Showed up without the part, later found a 'used' one in his van. Sat in my driveway for over 40 mins. throughout appt., also said he had to 'go back to the shop' twice, once sitting in driveway for 20 mins., next was leaving for 10 mins., then sat in driveway another 10 mins. Tore apart wall thermostat, which wasn't a problem. Husband came home from work, had tech show him the replacement unit, and husband pointed out it was wired wrong. Tech had wired it wrong! So for the 3hrs he was there, should have been maybe 1hr of work had he known what he was doing. He then re-wired it and it worked....I get billed for 3hrs! THEN woman manager argued with me over the bill when I called to say there's no way I'm paying for their tech's incompetence and I'd agree to pay for 1hr. She was SUPER rude even after I pointed out how rude she was being to me. This was not my fault and the tech coming and going, sitting in my driveway, not bringing a part, then finding it, wiring it wrong, tearing apart my wall unit for no reason...... I'm sorry, I am not paying for 3hrs of him not actually performing the job. Unreal, more upset over the woman manager being so rude and not even wanting to listen. She over-talked me, raised her voice so I couldn't talk, and even snickered when I said I knew the owner and went to school with him and I'm sure he wouldn't appreciate how she treated customers! He came in for under an hour, said the system was working perfectly fine, but we should turn on the auxiliary heat full time. Charged us for two hours of labor. We paid, but my husband called him after work to explain he disagreed with his opinion. Again, told us that the system was working perfectly fine. When comparing our December and January bills with last year's, we used DOUBLE the amount of electricity. We called JNK, hoping he'd make things right. This time, he came and said we just needed a new thermostat and that's what caused such an increase in usage. The auxiliary heat was running constantly. We explained that we knew something was wrong in November and asked if he would work with us on this bill, but he said no. We will never have this company back to our home. All in all, we lost over $1500 for a $173 thermostat.

*SCAMMERS* I signed up for their "Comfort Club" membership back in the winter where you basically…read moreprepay for the spring cleaning on your ac unit. I scheduled mine and the guy told me I needed a new central AC system. Quoted me $13k. Wow. My AC compressor randomly stopped working after he left and the company said I didn't have enough r22 to power it. Sounded shady bc it was running when he was here. A month later, I decide to have a different HVAC company come take a look. They said my wires were disconnected outside and the ground wire was disconnected and it reset the breaker. The tech was obviously trying to get a commission off a new ac from me. I had to buy window units during that time just to get by in this heat. Wasted money that I don't have! He did a great job of troubleshooting and explaining all aspects of the trouble we were encountering. The problem was a bad end switch on upstairs zone valve. The valve power head was replaced to complete 24 volt call back to unit. Test ran and verified proper operation of the unit. The technician was very knowledgeable, neat and professional. Nate is definite asset to an already outstanding organization.
