I finally found a car here at Charles Boyd Chevrolet, I asked a bunch of questions, got pictures, video, history, and decided to purchase, CAME TO A PRICE with their salesman Parker. I advised him I would be there the next morning. I live over 2 hours away from this dealership and you do not drive 4 hours total for a look see, the decision is made. I had to make arrangements for a car service in the morning as well as pet sitting and picking up a certified bank check for the amount discussed out of my bank account. Lives disrupted. Within a few hours I get a text so sorry the car's been sold, would I consider an alternate vehicle? As if I would continue to do business with them? why so they can do it again? I was supposed to be there in the morning!?! What kind of people does this dealership hire and how do they sleep at night? It's a shame underhandedness still surprises me, I hope they made a buck seems they made a sale but they certainly lost a customer and I will let anyone who cares about shopping with these people know. Living two hours away, I requested detailed information and photos of a vehicle prior to my arrival. Relying on their representations, I finalized all paperwork with my lender and traveled by train to purchase the car. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of signing the closing documents before physically inspecting the vehicle--a lapse in judgment on my part, driven by misplaced trust in a seemingly friendly salesperson. Upon getting into the car, I immediately discovered multiple significant, undisclosed damages: the rear entertainment screen behind the driver's headrest was shattered, there was a deep scratch on the dashboard, the leather was torn, a second-row seatbelt was completely jammed, and a third-row seatbelt was missing entirely. Recognizing that I signed before inspecting, I took accountability for my trusting nature, said nothing at the time, and decided to absorb the cost of these repairs myself. However, the dealership's operational failures did not end with the physical condition of the car. Twenty-six days after the sale, the salesperson finally contacted me to state there was a DMV block preventing the processing of my license plate. I proactively resolved this block the very next day. Today, with my temporary tag expiring in just 14 days and having heard nothing, I followed up. In response, I received a dismissive message casually informing me that their title clerk's submission was rejected twice as of August 5th. They unilaterally decided to apply for a "title only" to perfect the lien and bluntly instructed me to go to my local tag office to purchase the plates myself, brushing the entire ordeal off as a mere "inconvenience." Do not let a friendly demeanor lull you into a false sense of security. Murphy Motor Co intentionally withheld information regarding the vehicle's condition and completely mishandled the registration process, ultimately leaving the customer to clean up their mess. Inspect every inch of your vehicle, verify every document, and seriously consider taking your business to a more reputable and professional establishment.

The car was at the Oxford location, the distance was a bit out of our way but we had seen so many awful, disappointing used cars, we drove out. We are so glad that we made the drive! Not only was the Volvo in immaculate condition (no kidding, view photos!) but the sales team was wonderful! We were greeted by George and David. The car had an alert come up on the info screen and it had to do with an auxiliary battery that manages the auto on/off. David immediately handled the issue, ordered a replacement battery and covered the cost to have that battery installed. We got a great deal, vehicle included the manual and all service records. Clean Carfax, too. We returned this week to pick up our permanent tags and George put them on the car for us. As far as used car dealers go, this was by far our best experience yet. Every single employee was professional and friendly. Highly recommend!

He appears to be absolutely honest, tells it like it is and positively does not gouge customers. I personally have never heard one word against him or his business. If Ralph can't handle your problem, he will be the first to admit it. I trust him and his work and tell that to my friends and family. I find the negative reviews almost unbelievable. I'm sure that the whole story is not being told. Ralph's is one of few good places around to have your car serviced.
