    Caramel Bourbon Apple Bread Pudding
    Ant-knee R.

Second visit! Tried something different and also delicious. The bits of apple and the sauce so good on the Caramel Bourbon Apple. Extremely friendly! Promised my leaders, I'd bring them some so had to get a few flavors for work tomorrow. Think the lemon blueberry on my try next visit.

I have literally sat around my house telling my husband how my dream restaurant would be a bread pudding dessert shop, so when this place popped up while we were in Houston I have never driven anywhere faster in my life. And even with sky-high hopes, it did not disappoint!! My only regret is not being in town long enough to visit again! There so many delicious sounding options for puddings and sauces. We ended up getting the coconut lime bread pudding w rum cream, pineapple rum bread pudding w rum cream, strawberries and cream bread pudding w sea salt caramel, and oreo bread pudding w sea salt caramel. The guy at the counter had usedul recommendations on sauces for each. They warmed it up for us and checked in on us to let us know they could heat it more if needed. We sampled from all the dishes. Our all-around favorite was the oreo, which was mind-blowing, but they were all delicious and uniquely flavored! I was surprised by how distinctly each of the flavors came through. A very happy way to end the day, and we will be ordering some shipped to Austin for my birthday for sure. They have plenty of seating and it's a cute, clean space. Highly recommend!! I just wish they'd expand to Austin!

Why 5 stars? Because this is where diets go to die. --- --- --- If you enjoy calories, this is your mecca. There are like 12-15 types of bread pudding on the menu here and all of them sound like the greatest thing that's ever happened to your life. I pretty much wanted to try all of them, but I eventually settled for three: Oreo, Caramel and Banana Pudding. I honestly couldn't pick a favorite or a least favorite in this group. They were all just great. It's no surprise that Gulf Coast has nearly a perfect rating with almost 100 reviews as of my visit. It's hard to imagine someone coming here and thinking, "nah, there just weren't enough types of good bread pudding here." If you do come here and say that, it might be time for some introspection.

I've passed by this store at least a dozen times in the past year and had a craving today for some bread pudding. My sweet husband googled this place and since it's in our neighborhood we decided to stop in today and try it out. The establishment is clean and the decor is modern/ eclectic design. Very quaint and comfy looking too!! They only serve bread pudding here. The bread pudding I had was the "Creole" it had raisins, pineapple, rum sauce made with French bread. It was amazing not too sweet the rum sauce was buttery slightly sweet and full of rum( not too much just enough). My hubby had the Blueberry lemon cake which was made of blueberries, lemon cake soaked in vanilla butter cream sauce!! I asked my husband to describe it in one word and he said, "decadent!!" We met the owner super nice guy, quiet yet friendly. We definitely will have to go back here again! Hope yall like the pics of this place and the video of my desert. Bon Appetit fellow foodies. Check out this gem of a dessert place while near the Cypress/ Copperfield area!!

Been meaning to finally try this place and I'm glad I did. My first trip involved the Carmel Bourbon Apple. I got it to go. They gave me instructions on how to reheat it along with the Carmel bourbon Sauce. You can definitely taste the bourbon in it and it was a good thing. My second trip involved the Drunken Peach Bread Pudding with the Crown Royal Vanilla Sauce. This time I ate it in the place. The place itself was quiet and cozy. Would be a great place to have a coffee and satisfy the sweet tooth. Bring your laptop or a book. The bread puddings were both tasty and moist. Definitely get the juices flowing!

I am obsessed with bread pudding and was thrilled to discover Gulf Coast Bread Pudding on instagram recently. We ordered the White Chocolate Croissant, Alabama and Mississippi mud, and Nana's Traditional. They were all fantastic and moist and flavorful, and the owner recommended which sauce would go best with each and he of course was spot on. Can't wait to come back to try others!

PLEASE VISIT THIS PLACE ASAP!!! I've seen this place on Instagram a few times and I'm so glad I finally visited! The inside is really cute and clean. I would definitely come back to study or have a small meeting. The selection of bread pudding and sauces is vast, so you could definitely make each visit special with a different flavor combo. The average price of each slice Is about $5-7. I had the coconut bread pudding with the bourbon caramel sauce. It was so delicious and tasted like a hug in your mouth. It really tastes like your grandma's bread pudding with elevated flavors. Aubrey (one of the owners) was so sweet and patient with me since I was indecisive. His customer service is A1 and a breath of fresh air. I wish you much success in the future as your business grows. Parking: There is plenty of parking in the parking lot.

This place has been saved for a while now and I just got a chance to visit. OMG there are so many options to choose from i had to just step back ad stare for a few minutes. I finally decided on a Strawberry Cinnamon Roll bread pudding w/cream cheese frosting! It was DELICIOUS!! I read they are owned by a husband and wife and are a black owned business. I will be back to try more different flavors. The person that waited on me even gave me instructions on how long to warm the bread pudding and the sauce in the microwave.

