You will get your prmoised cert but you will have to 100% drive yourself. Saying this program is acellerated is a gross understatement. You do in 12 months what colleges do in two to three years, plus more. You normally have your pre-reqs before you joing the program. Those are included in the 12 month of school. Plus, in that 12 months you are learning all your positions and passing them off in a lab. It's hard to truly communicate the level of work that you have to do. If you are not 100% dedicated to putting in the generous amount of work you will need to succeed here, don't apply. And if you have to work full time on the side, I would strongly recommend considering a different school. I'm really not kidding, and not using some tactic to try and "rile you up for the challenge." This is a TON of work to succeed and admissions doesn't even come close to telling you much effort it will take and when you get in there, the teachers only have so much time with you. You are 95% on your own. So if you want to "shortcut" of jumping into a program that will more than likely just let you in, you will be paying your dues on the other end of this. And lastly, getting placed for your clinicals is extreemely competitive. It is very likely that you will have to travel out of state or use a connection to arrange your own clinicals, or get your limited and find a job that will let you comp. But now were getting into the weeds. I honestly would give them five start if I felt like admissions or the instructors had been upfront, or even able to communicate the fact that they are facilitators only. You will succeed or fail on your own and possibly in spite of the school if you don't keep ahead of the work.

I have been using Canvas for the past year and I find it to be an intuitive platform and fairly easy to use. I am writing this review because I am still discovering features that are new to me through the platform, which further my appreciation for the thoughtfulness, and thoroughness in the design. I think that it serves both the student, as well as the instructor quite well. It allows and instructor some flexibility in course organization, and delivery, with multiple options in the settings menu for customization of the grade book, modules, assignments, announcements, and calendars. The features of Canvas are sufficient for delivering course material for any class and serves as a great organizational tool. Canvas offers "Help" pages and forums that answer questions about how to use its software. I recommend this product to other educators for use as a technology tool for delivering coursework, and it can be used for classes that are and are not online. I believe that this platform can be learned without training, and is another reason I credit its design. This is the only technology tool that I have used as an educator specifically, and I do not see much reason to transition into another platform that fulfills the needs that Canvas does. It simply is a great platform for educators' use and it allows for several methods of communication between the educator and the student such as announcement pages, discussion boards, and built-in features for sharing images and video. I arrived to my scheduled CPR renewal class early, only to find no one there. Moments later,…read moreCheryl Ward (the owner/instructor) called me and said she was running 5 minutes late. Then about 20 minutes after that, she called again saying she is "just up the road" and would be there shortly. Finally she arrived to class about half an hour after start time, and the first thing that she told me was "let's hurry and get you done." She then asked for my pre-test, and I said what pre-test. She went on to say that this was only a Skills Pass Off class. Never in previous communications, whether via email or phone, did she mention the requirement for a pre-test even though I clearly stated on the phone that I was scheduling for a renewal, rather than a new certification. I then told her that I was not aware of this pre-test and asked if there was anything she could do to help me, especially since I drove an hour, and arrived on time, just to get to her class. She replied, "No.. sorry." So I ended up leaving without completing the scheduled class, and having my job in jeopardy since i was not able to renew my certification.
