First time here; I needed some bleach products for my hair and I was around the area so I decided to stop in and check it out . Plenty of parking, it's near Dollar Tree. Upon entry, the air felt stale; no air conditioning nor fresh air going through the store. It was hot inside. I quickly went to the aisle that sold bleach products, we were not greeted by anyone. It seems like no one was working there, it was eerily quiet. I did notice that majority of the items did not have price tags. I really like that they have parfum oil roll one; it's a knock off of expensive brands such as baccarat, Versace etc. It lasts so long, smells identical to parfum and is only $6! Overall, your typical nostalgic beauty store with basic items. Customer service was just okay. read more

I purchased a product today (Aunt Jackie's). Price on the aisle reads $9.99. I purchased it, but once I got home I noticed the price was different at$ 10.99. I called and told the clerk about the miso rice. Went back to the store and brought my product along with my receipt. Clerk goes over to where the product is and says "Oh, that price is wrong" which says $9.99! She said it was for a different product and those are last years prices!!! I need to contact BBB and report them for prices not reading what correctly-from the product price & register/upc price. CHECK YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE LEAVING THE STORE! Whoever owns this business must be independently wealthy. Looking for a wig for a costume, they close at 8, I stroll in at 7:35. Nobody greets me and no employees in sight, but I dont need help yet. Look around for 5 min theres at least 2 I could use, I go to the counter and theres 2 girls seated having a personal conversation. I say Im ready for help, girl looks up disinterestedly and says "with what." "Theres a couple of wigs Id like to buy." "That section closes half hour before closing." "I know what I want, I cant just say Ill take this and that, you ring them, I pay you and Im on my way?" "No, we dont do that any more." I chuckled and left, when I start my car I look at the clock and its still just 7:45. So me and my $100 bill just drive off into the sunset. Businesses are free to set their own policies, such as posting store hours but not helping customers long before that time. The only businesses that operate like that generally have owners doing it for a hobby not because they need to make money at it. So if the owner happens to read this and thats your situation, lucky you! If its not and the end of the year sees your books in the red, consider your policies... and if they arent your policies, youre paying two girls to lose money for you. I purchased a package of hair 2 weeks ago for 12.99 . When I went to the register to pay for several paks and f the identical product, the cashier attempted to charge me 19.99 . When I questioned the price difference the stores owner tried to convince me that the 12.99 price was wrong and that he had told me BEFORE that I received a discount which NEVER happened. I drove 23 minutes & arrived at this location for the cashier to tell me she's closed at 7:45 when store hours state closing is 8p. She stated she closed the register & is now unable to complete my transaction. This place is a solid beauty supply store that has been around for a while. I've been a few times, but have never gotten around to reviewing. I like that it cares a lot of Black hair products. Some that you can find in the small sections of larger discount stores like Wal-Mart, Target, etc., but also many products that you cannot, which is great. You can buy hair products, accessories, weaves of various lengths and colors (extensions and hair braiding), jewelry, and probably a lot of other miscellaneous items. There's even a hair shop in the back where you can schedule appointments. I've never been but a customer advised that it was credible. The prices are fairly high for the hair products and the parking lot is a bit of a nightmare getting in and out, but they're convenient and are certain to come through for you if you're having a bad hair day. read more

Tons of stuff and a somewhat small store but the prices are pretty decent. They have just about anything you need including a beauty salon in the back. This is definitely a mom and pop operation which I like because we should all support the locals. I usually just come in for some hair grease, combs and brushes. I just came from this store and the older man at the counter kept ringing up things incorrectly and seemed distracted. This man forgot to ring up an item and knocked on my car window and proceeded to open my door. Totally unprofessional, I just spent over $100 why would I steal from a place I planned to come back to? No staff member should ever open anyone's door from their own mistake; especially as man at that, it was a very scary experience as a black woman today smh. read more

Girl at the counter talking on the phone whole 15 min I was there (personal call- 7:15 on mon nov. 26) young guy who she called to help me when I asked her for help didnt seem to know much about the inventory but worse didnt seem to have any interest in finding something I could purchase. Owner/manager: it might be in your best interestg to light a fire under these employees behinds by creating a meager sales commissions program as part of their compensation. It was quite obvious their interests revolved around the hours passing and customers who drive across town with cash in their pocket are a troublesome obstacle on the way to going home or chatting with friends. These two werent rude and their behavior was pretty common in retail, but their interest should center around finding the customer what he came in to buy and most of us dont mind the help getting a few percent extra if it means the trip wasnt just wasted time. I purchased 3 packages of Rast A Fri hair and was actually reluctant to get it because I was looking for a different texture. I made the assumption that I could return it if I found what I actually wanted somewhere else as is the practice in most retail stores. Wrong. When I got to the counter the lady informed me they would only give a store credit. . These packages were never opened and purchased only hours prior on the same day. If they are that hard up for cash that they can't offer a refund to an unsatisfied customer my choice after I recoup my $35 dollars in credits will be to NEVER give them a penny of my money again! read more
