I have gone here many times love the simple access ride over the river from Kentucky. Have had several massagers from Steven the Therapist there. My husband and I have even done two or three couple massagers there as well. Lots of different things you can try to make you feel better there. One of the best massages I have ever had..hands down! After doing my pilates class and running Saturday, my body was in need of a good massage and I hadn't had one in more than 2 years. I bought a Groupon to C.C. Medispa and to my delight, I didn't have to wait very long to get my massage scheduled. Located just across the river in Jeffersonville, IN, this spa is right in the center of local shops on Spring Street. The entrance is a little strange as it is connceted to another salon called the Grapevine. There are a set of curtains that lead upstairs, down a hall and into C.C.Medispa. Once inside though- it was a lovely atmosphere. My massage therapist was Brandi- a petite, young lady with a warm smile. She took me back to a very pretty room filled with scents of lavendar and mint. She inquired about any trouble areas I have and prepared me for the massage. Brandi may be small- but she gave a big massage! I am very small myself- so often times the correct amount of pressure is not used on me to really get those knots out of my sore muscles. Brandi used elbows and knuckles and worked the knots out- and I was in heaven! She was awesome. This Spa offers a variety of services like eyebrow threading, facials and reflexology. I would give this place a -10 if possible. DO NOT GO THERE. I purchased a red dragon mani pedi with facial on a groupon. Between the time of purchase and my appointment the place had moved from Hurstbourne Lane in Louisville to Jeffersonville IN. When I called to schedule the appointment there was a 3 week wait. A day or two before my appointment they called to reschedule because the technician had a death in the family - another 3 week wait. The day before this appointment I called to find out how long the service would take. I was told 2 hours but that didn't include the facial and was told I would have to come back for that because that person wasn't going to be there. Really. I said no, unacceptable. They scheduled me with a massage therapist to do the facial 40 minutes prior to the mani/pedi. I arrived on time. There is some paperwork that takes less than 5 min to complete. They kept me waiting 25 minutes. It gets better (sarcasm). While I was waiting they called a customer to cancel his massage because the massage therapist had called in sick. I could hear him over the phone saying that he had already rescheduled once for the same reason. They offered him other dates the soonest being 1 week. He did not reschedule. Receptionist was sarcastic and fake; you could tell that she relays this cancellation a lot. It gets better (sarcasm). I was finally called back for my facial. The "technician" never asked me about my skin type. She never asked me one single question. I got a couple of lukewarm towels and some greasy cream rubbed on my face and a little neck and shoulder rub. She knew I was getting cranky because she kept me waiting so long....no apologies. What few words she said were sarcastic. Next up, mani/pedi. There was no soaking or massaging of hands or feet. Feet did go in some steam, which I'm not sure was a clean device. Basically the service consisted of some filing, base coat, 2 coats of polish and a top coat. I can do this at home. Oh yes, a sandpaper file was used on one callous on each foot. I can do this at home. It took 2 hours. I did leave a tip to be courteous. That is not the end. I wanted out of there badly. As I am going out the door the receptionist calls me back to the counter and asks me how my services were - I said "fine" in the way that you know it was not fine. She asked me to set up another appointment - uh, no. THEN....SHE ASKED ME FOR A GRATUITY. (I've never been asked for a tip!) This outfit knows nothing of customer service. I don't know how they stay in business. They were not busy, but they can't seem to manage to see clients. When you are seen you are not pampered by this alleged "spa". The equipment is old, they place is dark and not spa-like. The employees were not professional. The whole "experience" was a joke. I'm hoping my skin doesn't break out in hives. I'm new to town and in nursing school at Bellarmine and was treating myself to a reward. I found this spa through Groupon with which I purchased a package including a mini-facial, body scrub, reflexology, and hot towel 30 min massage. Needless to say, I was excited. Unfortunately, it was not the great, relaxing experience I had hoped for. The scrub that was used was a dry salt which was all over everything when I finished, the "reflexology" was not reflexology (a long rub at best), and the massage was nothing more than a rub down with too much lotion. The mini-facial was the best part, which felt more like a cleansing face wash. Sorry to say, I'll be looking for another place to relax after my next set of classes finish up. read more

