The equipment is all pretty dated compared to the nearby YMCA and planet fitness. It's also twice as expensive as planet fitness with dirtier locker rooms. Another huge issue is the parking. Getting in and out of Golden Mile and finding a spot takes an extra 5-10 minutes every time. Their hours are also a bit limited some days compared to other options. Not a bad place I guess...but just better options very close by.

She is always professional, but very warm and caring. She's patient, and watches you like a hawk, when you're working out, quickly modifying the workout, if she notices your form isn't up to snuff on a given day. She works extensively with people with disabilities of all sorts, so her knowledge of fitness is very specialized--but gets results. When I started training with her, she worked very carefully with me, to strengthen and stabilize various "problem" areas (knees, shoulders)--and now, a year later, I can do things I haven't been able to do in years--like going down stairs, without my knees hurting--which feels nothing short of miraculous! She works holistically--offering health and nutrition advice, should you want it, along with her personal training, and you can really tell that she's creating a unique program just for you. I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to work with her, and would gladly and whole-heartedly, without reservation, recommend her to anyone, at any age or fitness level, who is looking to improve their level of fitness!

Couple of big differences, the volume of members and the parking lot, which means I can get to class right on time without needing the cushion to figure out the complex streets of East Liberty. Also, fewer members (and in a larger space) has been nice as far as being able to get into classes goes, which was my number one qualm with OTF compared to other types of gyms. If you're reading this review getting ready for resolution season and want to know if OTF is for you here's the rundown: 1. It's pricey, there's no getting around this BUT it is less expensive than personal training and the coaches provide very similar guidance 2. It's not really for the completely unfit UNLESS you're able to swallow your pride. I'm part of the 250+ club and there is rarely an "option" that is completely within my comfort zone BUT I'm willing to listen to my body and confident I'll keep up with my coaches/classmates one day. Anyone CAN do it but the pressure can be real. 3. It works! After a year of OTF I was never in better shape, which made it worth it (I am back after a two year hiatus and 40 lbs of weight gain). Best news... first class is free! So you don't have to take my word for it. Try it out and see!

I usually visit on "off" times so I rarely have any trouble getting on the machines that I use frequently. I love the Black Card privileges after a work out including the traditional massage chair and Hydro massage lounge chairs and beds. The Black Card also includes deals on drinks and merch which is a nice bonus, and if course the ability to visit other clubs nationwide. No excuses to get a work out in wherever you are. Great and friendly staff. Always a pleasurable experience and sometimes even a sweaty one as well! Great location!

Josh is extremely knowledgeable about all facets of the body, exercise, gym equipment, and nutrition.  These skills became apparent  when he designed and implemented an individualized training program for me.  He focuses on helping you achieve long-term fitness goals, but adjusts workouts weekly and monthly to meet your particular needs at different stages along your fitness journey.  For example, before I started working with Josh, I had lower back pain that would flair up  from time to time.  Josh has been mindful of my injury history, while modifying workouts, catering to any limitations I might have, so I can continue to progress.  Over the years he has helped me develop a stronger, and more resilient core, which has substantially reduced the frequency of painful back episodes I used to have. Josh is also good at understanding my current mental and physical capacity for training on any given day.  As a result, he is able to  make adjustments to my program which set me up for success, despite work fatigue, or occasional lapses in motivation.  This means he understands when I can be pushed hard, and when I need a lighter day if I'm particularly burned out for other reasons. This has enabled me to maintain my fitness routine during the past 5 years without dreading them.  I enjoy my workouts which hasn't always been the case  with prior training experiences. The Training Revelations studio is great.  The facility and equipment is comprehensive, clean, and orderly.  Because only one client is working out at a time, it reinforces how personalized the experience truly is. Before I formally started working with Josh, we talked. Our conversation involved more than collecting medical information and was definitely NOT a sales pitch. Josh actively asked about my goals and fears, and why I wanted to train. He was very clear about what training could and could not do to help me meet my goals, and also what would be expected of me. Gyms can be intimidating and full of body shame if you don't fit a certain standard. Tedesco is none of those things. The first time I walked in for a 5 am boot camp class I was greeted with enthusiasm. It has been over ten years since I've done anything like it, so I was nervous and also realistic about my abilities. The coach demonstrated every activity and also worked with me through modifications where I needed them. What was also refreshing was seeing all sorts of body types in the class. This is definitely a place that welcomes and embraces everyone who walks in the door. They offer fitness boot camp, kickboxing and strength boot camp classes along with open gym time. I've attended all of them and really enjoyed every one. What's great is that they are something different every day. Each day focuses on a different muscle but the order and which activity changes. They also regularly host challenges with different themes. For example, I'm currently in the "Little Black Dress" challenge where in addition to the workouts, we get meal plans and nutrition consults. You can also just come to the gym to do your own workout. I never thought I'd be someone who looked forward to 5 am workouts, but Tedesco converted me. This place is amazing, so if you are out east and looking for a gym, definitely check them out. About 5 years ago, I started having a number of severe health issues, including migraines,…read moredizziness, blurred vision, and tinnitus that was so severe I would have periods of complete hearing loss (thankfully the hearing loss was temporary). I went through a number of different tests with my PCP, ENTs, neurologists, and even dentists (for what was thought to be TMJ disorder). Not one of these doctors has been able to diagnose the underlying cause of these health issues. I spent the past 5 years going to the chiropractor, acupuncturist, nutritionist, along with a number of other doctors and specialists in an effort to find some relief from my symptoms. Finally, I found Dr. Cole. I had been following his work for quite some time and decided to become a patient of his about two months ago.
