I ordered an upper receiver from them roughly two months ago. I received it and didn't think of having to do a full inspection of every single part on the upper since it was pre-assembled (which is the exact reason I bought it - I didn't want to have to worry about messing with the barrel or gas system, I wanted the pros to do it). I took the gun out and after only 1 magazine, the gun started short-stroking. After three magazines of short-stroking every other bullet, I finally called it a day and went home. In addition, one of the two screws (yes, only two screws) securing the handguard fell out while shooting, which then separated the handguard from the upper itself. Who knows if that messed up the gas block? Anyways, I sent an email to the warranty e-mail and got a response the next business day. I was super impressed at the speed! But that was the only time they were fast. It took another 2-3 days to hear back from the warranty team to send me the return label. I sent it back, and after a week after it was received by CBC, I still hadn't heard anything so I called and left a message (again) and sent another email (again). Two business days later, still nothing. So I called today, tried the direct extension for the person I've been in contact with (I use "in contact" loosely) and was, yet again, sent straight to voicemail. So I hung up, called back, and tried their customer service option. Sent straight to voicemail. Hung up, and called back. Tried their sales department. Straight to voicemail. I finally left a message explaining that I was literally just trying to get a hold of anyone at this point to find out if I was even going to get my upper back at all. About 20 minutes later, I received an email from the sales department telling me that the the upper was being shipped out today. The email was actually a forward from the email conversation that the sales lady and the warranty guy I was in contact with during the 20 minutes that it took from me leaving the message to receiving the email response. The warranty guy was able to respond to her in a few minutes, but not to me in 3 days. Long story short, this place is a joke. The parts seem to be okay quality, so I would highly suggest if you make the mistake of buying their parts, if you don't know what to look for as far as QC issues on an upper, take it to a real gunsmith that can actually make sure everything is good. And if you like a company with good customer service, avoid this place like the plague. EDIT: to be clear, I left multiple messages and emails that went un-responded to. And the fact that the warranty guy was able to reply to the sales department email within 20 minutes but never replied to mine after 3 (business days) is inexcusable. I get times are crazy, and that's why I went a week before trying to reach out, and then after the second week, got fed up and left the review. As for if he fixed the part or not, I'll update the post with that info. EDIT 2: Received the upper back again today. Screws were loose. Taking it out this weekend to test it. Let's see if it works or if it blows up in my face. EDIT 3: I have changed the rating from 1 star to 3 stars, as I had not a single malfunction yesterday after tightening the screws myself and shooting it. It was also incredibly accurate, even with just iron sights. I was accurately hitting water bottles from around 100 yards. The only reason the review is only a 3 star now is because their commutation is still bad. I emailed them a follow up after I received the upper and still haven't heard back from them again. read more

I ordered two 16" 350 Legend barrels and had nothing but trouble with them, cases would not eject, had to "mortar" to clear and sometimes had to use a cleaning rod when really stuck. Customer service admitted it was a known problem but would not refund, only offering to replace the barrels, I told them I had no confidence in the quality of the product and wanted a refund only because I was going to buy barrels from somewhere else, I gave up when I was told by customer service "just get the replacement barrels and then sell them to your buddies" The barrels are now outback where I shoot, welded to a post and have steel plate targets hanging from them, I could find no other use for them. read more

From what I've read on these reviews it doesn't seem like you all care about the quality of your products. I wanted to buy items from you all, but your customer service is still pretty bad according to a review from 11 days ago. I'd like reassurance that you all won't take months to get me my products that I'm paying for. And it be good quality. I chunked a few reviews to you all being a relatively new business, but PSA hasn't had any problems like you all. Loose parts, delayed responding/ ghosting customers, and then coming on here explaining yourself rather than replying to your customers is not becoming of a flourishing business. I am military, have kids and a wife I'd like to protect, but I need to know if spending over $1500 will be worth it from you all, or if I should chunk up the 2k I'd spend at PSA. If the company owner could respond and reassure me that their QC, customer service, and shipping has been upgraded, and if I decide to follow through with the order and get it in a timely fashion I will update this review and give a complete breakdown of how good or bad my experience was. 2023 - Ordered 2 uppers....It took them nearly 2 MONTHS (with zero contact or update) to complete my order, then they didn't even bother to tell me it was it's way. The first one barely functions but is ok. It's not something I use a ton. The second? The second is in operational, leaves the round in a dangerous condition (primer tapped but unfired) and I have to fight with each round (that will not fire). The company refuses to address the problem. I have send them a total of 5 to 10 email over the course of the past several months. Upon getting a response, "Will" has failed to reply for roughly 2 weeks now. I m not able to "dispute" the charge now, as it is past the dispute date, which is I am sure the point. So, I just spent $170 from another company to fix my $230 upper. So, you do the math, just buy somewhere else. They obviously do not care about customer service nor quality, nor safety. OH.....one of the "gas block" set screws is stripped, and they also refuse to deal with that. Wish I would have read the reviews first...this isn't uncommon with this company apparently. read more

