First time using the urgent care and I was leary about going there, but really needed to see a doctor and my primary couldn't fit me in for a few days, I knew I would probably end up having to see a spcialist in orthopedic medicine, so with the holidays approaching, I took a chance, and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very pleasant and nice from the receptionist at the front desk, to the one that checked me in and confirmed my id, insurance and address. The wait time wasn't nearly as long as I expected it to be, as the waiting room was quite packed when I arrived. The nurse came and got me about an hour and a half later, not bad really, most people had arrived with appointments they got by signing up for them online, good to know for future reference). The nurse was very helpful and friendly, took me to the room and got my information and let me know approximate wait time in room, and the FNP came in to see me was very thorough, and caring. She's sending me to an orthopedic referral, and gave me an injection to ease some if the inflammation until I can get that appointment. I love the new check in for Urgent Care, I made my appt online, my time was set, but you have choices on times. Got a text ,and email, both to confirm my appointment. I arrived at 9:30am, my name was on screen, for appointments, with an approx time I would be called in. At 9:38am, I was called in. Suggest you get in early, you may get called before appointment time. Did not have to wait for PA very long. I was out at 10am and on my way to get prescription filled. So smooth and not have to wait long. There are masks available for patients, at check in counter, to put on ,if showing signs of cold/ flu symptoms, as a respect for staff working and others waiting. At one time, it seemed it took hours to get through the mass of people waiting to see Dr or PA, with the check in, on line, it runs so much smoother.. Everyone knows the longer you have to wait, in waiting room ,to see Dr/ PA the more chances to pick up illnesses of others ill read more

I was seen urgent care on 3 Dec 2017. New process of checking in via IPad which was new since my last visit. You also see on a screen viewable by all patients and expected wait time. This is an awesome upgrade as you check yourself in and let the staff do other valuable work. I was taken back to the exam by professional staff member and promptly seen by a PA in no time. I got my shot and prescriptions in about 30 minutes and on the road back to Jacksonville. My doctor is in the CCHC system so I like to use their services to keep everything viewable over the year by my Dr. it is worth the drive from Jacksonville for me. I have never had a bad experience with CCHC family of providers in the almost ten years of going there. Their urgent care facility is in the midst of an addition to get the providers more exam space which is sorely needed. My wife also goes to New Bern for her medical care from Jacksonville also. read more

Today was my 2nd visit within two weeks. The 1st visit was with my 90 yr old mom who had fallen and struck her head. I did not register her on line, but rather we were a "walk in". Mom has limited hearing and I was dreading a long waiting time. We checked in & we only had to wait about 5 minutes to be called. From our first encounter from the front office staff to our leaving, EVERYONE was very cordial and kind with my mom. All, especially the doctor were very patient and mom had nothing but good things to say about her experience. Fortunately, she is fine. My experience today was just as good. I pre-registered online. I was called exactly at my appointed time. The front desk staff even remembered me from last week & inquired about my mom. My minor health issue was taken care of promptly in such a professional kind manner. Five stars to EVERYONE there! (I was in/out in 30 minutes!) read more

Have here a few times in the past couple weeks. Work injury & then personal! I'm a transplant recipient so I get scared when a doctor prescribes something without contacting my doctor cause in his words "I'm not familiar with what I can/can not prescribe, so let me reach to your kidney doctor" Awesome great fantastic!!! Big kudos!! And Dawn at the front desk, Love her! So caring! I wasn't even thinking about the flu when I went in there. So after check in she called me back to the counter to say hay there Marie, you may want to put a mask on. I said of gosh yes! Thank you so much!!! Just awesome. I got up with a slight sore throat Saturday morning about 5 a.m.; by 9 a.m., my throat was swollen, red and painful to the point, I could hardly swallow. At about noon, I was able to get a friend to ride with me and I walked in about 1:16 p.m. I checked in and was seeing a PA & Dr. by 1:40 p.m. They Cultured me and thank God, not strep but some unknown bug. I was given a Steroid shot, prescribed an antibiotic due to history of COPD and lowered resistance from medicine damage for Triple Arthritis. I was out by 3:30 p.m. and on my way and already feeling better from the Steroid shot . The WHOLE STAFF was courteous, kind and though. I am so very thankful that they were there. read more

