fermentation and élevage. There is a genuine openness to sharing knowledge here. Questions are welcomed. Curiosity is encouraged. You never feel talked down to, only invited deeper. Over the past year as a member, I have watched myself grow up in my palate. I have learned what I gravitate toward and why. I have discovered that I love a coastal Chardonnay with tension and minerality, and that a light bodied Pinot with vibrant acidity can be more compelling than something heavy and oaky. That confidence now follows me everywhere. Any restaurant wine list feels approachable. Beyond the wine, Lioco is building something rare, real community. Their pickup parties feel more like gatherings of friends than transactional club events. Their Metiche pop up was a creative and intimate experience that remains one of my favorites. I have walked into events knowing only one person and left with new friends. That says everything. The space itself matches the vibe. In warmer months, there is nothing better than enjoying a glass of Estero on the patio. When it is raining, the bar becomes cozy and warm, often with records spinning in the background. It feels equal parts refined and relaxed, serious about wine but never judgmental. I have brought countless friends here for comprehensive tastings, and more than a few have ended up joining the club themselves. That, to me, is the strongest endorsement.

They have indoor/outdoor space to sit, the bar as always the best with faster service, and although i love being in the sun on a nice day, it can get really hot. Unfortunately, there are no food options offered, just delicious wine. Oh, and they have the best release parties and the other members become friends outside of the tasting room. It's a whole vibe and you really become apart of the Lioco family.

Being a member at another place in the area, Healdsburg was a familiar place to me. I came across the article at the perfect time as my husband and I were making a day trip to pick up my shipment. We live in Sacramento to Healdsburg is only a two hour drive away. I was beyond happy to see that we're wasn't a wait when we arrived. They are tons of cute velvet couches in all different colors and the busking itself is very tall with huge ceiling and really amazing decorations. We received excellent service and I was blown away at how amazing their Pinot Noir selection was. Only $35 for 5 pours! I felt so relaxed and not at all rushed. Some live music was getting ready to start when we left and I was sad we couldn't stay for that but now I know for next time. This was such a beautiful wine and music lounge and i'm very excited to visit again.