I have been trying to place an order for a complete AR15 upper but the one I choose did not have a thread on the end of the barrel to accept a silencer (coyote rifle build). I sent an email in to customer service asking if that could be done and was told it could and they would contact me by phone to discuss. After two emails about never receiving a phone call to get this order going and hearing they would contact me the next day I just plane gave up and am going to look into another company to supply this upper for me. I ordered my 3rd complete upper from CBC and I have no complaints with product, service or communication. This last one arrived in less than a week. The only issue I have had is this last one arrived with the muzzle device not installed, not that it's a big deal, might work out for the best as I may put a different one on it anyway. On my previous order the BCG I ordered with the upper was out of stock and they gave me a coupon for 10% off my next order. These uppers I have purchased have all been accurate, especially the heavy barrel .223 wylde. No fun to carry but shoots single hole at 100 yards. Bottom line I have no complaints with CBC! So I ordered a "new" assembled ar-9 kit. I noticed the picatinny railing on the hand guard and upper receiver were not aligned. So I disassembled it and re-aligned it. I then took out the charging handle and bolt. Both were fine. The inside of the upper receiver was clean. The barrel was a different story. It was absolutely filthy! It wasn't from test firing either. You can see the patches I used to clean it out. After that, started building the lower. Then came the trigger assembly. Look at the picture and tell me that is a new trigger. The rust on it should be a pretty good hint. All the other parts that were in the same bag as the trigger were not rusty. There was some spread inside the bag but the majority was on the trigger. Threw it away and just used a real new spare I had on hand. Taking my business elsewhere. read more

What a joke. I have ordered a AR15, 300BLK kit and I am still waiting on the BCG to arrive. I understand there was a backorder BUT. I called a few weeks ago and was promised they would get a shipment in in the next week and that I am on their "list of people who still need BCGs". Called back a week and a half later and I was promised they would have the BCG in stock by the end of next month... They don't know when they will get their shipments in!!! She even admitted that. I cannot wait any longer at this point I just want my money for the BCG back so I can actually have a AR that fires. Service kind of sucks since I was reasonable about the backorder and the promised date. I never could get in contact with their email either so don't try that way since it's pointless. Does not feel good when you are missing a part that costs around $170.00 and nobody will get back with you.. Gahhh, guys just please don't waste your money and especially your time when you can get something in under a week on almost every other website. I definitely learned my lesson since I bought a bunch of 300BLK rounds for my upcoming trip with my company and I guess I won't be able to use any of it or my gun. Sorry to say, but here's another bad Customer service review. although I received my build kit quickly, no flaws and looks great. It went together perfectly with no problems, but I did have a question for them concerning the fact that I specifically ordered an AR-9 upper build kit 205744, that DID NOT STATE, "NON-LOCKBACK. And sure enough, it does not lockback. Simple question, Was my 9 suppose to be a non-lockback? Or was I sent the wrong BCG? 2 emails in 3 weeks with no response from customer service. Sad, very sad. Had high hopes, for one, I'm a Veteran myself and two, that PSA was going to have some competition. Ordered a 7.62x39 rifle kit; built the rifle, then the Bolt Carrier Group extractor failed. Notified the business, they sent a new BCG. Rifle fails to cycle steel ammo. I contacted the business, they verified that the weapon will not work with steel cased ammo. It'd been nice if they had told me this up front as I built the rifle to replace a WASR10. All in all, I wouldn't do this again if I had known what I know now. I've built several AR's over the years ( AR10, AR15s, ect ) and first time I've had issues like this. read more

