The staff treated me well, and I walked out with a nice mix of store credit and cash in my pocket. I didn't make a big fuss or smile too much because I didn't want my family thinking I was getting any kind of special treatment. They actually thought I was crazy for making the trade at all, but that's okay -- it was my stuff, and I'm the one who decides. My sister in law asked to help her track down two classics from when we were younger. I was nearly always a rock and hard rock kind of kid. I found Aerosmiths greatest hits and Def Leppard Pyromania! I was able to get some albums that I listen to so I was happy. He also will order records for you. The prices are also very cheap he had many 1-3 dollar options there wasn't much over 20 dollars but it was mostly newer albums so it made sense. I'm really looking forward to going back when he gets more vinyls very nice spot.

After making several trips we ended up having the buy accessories from them in addition to renting the mic to make it work. They made it clear they only want to work with professional musicians. It's difficult when you're already grieving to ask for help and be treated like you're a burden. I grew up in Fall Creek and always the thought Hickeys was a kind, local business. That's why we asked for their help and expertise, so I'm sad we couldn't have had a better experience.

More than a used bookstore, this is a spiritual pick-me-up. I came in to sell some used books and…read morewandered the many rooms while they were being appraised. Soothing jazz was playing, the antique rugs made everything feel welcoming. There are several rooms full of used books in various categories. Everything was labeled and easy to navigate. They also have tables of used records and shelves of movies. This is the kind of analog, community-based place that so needs to exist in today's world. I hope it's always here in Syracuse.