Locally owned bread pudding but not like what you remember. This restaurant offers various flavors to make it a unique offering. My faves are definitely MS Mud and Sweet potato. Lately the Red velvet has crept in for my top 3! Friendly owners who recommend the sauces for the flavor of bread pudding. They are cashless so make sure you have your credit card. Use your phone number and collect rewards towards a free dessert. Check it out!

When I stopped by on a weekday evening at 9pm it was packed. They had stations setup throughout the store to order different goods, which helped to alleviate the rush. Knafeh ($6) - They offered 2 types of knafeh, one with cheese and one with custard. I went with the one made with Nabulsi cheese and topped with shredded phyllo, and soaked in sugar syrup. It was warm, crispy and delicious! Karak tea ($5) - This milk tea drink was made with aromatic spices, primarily cardamom, cloves, ginger and cloves. I was happy to see they used whole milk instead of evaporated milk. The drink was incredibly rich and creamy and tasted great. Turkish delight ($18 / lb.) - This was extremely fresh, soft and chewy, made with cornstarch, sugar, nuts. Some of the varieties I tried had chocolate and/or fruits. The baklava here was fresh made with layers of phyllo dough, chopped nuts, and held together with some honey. The nut offerings here included, almonds, walnuts, peanuts and a few more. Overall I was impressed with everything they offered here with the exception of the nuts, which I thought were just ok. I'd definitely return if I was in the area.

Also got a bag of chocolates, which are weighed by the pound. The only qualm I have is that the chocolates are not labeled, so when you mix them all together, it truly is a bit of a Russian roulette on what you'll get. Everything was super yummy. We all liked the harry potter experience and some different anime type experiences as well that my children liked. We came on the weekends, but during lunchtime, and I can see how they might be really busy during the dinner rush. I tried the Chocolate Royale and the Ruby. Chocolate Royale - a petit chocolate mouse slice with flat chocolate panels along the sides. It is delicate and tasty. If you're a chocolate lover, this is definitely up your alley. Ruby - visually this looks like a strawberry Hershey kiss, with red powder on the exterior and a top piece of foil to resemble foil on the wrapper of a hershey kiss. Inside, it's filled with a strawberry cream and has a chocolate base. I just wish there was more chocolate in this one. They have plenty of seating inside as well as along the sidewalk. Previously it seemed more of latte, but now to me its a legit Capp. Their choice of pastries hasn't changed, which gives you a good assortment of choices and they have added an additional barista or server which also is a nice touch for service. Since we were already in the area after breakfast at TJ's Filipino Cuisine, we finally got the chance to stop by and try their baked goods for ourselves. We arrived early, so the bakery wasn't too busy yet. The bakers were busy prepping more goodies in the back while my cousin and I browsed all the Filipino baked goods we really miss from back home in the Philippines. They even had suman, sapin-sapin, biko, and other kakanin, which was nice to see. I specifically looked for the chicken empanada, and my cousin wanted to try the ube white chocolate chip cookie. We also saw different kinds of siopao and planned to come back later to buy some before heading back to San Antonio. We tried the ube white chocolate chip cookie first, but honestly we weren't totally satisfied. It tasted more like a regular white chocolate chip cookie with purple coloring and didn't really have much ube flavor. I also tried the chicken empanada. My cousin didn't like it because it was sweeter than expected--we were both expecting it to be savory. There seemed to be caramelized sugar in the outside of the pastry, which probably added to the sweetness. I still like it, though it was definitely sweeter than what I'm used to. Red Ribbon's chicken empanada is still my favorite. Later that day before leaving Houston, we came back for the siopao we planned to take home. We finally decided to just buy a couple pieces for ourselves, heat them up in the bakery, and try them fresh. When we saw the price for a four-pack, we were honestly disappointed. It felt expensive for the size. The siopao wasn't huge, and while I like the dough, there wasn't much chicken filling inside. For the portion, taste, and quality, it felt overpriced. Overall, it's probably not worth making another trip back for us. We did enjoy the cassava ube suman, and I like the chicken empanada, but not enough to drive all the way to Houston just for those. If I live nearby, I might come back to try other baked goods, but based on this visit, I'm not sure the rest would impress my palate. I still give them credit for cleanliness and customer service, although we did notice fruit flies on one of the shelves and reported it. The staff was friendly, and the bakery itself was welcoming. At the end of the day, since they're a bakery, the expectation is great-tasting, quality, mouthwatering Filipino breads, pastries ", and kakanin. While some items were enjoyable, overall it just didn't quite live up to the hype for us.
