I first called and spoke with Javier who asked me to text him pics etc. he got back to me the same day. I sent him pictures of what needed to be done and he was very detailed about the questions asked me. This told me he was very serious about taking this job because I reached out to another company (Alcaraz) and sent them all the same info and they ghosted me but, I'm glad they did. Anyway, once we set the date and time he was super communicative, the whole time. He showed up on time with all of his materials ready to work. Once the hole was covered he even went to Home Depot to get the exact color paint for my ceiling. I felt very comfortable with Javier who was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I feel I received a fair price for the work that was done. He definitely went above and beyond and I can't even tell where that hole was before, he did a great job and cleaned up nicely afterwards. I'd most definitely hire him for any work I need in the future.

He diagnosed the problem as a small leak in the roof and went about fixing that, testing it to make sure the leak didn't reoccur and then he did a beautiful job, patching sanding and painting the ceiling such that I cannot even tell where the repair occurred. I would highly recommend him as he was more than easy to work with, very communicative, and very fair on his pricing. An important consideration for me was that he was able to do this within a timeframe of three days prior to my next guest arriving. I am so appreciative to Javier for all his excellent work. The job turned out to be more complicated having to go through a stud and across rafters. He did an expert job with the hole repair patching and painting that I cannot tell where he opened the holes to pull the cable. He's clearly an expert in low voltage and how to work around obstacles that others would run away in fear. Highly recommend him for quality work at a fair price.

When I initially put my Painting Project out on Yelp, Mathew was 1 of the 1st to respond and though I originally had another company in mind, through continued diligent communication by Mathew, AFM ultimately earned my business. Mathew was SUPER communicative up until my job was confirmed and booked and then he kinda' disappeared on me a bit until the morning of my appointment, which though it had me slightly nervous along the way and pushed me to have a Plan B ready just in case, it ultimately just let me know that he is a man of his word, but not going to keep beating you over the head with communications in between time. As my pictures show, 1 part of my project was a mosaic-type piece in my Entryway Hallway and though Mat told me that he'd never done this type of design, he also said that he was confident that his team could get it done and do it well! I have to say that Francisco and his cohort who actually did the work did an OUTSTANDING job...I was and am quite pleased!! The small bedroom that I had done in addition was a layup from a 7-Footer in comparison and they did an outstanding job on that as well! =) After the crew left that night, I noticed a faint orange dusting on my carpet, which obviously wasn't there before, because my original walls weren't orange prior to the project. I reached out to let Mat know and he explained what he thought the issue might be and said that he'd come out by the following Wednesday (In 5 days) to take care of it, via a carpet shampooing or alternate method. Mat actually called the next day and said that he would be able to come and rectify the problem in an hour, if I was home and available (Which I was). He arrived in a timely manner and rubbed what appeared to be some kind of paint-thinning lacquer in the problem areas of the carpet and said that letting it sit about 2 hours and then vacuuming the treated areas should take care of the problem and it did to eyes less discerning than mine - SUCCESS!! Mathews original quote was the 2nd highest of the 5 quotes that I received, but when it was all said and done, it was well worth it. I never signed/accepted my original quote however and in gaining my business, Mathew told me that he'd probably be able to come down on the price a bit, but that was NOT the case in the end. No harm, no foul, as I have some culpability in that hiccup as well, for not confirming the final price before work started. With that being said; Though I absolutely recommend this company, I'd implore you to be clear on a price upfront!!

I've had other contractors that started the work and never I completed and it was hell trying to find new people that could finish it up for me. When I put out the SOS I had two separate friends in business send the same number LOL they said talk to "DP at Custom Living" I gave them a shot and I am so pleased... I'm actually getting a little emotional just thinking about how close we came to closing our business because of all the previous contractors taking advantage and not completing the jobs. I wholeheartedly recommend Custom Living and I feel I would be hard pressed to find another Contractor that was as experienced, speedy, personable, and willing to go the extra yard. He even found time to come out to our studio launch!

I cannot believe this…read moregentleman, Mr. Daniel, called my insurance company insinuating I didn't pay him the money I received for my rebuild. On top of calling me a thief, he saying I'm a liar too!!!! I told you there was proof! Please see the attached photos. If my home is 70% complete as he is claiming, it must be at someone else's house because it definitely isn't my house! Stevie Wonder can see that! I asked, begged and pleaded with Daniel to send me at least $5000 back, of which he was supposed to be using $2000 towards the floors. Since that money hasnt been spent on what it was for, I should get it back right? But I'm sure it was spent on labor *inserts eyeroll* and $3000 just cuz he spent my money and I have nothing to show for it!!! I think that's fair? But he refuses to give it back so next will be legal action as I only wanted $5000 back, but lets take it to court and see how much I get from that.... the saga continues!!!
