On…read moreWednesday, Chrissy came out to visit my father who was skeptical of hiring someone to find a place for him to live, but she made my dad feel comfortable right away. She spent a good amount of time interviewing my dad asking questions about his past service in the Army and many of the activities he's accomplished in his life. She then went on to inquire into his hobbies, dislikes/likes, and what he's looking for in a new home. After she left, he nodded his head and we both agreed we had found the right team to help us without prejudice. By the end of the day she came back to us with three places for us to visit and she set up appointments with each of them later that week. The very first place was an immediate fit and I pretty much knew that where we'd end up. It had all the features and options my dad was looking for. However, he wanted to see more and we visited the two others before making our decision. By the following Wednesday, we were signing a contract with the first option. Chrissy was with us every step of the way and joined us on every tour of the facilities. I really can't say anything bad at all about the service they provided us.

They looked at me and treated me like I was some kind of thief......I won fragile valuable items (like fine china) and when I was let into the pick up location (which is in some run down ghetto side street strip shopping building) I discovered the owners had NOT packed up ANYTHING in boxes. Everything was sitting on a table and they told me to take the stuff out to the car. I asked if they had boxes at least and they said they didn't. I asked if they have old newspaper or butcher paper so I could wrap up the fine china to protect it from breaking/damage in transit in my car and they said they didn't......Then at the end of picking up all of my stuff I simply wanted to go back in the "store" to thank them. The lowlifes had literally locked the door while I still had some items on the table where they stacked all of my stuff..........The whole experience was horrible and I can only imagine how these people running the Ft. Myers franchise actually treat the familes and people that are trying to sell off their stuff.........I will never ever EVER bid on another auction that the Ft Myers franchise runs.........I don't trust them.......The whole transaction and process of picking things up made me feel like I was at some crack dealers house and that the crack dealer (auctioneer) was paranoid of everything and certainly not willing to take responsibility for being lazy and careless, let alone creepy in how they acted and how they locked the door on me...........I would give 0 stars if I could but this web page makes me choose at least 1 star......They certainly don't deserve even a 1 star rating!......****TAKE MY ADVICE, DO NOT CONDUCT BUSINESS W/ THE FT. My mother was in Brookdale North for a 30 day respite stay…read more They ordered Assisting Hands to come and stay with her after a procedure, even though her Dr. said it was not necessary. We had family members there to stay with her when she returned from the Dr.'s office. When I called to say not to come they said the aide was already on her way. The next few days were nothing but problems with them forcing the care on us along with Brookdale. I was telling them every single day to stop the service as it was not necessary. I finally got them to discontinue but they still charged 2 additional 8 hour shifts. Credit card was charged and even though they were given proper notice to stop coming they would not issue a credit. They charged almost 2,000.00 and it was an awful experience. I tried numerous times to contact them but they never returned my calls. Never use this agency!

The office sent "caregivers" who fell asleep on the job, let my mother sit in her own urine until her shift was over until the next aide could take care of her, left her soiled diaper next to my mother's bed until the end of her shift so she didn't have to make a trip to the garage, and so many other unspeakable acts. Most of the caregivers had no experience and just played on their phone all day instead of either cleaning up the kitchen or doing a small load of laundry. They are supposed to do light housekeeping. I'm sure there are other Visiting Angels offices that provide a good service, but the Naples, Florida office is not one of them. It was a terrible experience.

My mother has ALS and we interviewed with the OWNER Robert before hiring them. He assured me several times over his team were well skilled with using an electric hoyer. None of them were. It started off bad but because I was going out of town I had to trust that it would get better when they found they're groove. Every single day my mom called me telling me they were late, they didn't show ect., at one point Robert had to go to my moms home to put her into bed (because his help was a joke) and he pulled her catheter out while he was trying to get her into bed. I was disturbed this entire time and sent numerous letters to Roberts administrator only to get a call back that they would do better. Again, I'm out of town and there was no one else to tend to my mother. Today, I got home and went directly to my parents home where I find my mother in bed. NO ONE HAD SHOWN UP IN TWO DAYS!!! The last time a nurse had been there she left my mother's room a disgusting mess with old gloves, my moms pull ups and wipes just tossed around her room not to mention dirty clothes. My dad is going blind and with early dementia so he was not totally aware of what was left laying around. My moms meds were not given to her and her bathroom was a wreck with wash rags just thrown in and around the sink. THEN to my horror I find out one of the aides got my mother into the hoyer raised her in the air, she did not put sling on properly and mom started to fall out! The aide panicked and left my mom hanging in the air while slipping out and not secured at all until another aide could come to the rescue some 30 minutes later! My mom was mortified and I am livid!! I will not stop until all elderly agencies are aware of this horrendous company and that no one hires this joke of a company! Every administrator and the owner is complicit and should be ashamed! I waited lying in bed waiting, an hour goes by and no call and no nurse. I called and was told that the nurse who was scheduled had an issue and couldn't make it. This snowballed from there and there lack of management made it worst. They were fired! I got myself to the wound care at Lee Memorial and that is where I stayed.