I made a purchase of the ar minimalist stock for my HK416 in 22lr. The part was defective. I called, they said they'd accept the exchange and they were aware of the manufacturers defect. Will replace. Emailed return label. I sent it back and it arrived March 1. I called them and emailed them March 7-8 to inquire. Dean said he never received it, thanks for tracking numbers... Then I contact Monday, he says they shipped the replacement out Monday March 11. I get the shipping email today March 18 after I asked them in an email when to expect it. Guess what? LABEL CREATED, NOT PROCESSED YET! THEY STILL HAVEN'T SHIPPED IT BACK AFTER THREE WEEKS!! DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE LIARS. Purchased an ar15 18" complete upper receiver from CBC. Wasn't getting enough gas to cycle the bolt back. In deeper inspection the gas block was misaligned with the hole causing the gas issue. The gasblock roll pin was also poking out. I had to remove my muzzle break and had to cut off my crush washer. Was a pain getting everything back together and working properly. This is the worst quality control of any company I've purchased from. The upper also took 5 months to come in. Would not purchase from them again. read more

I recently purchased two Glock style magazines to be used with an AR9. The magazines will not run using steel cased ammo. I contacted CBC industries asking to return the mags. They informed me the mags were not covered because of the barrel warranty. Ridiculous! These are magazines. If the Mags don't work with steel cased ammo it should say so in the product description rather than some obscure info. posted under the CBC website warranty page. Barrel Information Accuracy is dependent on multiple factors including bullet weight, powder load, rifling twist, rifling lands, operator technique, etc. Due to all the above factors we cannot guarantee accuracy, and it is not covered by this warranty. In addition, using reloaded ammunition and steel case will void the warranty. Modifying the chamber or barrels voids the warranty. This includes re-reaming of the chamber, re-turning the barrel, and/or re-threading the barrel for attachments. If the product will not work with commonly available ammo they should say so or carry a product that does. So much for the Lifetime Warranty. Rusty S. read more

