The sale was approved and because their machine did not produce a receipt the cashier said the charges did not go through even though it was pending in my bank account. The cashier told me I needed to run my card again (pay twice) to receive my products. I had to file a dispute with my bank to get my money back. They took my money and gave me none of my products. Guess it was meant to be not to do business with them. She's everywhere I go. I look up and our eyes meet. I'm in the back area checking out items that are behind the counter. A nice gentleman is assisting me. I would give this 5- stars but customer service is a little wanting. If you go in knowing this, however, you will be thrilled! If the owner is there, he is very helpful and insightful. The other employees not so much. Prices are unbelievable and so is the selection. It's best to do your homework prior to coming and already know what you want! the truth is I am very disappointed with this place since I liked to go there to buy my wigs but on Saturday I went to buy a wig and as soon as I wanted to put it on it opened and I tried to sew it and it didn't stay. because I said I don't want to bother you if it can be fixed but it didn't stay. Today I went to see if they would change it for me or something and well they asked me when I went to the employee he already knows me we had exchanged words in the place and he became a good person and today a man came out to me I don't know him and he didn't change my wig. The only thing I don't like about this store is that you are stuck with what you buy. They still have a sign up stating they cannot take returns due to Covid. Covid is not a thing anymore. So if you get the wrong size of something or what you purchased didn't work or was the wrong color? You're stuck. The prices aren't bad, but the customer service and cashiers could use some be friendly training. And one more note. Do not follow me around like I'm in there stealing. Not everyone is like that. Pros: lots of selection. I was worried after reading the reviews that the customer service would be poor but I was surprised. I had a very patient and helpful staff member explain things to me. They do not have toppers but do have partials, clip ins, synthetic and real hair wigs. Lots of products for hair care and cheap make up. Made a visit yesterday to look for a wig. I had photos of what I was searching 4. Wonderful young lady Shanice, assisted me. Cool conversing as I'm looking at wigs. Shanice, gave me two units similar to what I wanted to try on. My final decision was to purchase Sis Sister Wig Slay Blunt-H Zaya, color Sombre RT 27/30. It's not the color on the photo I attached. The wig was originally $59.99 but was on sale for $30.00. I usually always purchased my wigs online and have a nice collection. With it being hot I wanted something short. Took my braids out Saturday, wanted new wig for Monday. Anywhos , Carla was my cashier, she was pretty cool as well. The reason for only 3 stars is one for Shanice, one for Carla, lastly I do love this unit. So I get home and wanted to purchase the wig I wanted. I see this SAME WIG I just paid $30.00 for online for $16.00 well dang it. Another website $14.00 but not a color I would have purchased. I absolutely love this place! They have the biggest selection of wigs I've seen by far. The employees were very friendly and helped us on picking out a wig. We ended up purchasing 2 wigs that were on clearance (50% the retail price). The Sensationnel lace front wig I wanted, they did not have in stock. The employee ended up calling 2 other locations to see if they had the color I wanted. They we're both out of stock. From then, she said I could purchase the tester as a last resort which I ended up doing and still got the discount applied. I picked a bold and risk-ay color that I usually wouldn't get but when I tried it on, I fell in love with it and just had to get it. We stayed at the store for a few hours and they have great make up here too. The cheap stuff ($.99-3.00) is very good quality. They had a facial cleansing soap I've been looking for for YEARS for my mother. They had a mix of new and old school products. I bought a belly ring from there (hadn't changed my OG one since I got it pierced last year) and it did not give me any infections (it was about $3.99-5.99). I will def be back to this place. Only negative thing I'd say is that you can only try on 3 wigs and there's not enough mirrors. read more

