They give you their light and their joy, without conditions. They open their space up to you, so that every time you come here you feel like you're home. They are genuine, and actually care about you and how you are doing, and it shows in their faces, in their actions, and in every facet of their business. At DONUT GUYS... They don't just make good donuts, they make the best donuts in Houston. They don't use premade anything. Everything is scratch made. They don't buy their materials from restaurant supply or Walmart. They support local small businesses only. They don't shortcut to save money; they invest time, energy, and their finances to make sure they only serve food to their customers that is deserving of their craftsmanship and their brand. These are those people. The rare ones, the ones who impact your day and have you leaving their store feeling changed. These are the people who have thought through every aspect of their business and only cared about how they can make their customers experience better. These are the people who aren't going to beg or plead or demand your support, even when they totally deserve. Out of the millions of Houstonians THESE FOLKS are the folks who you should give your loyalty to. Out of the millions of businesses in Houston, these are the folks who you should your money to. And out of the thousands of establishments I've gone to in this year, and out of the millions of establishments I've been to in my thirty years of life; this is the third place I've ever been to that has impacted me to the point where I have gone home and prayed to my god for them. Not because I selfishly want them to stay open. But because I believe in my soul that out of everyone they are one of the few that deserve to not only make it, but to prosper. Last thing I will say... this is the only donut shop on 1960, and yes me and my family have tried every single one from I-10 to 290; that has said hi back to my daughter. That has been kind or even given her a moment of their attention. And has been graceful and patient while she expressed her excitement. I know, that sounds kinda weird. Like, why would that matter. But see, my daughter has high functioning autism; like me. And she has the same problem I do, where she doesn't care about how you're expected to act. She just got a lot of love to give and she gives it freely. So she gets hurt, and oftentimes closes down when people ignore her and don't want to meet her eyes. Because she doesn't understand why people don't want her to love on them. But here. She runs around and screams with excitement and they laugh. She says hi and waves and you can see the crows feet when they smile and say hi back to her. They look her in her eyes and talk to her and actually put in effort to show her she matters to them. And you can tell. They have love for her as if she was their own niece. That to me. Means more than anything else. If my child is welcomed somewhere. Then that's where you'll find me.

You would think there would be a little more traffic at 9:30 am. I ordered 2 glazed donuts and a spinach croissant. The donuts were old, cold and hard. Both menu items taste like they had been made the day before. Im not sure how this place has 4 stars. I'll be back at Shipley's where the donuts are hot and fresh!

I can't recommend this establishment highly enough, solely because of that particular individual. They are authentically nurturing, they have a lot of spiritual insight, and their intuitive understanding of your needs is astounding. The selection of herbs at this business however?! OH MY STARS. They have everything almost. And whatever they don't have they will happily order it for you expeditiously and courteously. They strive to curate custom blends that help with almost any and every ailment you might have. AND THEIR INFO ON STI & STD's is crazy! I never knew you could help treat so many ailments with plants! Last but not least! As a spiritualist myself and as an individual that just started their own journey/great work... the energy here. The authentic souls here. The bounty that exists in and around this shop! It's evident that what they are doing here is life giving and is in good intention. ME AND MY FAMILY LOVE LOVE LOVE SOAKING SENSATIONS.

I was out the door because I've wanted to try them for a long time. I get their and the Wife was welcoming with a beautiful smile. I ordered 3 Ooey Gooey Cake slices and 1 sweet potato Ooey Gooey slice. Here's where it take a turn. Her husband comes out the back and says have you tried the double chocalate raspberry ooey gooey. I was hesitate because I'm not a big fan of Rasberry but how could I say no. I added a slice and I tried the raspberry! When I tell you I felt like my soul left my body! I said yep add another slice!!! If you have never visited this gem do yourself a favor and head on over! You will not be disappointed! They were a whole vibe!

I ordered the PB&J bread pudding, Paw Paw's bread pudding and Creole bread pudding. Since ordering through Door Dash, they had a buy one get one free happening with these three flavors so I left with six individual servings; each with the sauce topping of my choice. I appreciated that each description gave their recommendation of which sauce they believed went best with each bread pudding. Each was equally delicious but my favorite is the Creole bread pudding. The venue was clean and quaint. Will certainly support this business again!!!