Just emailed them and Dean (QA Specialist) gave me some pointers on how to assemble it. He even send me a replacement for my Safety Selector that was cut different and not aligned right with the lower receiver when installed. All free of charge and within 3 days. ******short version, sold me a kit that components didn't work together properly, would not replace without me paying***** more detailed version below. pretty disappointed I bought 2 ar9 kits (minus the lower). It was during the shutdown so didn't get to the builds immediately. when I built them, the bcg would not pull back all the way. By all the way, I mean all the way to let the bolt catch hold it open. I would say 60-70% of the way open. Had a friend with a different set up so mixed and matched combinations of springs and buffers. It boiled down to the spring I was provided and the buffer I was provided, did not work together. spring was VERY tight (and would bunch) around buffer and get stuck. If I used a different buffer with my provided spring, it worked, if I used a different buffer with my provided spring, it also worked. So it seemed to be the combination that would not work together. emailed customer service, they requested my take pictures with measurements. Instead I sent a video with measurements using my caliper AND me showing the functionality of the different combinations and how they worked and how the combination provided to me did not work together. They said it was "out of the 30 day warranty" and asked me to send in everything to them so they could check it out. After all was said and done, to send everything to them was going to be 20-$30 bucks (remember I have 2 kits) and getting a replacement spring was $8-14. All this hassle for a fix they could have provided for probably $8 or less their cost AND kept a customer with referrals. Instead they want me to send in all the gear so they could "check it out" as if my video was not good enough. Did they think I was trying to stiff them for a few dollars??? NO, I just wanted the components THEY SOLD AS A KIT to work. First time buying from them and will most likely be last. Had a few friends want to jump in and build something similar but have referred them elsewhere even if it means paying a few bucks more, because if they WERE to have a problem, it appears that there is no price low enough for customer service to keep their customers happy. I purchased an AR-15 rifle kit from CBC. It went well past deadline on shipping had to call and threaten to cancel order to get it shipped. Received order finally next day finished it up was able to test fire will not eject has machine marks left in chamber that the brass is fire forming into the grooves and has to be beat out. There is a bad gash on the gas tube with a gas key feeds up on. I've been leaving emails and voicemails since Thursday this is Monday of the following week. Finally got a reply back Friday going to have to turn it over to production manager. Well guess what haven't heard from him have left several more emails and no reply. This is extremely terrible customer service after the sell. What I recommend this company no way if you like throwing money away then by all means order from them. Because you will not get what you pay for. It would be a different story if you can get some kind of reply back other than passing it off to somebody else. Have never had this kind of customer service from any other manufacturer of AR parts I have bought. If this company is that busy they need to be hiring some help. There's no excuse for a company being this sorry as far as customer service goes. Or lack of customer service. So if you want to throw some money away then by all means order from them. So I've been an avid customer and supporter of CBC for over a year now, and one of my uppers barrels malfunctioned with less than 1000 rounds of steel ammunition through it. The last range outing, I noticed the rounds were tumbling from 10 yards distance at 15-18" high right. Mind you I have an Eotech xps2 optic so there's not option for failure due to optic or sighting in/accuracy. At 25 yards, the round was tumbling so bad it would leave the range completely and blast off into the shadow realm in the atmosphere. I notified CBC immediately and was (finally) contacted by somebody after badgering their Instagram account, phone call (with no answers) and email with no answers either. Their Instagram or social media person finally responded to me about this issue. That was the first red flag. Upon initial contact, I still waited for nearly a week before someone reached out to me via phone during my busy work hours. I returned the call shortly after leaving a voicemail. Never heard back. So I called again, and again and again within the course of a couple days and messaged their Instagram again to notify them of the communication failure. Finally, at last, I received a phone call from their "warranty manager" who gave me the absolute run around about getting my malfunctioning barrel replaced. These were the exact words after explaining my situation and repeated frustration from a failed product and awful communication; "I can't warranty your part, you have to pay to mail it here, once we receive it and eventually find the time to install your barrel onto one of our guns, run several different types of ammo through it at different distances and then we will make the determination of replacing it for you or not. To me, CBC has given me multiple impressions that they don't stand behind their products nor do they care about customer outreach and association. They don't care about the customer. What they do care about is taking your money, shipping your product out at some point during the week or the next 3 weeks. I can name 5 somewhat reputable AR manufacturers that would send a new barrel to me in the drop of a dime, and wouldn't hesitate to resolve the issue at their very best. I was convinced that I'd be a lifetime customer up until this issue which I fought tooth and nail for, along side of my extreme patience and understanding. read more

When I contacted them, they told me they don't sell those other slings anymore and when I told them what they had done nobody offered to refund me the difference. After a couple weeks of dealing with them and getting nowhere I requested a RMA to just send the entire order back. I have not had a response in a month now. "Ok, I bought an upper from CBC Industries. When I got it I inspected the upper to make sure it was done right. First thing I found was the gas block was not put on all the way, so I went to fix it. Shit happens, that's why you check. Found out the barrel had no gas hole. Contacted them, shipped it back, and you'd think before they shipped it back to me they would check everything. Nope. They sent it back with the wrong gas tube, a much too long one. So I contacted them again. They said they would send out a new one asap. I got it, and they sent me the wrong one again, so I contacted them AGAIN. They said they don't understand what's going on, so I went out and bought the one I needed, and sent them pics of the right one. You figure they're selling them, they should know this stuff. I was cool about the whole thing, just asked for the $$$ for the part. They say because I fixed it, they are no longer able to help me. Made the decision to buy the cbc branded lower based on pictures on the cbc website. website pictures looks similiar to the m5 lower. the profile of the CBC branded lower (by the pictures on the website) looks like it would fit with my Roam stripped upper or my m5 upper (all lr308 spec). but it doesn't. Just be aware that this is not the actual ar-308 lower you're getting. the lower will pin up just fine with all lr-308 gen1, but the lower i got looks exactly like the dpms gen1 lower. The profile and lines isn't remotely close to what the pictures show. the only upper that the lines and profile match up perfectly with is the dpms branded upper. customer support was quick to reply but offered no solution. what a waste of time and money read more
