The initial salesman that we encountered was Chuck Thomas, and he was extremely informative. The neighbors recommended a different salesman, and he showed up in the middle of our conversation and took over. We actually ended up going with the recommendation that Chuck had. We worked with the other salesman for pricing and installation. We special ordered our flooring and knew it would be a couple weeks. I called one week in advance and scheduled for install and was told it would be OK. The day of installation nobody showed up and there was no phone calls. I called the salesman who told me my phone was not accepting phone calls. Said our flooring was not in stock yet and he would call me back with an install date, which never happened. Then blocked my phone number or stopped responding to my two additional text messages that I sent. We went into Rite Rug due to no response and no call back from the salesman, and encountered Chuck Thomas again, who actually took the time to sit down with us, look at our account, and see what the holdup was. He informed us that we were, in fact, already scheduled for install (which we were not informed of by the previous salesman), he reviewed our entire account, submitted our credit that was due to our account due to a difference in square footage coverage, that also was not addressed by the previous salesman. He reviewed the install supplies and added some things that were missing. He then printed everything out for us along with writing down the install date and his initials. The installation crew were absolutely amazing. The floors are beautiful. We highly recommend Rite Rug but even more so we highly, highly recommend Chuck Thomas.

When they didn't show I called them again. The only, and I mean only area I would recommend improvement is their booking application. Even if you book online, you must call to change the appointment. Each franchise, I'm sure, has zero control over how the website works and integrates to them locally - so this is really scraping for a criticism. I gave them 5 starts for good reason - great value, outstanding service, and great results. I booked a carpet cleaning for 4 bedrooms on the app; which is very easy to use and understand the cost - I chose "deodorize" for the room where there is a pet and standard cleaning for all 4 rooms. A great value at a little over $50/room on average - and the appointment took about an hour or so. ($169/4 rooms plus $25 for 1 room plus 7% sales tax) Great results and the technician did a great job communicating during the walk-through and performed exceptionally well. I highly recommend Stanley Steemer and will be booking them again. Tips: 1) select a service day when you have some flexibility. You will be given a "day of" appointment and booked for morning or afternoon the day prior. The team will call you when they are heading to your location (10-15 minutes notice in my case). You will not want to be hosting an event or party that same evening - if cleaning to prepare for a function at your home, book at least 3 days beforehand. I would suggest the week prior. 2) clear the path to the rooms you plan to have serviced. The technician will need to connect to your water line. There was zero mess from the hose extending from my front door, down 30' of hallway to the bedrooms. 3) in the rooms, clear as much of the floor area as possible - it's alright to let furniture remain, but I do not recommend moving the furniture for the cleaning during the application and also would suggest you not put furniture back in place or move any furniture onto treated areas for 1-2 days after the appointment. 3) immediately upon completion, your carpeting will still be a bit damp - walking on it is fine, but I'd suggest removing shoes and socks and allow cleaned areas to air dry and if you selected the "deodorize" treatment, plan to let the room air dry for 1-2 days without any fans or other air movement. The rooms which were only cleaned dried quickly - within 5-6 hours 80% dry, and nearly 100% dry by the next morning. 4) if you have pets - secure them during the appointment. Your access to the home will need to remain open a bit to allow the equipment to continue from your water source to the locations being cleaned. We put our cat in her tent when we got the "I'll be there in 10 minutes" phone call.
