We arrived 20 minutes early for the appointment and were put in a room to wait, we waited over an hour and a half so I went to the nurses station to find out what was going on and they said they had call outs THIS MORNING mind you again my daughter called at 1230 they could have simply said we are to far behind today can we get you in tomorrow but they didn't the nurses proceed to tell me well other patients have been waiting well over their appointment times as well I said this is crazy she just needs to have her ears checked for an ear infection nothing crazy and their excuse was we didn't know there's nothing we can do I said this is unacceptable I turned around to walk back to my daughters room and one of the nurses or MA's not sure which one says as I round the corner bye bitch! I turned around looked at both the girls and said that was so disrespectful and rude I went back to my daughters room and a wonderful lady came in and apologized and made sure me and my daughter were ok I explained to her what happened and she said she was going to have a talk with all of the nursing staff, but that's not all the had us see a provider today that isn't even allowed to fill Medicaid medication so now my daughter with a horrible ear infection has to wait and call tomorrow to see if someone else can send these prescriptions over again by a provider that is allowed to prescribe her the medication because insurance says they can not fill medication from this provider sounds a little fishy to me I do believe I will be changing dr for both of my children because today was a last straw saying bye bitch for being rightly upset about the wait times with no one checking on us to even let us know they are running behind

The ladies I ended up speaking…read morewith told me I had not come in to be seen there despite me confirming the location and giving very specific details of my visit. They refused to answer my questions unless I drove 40 minutes to bring them the paperwork they printed out for me at the visit to prove to them that my son was actually a patient. They mentioned new systems however in no scenario should you ever just not have patients records and be argumentative about it. The questions I was asking did not even require his chart - simply if there was an OTC medicine he could take at his age and weight (that I provided) for his cough/congestion as they did not prescribe one. We will be finding a new practice to use for our son.

Upon walking inside I was greeted by 2 dogs and then I went to the desk and tried to explain my reason for being there. Not even after getting 2 words out I was rudely interrupted and was told that it is not an urgent care facility. Upon reading reviews on yelp and seeing others label this place as an urgent care facility and appointments is crazy. I wasn't even offered the option to make an appointment, just got told to go away.

I had a question about when we would get the link for the appointment and it was impossible to get through to a human through their call center so I had to drive back over there to ask. They finally texted us and saw us--the provider was nice but it was right at 5 pm- they promised they would send the prescription to the pharmacy before they closed, which was important because my child had an ear infection and was in pain but they did not send the prescription and the pharmacist said they were notoriously bad about that and had a generally poor opinion of the facility.

Having gone on 06-03-2025 to the Wilmington Health location in Jacksonville, NC, I have to admit that it's all about who your radiology technologist is regarding your entire experience. I was blessed to have been checked in by a very sweet and professional young lady once I entered the facility and had only sat down for a brief 4-5 minutes before the radiology technologist Laura called my name to come back. Laura was absolutely the best! She asked all of the required questions and then proceeded to have me undress and step up for the fun to begin. Her warm and genuine personality was my first indication that this was going to be a good experience. She spoke to me as if we'd been neighbors for years. During the exam we discussed hair, children, and grandchildren. Her easygoing and calming manner put me at ease and I actually enjoyed those 10 minutes while moving through the different positions for the imaging to take place. Laura is an exemplary example of the Wilmington Health organization. Her professionalism, compassion, and respectfulness was refreshing and comforting to me. Please let Laura know that her kindness does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. Pass along my gratitude to her for making me feel so welcomed and valued as a patient!