I knew what to expect this time in terms of the entrance, location etc. the staff was friendly and service was prompt. I received a facial and it was very relaxing. This year I decided that I was going to spend my birthday at the spa. I had been to CC Medispa's New Albany location about a year ago but hadn't yet visited them in Jeffersonville. I purchased a Groupon for a massage, facial, and reflexology and called a couple of weeks ahead of time to schedule my appointment. They were great about giving me the exact date that I asked for. They even called the day before to remind me of my appointment. I've since been back for a second set of services and the experience has been very similar, easy scheduling and a reminder call the day before. The actual spa is located on the second floor of one of the historic buildings in downtown Jeffersonville. The stairs to the second floor are fairly steep and narrow because of the age of the building. If you glance up into the stairwell it looks dark, but the lights are apparently motion activated and automatically turn on when you enter the stairs. I largely forget about the entryway once I reach the second floor because the actual spa is very tranquil and relaxing. They have a large lobby with couches and complimentary tea and coffee and their reception staff have greeted me warmly both times I have visited. The actual treatment rooms are very private. I'm personally kind of sensitive to sound and I appreciate that I can't hear hallway sounds or people talking in other treatment rooms during my services. During both of my appointments Valerie has performed all of my services and she has been knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond to customize my services. During my first visit, even though I had a Groupon, she offered to change the package around to fit my needs that day. She also printed out some extra information for me on skin care to take home. At my second visit Valerie was really accommodating when I wanted to tack a second service onto my appointment at the last minute. Overall I'm really pleased with CC Medispa. I've already scheduled another service next month. read more

To start off, I originally just posted this review on Facebook. Since writing this, the owner has been harassing me through the Facebook messenger app. The owner wants me to change my review in exchange for a massage. I'm not easily won by cheap excuses and fake apologies. I write this review to make the spa accountable for their actions to help warn others of the treatment you will receive...We've been here twice for couples messages. Both times it was paid for by a gift card. The first message was horrible but this second one was better. When we went to pay today, the guy at reception scolded us for not telling him we had a gift card. Don't worry though he took care of the payment issue and acted like he was doing us a favor. He explained that therapist all take different payments. Coming from a salon background, myself, I know and understand that. However, you are never to make the customer feel like they screwed up. The salon can take care of the payment issue on the back end. This way the customer won't feel like they inconvenienced the spa that they were paying money to. Customer service here severely lacks. read more

I have not been this unhappy with a business in a long time. I was given a gift certificate for a Christmas present that was purchased a few years ago. It had no expiration date on the certificate. I didn't used it earlier because I was a little apprehensive about getting my first massage, but after having one a few weeks earlier, I decided I liked massages. Anyway, I received an email on May 31st from CCMedispa telling me all gift cards expire the NEXT day June 1st. I called after returning from a short vacation on June 7th and spoke to a male that was very rude and basically told me that I could not use it even after explaining to him that 1 day is not enough notice to cancel a gift certificate. I tried to call back to speak with the manager and he hung up the phone on me. I am not certain it is legal to issue non-expiring gift certificates customers paid cash for and then tell consumers they all of a sudden expire, but it certainly is bad business practices. I DO NOT reccomend going there. There are plenty of other honest local businesses to get your spa services needs filled. Still disappointed with what happened to me. read more

I LOVE this place! I purchased a Groupon a while back which got me started at their old location in New Albany. When they moved to the spot in Jeffersonville, I had come back with another Groupon and have returned several times since. I purchased a membership because I love this place. I have received scrubs, facials, and massages and totally recommend them. Valerie is awesome! My last visit with her had me walking out of there with not only my physical and mental well-being floating on a cloud, my SOUL did as well because of our conversations. Do not get a mani/pedi here! It is a waste of your time and money. I only went because I received a gift certificate and I will not return. The person who did my nails complained about the hours she worked and was on her phone during my services. I also did not understand why I paid for the services one way and add ons and her tip another (a tip that she did not earn). Will not be back. read more

This is my 2nd Yelp for this spa. The 1st was pretty bad which garnered me a phone call from the owner, Valerie offering me another massage (complimentary) to show me how wonderful a massage could really be. First off, I have to say she earns big points for following up on a bad review and wanting to make it right. Secondly, this trip was leaps and bounds better than my first. Check in was much friendlier, and the massage was up there with one of the best I have received. Valerie is an experienced massage therapist and it shows! She targeted the right areas with the right pressure and sold me! Check out was great as well and I was so impressed with how this woman handled her business I bought a membership. Obviously, I cannot speak to the rest of her staff (other than her husband Jason who was quite nice), but I can attest to the professional nature of Valerie.