I was so happy to have found this practice after just moving to this area, not having established a primary doctor yet, and needing some help with prescription refills. I had the unfortunate experience of visiting two others in the area that refused treatment and/or were difficult, and CCHC was just a breath of fresh air. Counter staff was informative, helpful, quick, and my wait time was under 30 minutes, which you can conveniently view from screens with patient wait times listed. The nurse and doctor were both friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely comforting. They were also able to help me set up a new primary care doctor with great recommendations. I saw Dr. Tram Le today at Extended Care (urgent care) this morning. My entire visit was outstanding. Everyone I spoke with was friendly, professional, respectful, and very caring. Dr. Le reviewed my cchc chart prior to meeting me aware of my allergies and other pertinent medical information. She was a great listener to my concerns and offered treatment. She prescribed meds and informed me if I didn't feel better to call. My entire experience at urgent care was excellent. Cchc urgent care is a great option if you can not see your primary. I highly recommend Urgent care Thank you to all the urgent care staff. You all need to be recognized for doing a wonderful job. read more

I used the on-line method to set up my appointment. I was taken back just about on time. Want to start out by saying the lady that called me up to check the paperwork was friendly and knowledgeable. Very good at her job from what I saw. I was seen by Dr. Hodges. Gotta say from what I've experienced, he is knowledgeable, friendly, professional and very easy to understand. Everything is in plain English. And his nurse, sorry I didn't catch her name, can be described the same way as the doctor. I had to bring my wife there a few weeks ago, and the staff was just as good then. I would like to just say that this office has it together. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I love the new sign in ! Everybody was super nice ! The nurse was awesome . I was nervous and stressing and she did all she could to get my mind off what I was there for :) ! The PA was super ! I was a walk-in but not long wait . They were busy !! The nurse and PA both took a lot of time and made sure I was ok and not stressing ! They didn't rush me out and took time to answer all my questions . It had been awhile since I had been to the Urgent Care and a lot of new changes . All good changes ! We went to CCHC because my husband had food lodged in his esophagus. We arrived about 10:30am. There were several people waiting so we were told to make an appointment later for the afternoon. We were pushed even later because they were still busy. Finally after waiting about 45 minutes to an hour we were able to see the PA. She was terrific. She was very thorough with her questions and answers but it ended up with us being sent to the hospital emergency for treatment. Hospital emergency is also top notch and overwhelmed with all the patients. read more

Today was 2nd time visiting CCHC Urgent Care in the last 3 weeks. Find staff very courteous & health care providers attentive & knowledgeable. Made appointments both times & was seen either before or within minutes of scheduled time. Initially tried to see my primary care physician however they were unable to accommodate a same day appointment. In the future will use CCHC Urgent Care & won't bother trying to get an appointment with primary care physician. Both my experiences using CCHC Urgent Care were top notch. read more

People working their covid testing are completely incompetent as well as the system they use. I have sat in their parking lot for over an hour while the nurses and doctors continue to serve cars that have pulled up after me. Cant imagine doctors and nurses at one point seeing me and another car being the only ones there them serving that person not saying anything to me then more cars pull up and they go right out to them ignoring me once again. I am not happy with their service to say the least. read more

The earliest I could schedule an appointment online was at 9 but I was a little bit early so once everyone from the waiting room was called back, I actually got back there before 9, which was great because I was miserable! The PA, P. Gross, payed close attention to all of my symptoms and then we talked about my options for helpful medications. I've used CCHC urgent care for years. In the past the wait has been crazy but since their new check in system I've not had to wait nearly as long. I was seen today and was in and out in about an hour which included my time with the doctor, blood draw, and waiting for a lab result. I felt heard and was well cared for. I like that the patient portal is connected to my primary care provider's system and my meds, lab results, and outcomes are visible to all of my health care providers. read more

I made my appointment online for today's visit, and the front desk personnel were fast and personable. The nurse called my name before I could even sit down. She was friendly and professional, as was the PA I saw, Richard Wray. We discussed my problem, he assessed me, and faxed a script to my pharmacy. He also reviewed some things I could do at home to be more comfortable. I left feeling relieved and completely satisfied with my visit. Highly recommend this facility. read more

I like that fact that you can schedule an appointment online. I live out of town so I was unaware of the app but I think it's pretty cool. I walked in, signed in, and took a seat. There is a monitor in the waiting area that displays your name & your estimated wait time. I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. The staff were all very friendly, understanding, and made sure I understand what was taking place concerning my treatment. I'm glad I chose CCHC! read more

Very nice and efficient, I checked in online, my wait time was under 10 minutes. The doctor was in to see me within minutes, sent me to x-ray, less than 5 min wait. He took 4 x-rays (technician was quick and caring), the doctor was back with my results in just a few minutes. Refereed me to a specialist and faxed a Rx to my pharmacy. The staff was friendly and helpful. Best urgent care visit l've ever had! Will definitely go there if l need urgent care! read more

Great service right from the moment you walk in the door. I wasn't aware you could pre-register/check-in online. So glad you have the service but was bummed to have to watch someone go ahead of me.
