I purchased this system on 9/1/13 from Billy Cole of Dynamic Comfort Solutions. When he came to my home to give the estimate and complete the paperwork I was told the system I was purchasing was eligible for a $700 Lennox Rebate and a $200 Duke Energy SmartSaver rebate. Since the instillation, I have not received either rebate and contact with Mr. Cole to get the situation resolved has not been conducive to an agreement. He constantly skips around the situation and makes excuses, blaming the situation on employees he has let go or paperwork errors within his business, but still has not delivered on the $900 worth of rebates promised.

Over the span of 4 days, ERS swarmed through our house sealing up every possible location where air (in other words, $) could get in or out. The professionalism and cleanliness of the crew was without compare but let's get down to brass tacks and talk end results. The below Duke Energy charts detail our energy use before and after ERS worked on our house. Benchmarking to September, when the average temperature was hotter in 2019 vs 2018, our energy use in 2019 declined 17.7%, which reflected in our bill which declined from $214.67 to $181.16 (-15.6%). Using May 2019 as the comparative starting point, the charts confirm energy usage during the summer of 2019 was lower compared to the same months in 2018. In terms of energy use, our house is now only slightly above average, however that does not tell the whole story. We have a hot tub which uses approximately 20% of our home's energy. Correcting for the hot tub, our energy usage would be 1,024 kWh, just slightly above Efficient rating. In addition, our 3rd floor was unusable in summer without having to install a window AC unit, and 2 portable space heaters in winter. We no longer need to use the window unit, and I expect the space heaters will no longer be needed either. I had an older farmhouse "vetted" by Buddy, making sure that he knew that we wanted an accurate and realistic report. It certainly is that! He did a terrific job showing me what was wrong and right, the nice surprises, the thing I can fix myself and the things that I needed to leave to a pro. Report was timely, and I have it in a PDF, so no waste of paper, too! I appreciate that a lot! Buddy has been a builder, as well as inspector so he knows all sides of the process. He also has worked with houses and energy efficiency *or something like that I think!* so was clear where I would get a good return on investment with upgrades to existing things that might be beneficial to me. The inspection completed on my house stated things were broken or did not work when in fact they were in fine working order. There were things left uninspected due to no flooring in the attic and it being too hot. When you pick an inspector, find one that has a few years under their belt.