I have never been so disappointed. With 6 minutes before 8:00 I run to the door. As I approach a sales woman comes and locked me out. I beg for her to let me in trying to explain that I am desperate and need to pick up hair for work. She ignores me and continues to lock the door. I knock and beg again, stating that I only need 5 minutes. She looks me in the eyes and walks away from the door. I haven't found a place like this before and I am beyond disappointed. I really like this place for extensions. Not only are they affordable but they're really good quality, well the ones I got at least. They feel really soft and natural! Plus it's close to campus, and I don't have to park on the street. Service was nice, I believe the Asian lady was the owner/manager and she was really sweet. Easy to talk to, and I didn't feel pressured in buying other things. She helped me pick out clip ins that matched my hair. If I could give this place 0 stars or negative stars I would. I have never even stepped foot in this place and now will not from the treatment I received over the phone. I called to see if they carried an item at 7:59. They close at 8:00 PM. A young lady answered the phone and asked what I needed. I asked her if they carried a certain item in any brand. She then responded with were closed. I asked to speak to a manager. She replied with that department is closed and hung up in my face. Now why chance losing a customer and money with horrible customer service. Instead she should have just not answered the phone at all. My family is new back to San Diego due to the military so I'm not familiar with beauty supply stores in the area. I was here yesterday and I came in to get hair extensions, they did have two people there and there were customers getting checked out but I was literally reaching over the counter to see hair and what kinds to get before this line started, it took 20 mins to acknowledge me and then a lady voiced I'll be with you in a minute, continued to ring up customers and I saw another employee that stunk of cigarette smoke; he looked at me and didn't say anything, they switched spots and the lady that voiced to me looked at me and took a personal phone call. I stood still with out getting help still and a lady from THE BACK!!!!! came straight up to me and helped me! After she left two customers with decent service, I was annoyed already but thank you mam, I work in customer service retail and its not good being disrespected as a customer! When I check out the guy that "looked" at me checked me out and he was EATING in my face and just came from his break!!!!!! I get home and this morning had to return because the guy did not put my silk edges in my bag but charged me!!!!! I am beyond annoyed! This is close to my apartment but I can so drive and find a knowledgeable supply store and someone that makes their customers feel great!!!! This isn't my favorite location (I prefer the one in North Park.) but it will do...especially since its a hop, skip & jump from my house. I drove past this place to go up the hill to the college grove shopping center for nearly a year before I ever decided to stop in... They seriously carry any and every hair product I use (Joico, Motions, Paul Mitchell) and I've even discovered some new products here as well. I have shopped at various beauty supply stores throughout the years and this particular location has been the main store that i would always come back to. They have a great selection of many beauty items such as wigs, ponytails, braiding/ weaving hair, clip in extensions, hair color, cosmetics, salon products, etc. Oh, did i forget to mention?! They have awesome prices as well. As far as the customer service goes it's great/average depending upon whom you get the service from. However, let me tell you.. there is one employee that stood out to me from the rest, i believe her name is Lora. Wow! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this young lady. She is kind, patient, helpful, and very knowledgable. Every time i go to this location i would look for her. She would not only educate me about the product but, show me how to use it. I always learn something new because she is so informative; sometimes i would have to take notes. I am such a nit-picky person. I create these visions in my head of certain styles that i would like to have and she always understood me and goes out of her way to assist me even though she's helping 10 other customers all at the same time. Wide selection of hair. I usually come here for the weave extensions. They last long and are great in pricing. The employees are always helpful and nice. I've seen the other post but I have never had any issues during the 8 years I have gone here. If the hair I am looking for is not in stock, they will help me by calling another store to see if they have it. Love coming here. They give military discount as well. This place is decent. It's just a generic beauty supply store. I will say it's organized but a little overpriced which is understandable because they need to make profit too. But Cantu at Walmart is $4-5. They wanted $7-8 for the same product. Also their supply was limited. Also the staff were in the front fighting with each other at the register and I thought that was completely unprofessional. Black people must stop shopping at this store and all of its locations. They hate blacks but love their money. They treat black customers as if they are going to steal. They won't even let you search for your hair. You need to know exactly what it is you need before you go in there because you won't be able to view the hair in front of you. They make it known to everyone who walks through their doors that you are being watched and they don't trust you. "Just hurry up and buy!" type of atmosphere.
