This was my first time at this location and my first time at a refill store in general. I had a really great experience. Bring your own bottles or use the community bottles. Kris (who is the owner I believe) helped me during the entire trip. You tell him what you want in the bottle and he fills it for you. Super helpful with any question I had and honestly made it such a fun experience!! The products are all natural chemical free and vegan! Help small business and help the planet!!!

Delicious smelling light facial oil, cedar sweater sachet, hair detangler! Amazing!

You might not be aware of it yet, but you need to visit this place! Bring your own containers, or if you forget them there's a box with free containers people have donated, then you can fill them with amazing high-quality products for hair, skin and home! I love everything about this shop and I'm so glad it's convenient, right smack dab in the middle of Kensington Village, in the Clem's plaza. (btw, they're open during the upstairs building construction!) Apart from the store being a fantastic source to reduce waste and save money on what we need to buy anyway, the owners (Kris & Katrina) are genuinely awesome humans. We all want to support small businesses like this, right? I sure do.

This is my favorite discovery in the last decade. This is a place where you can eliminate A LOT of your single-use plastics, and refill your containers you bring with SO many things like castile soap, lotions, body wash, laundry detergent, shampoos, tooth paste, mouth wash, ETC ETC! I want to tell everyone that I know about this plan, and I plan to! Help save the Earth. THANK YOU Earthwell refill for this innovative, feel-good-when-you-leave opportunity!

I've been sitting on this review for awhile. Thinking about what to say and how to balance my experience and review it accordingly. I was SO excited to find this refill station, because it's so important to minimize waste, especially plastics that proliferate almost everything we buy. So maybe you're wondering what my issue is? It's so, so so so expensive. I'm all for sustainability, trying to work towards it more every day. But at these prices it isn't sustainable for me to come back here again, which is unfortunate, because I would come back every few weeks if it was. A half a large container of laundry Detergent, a 16oz hand soap, 16oz body wash and another 16oz dish soap, cost $68.00. Yes. SIXTY EIGHT DOLLARS. I should have paid more attention to the website, for some reason I thought they also offered refills for basic namebrand household items like "dawn" or "tide" for those of us not yet 100% switched over to this way of living. Instead it's all natural items and brands. Again, I'm all for it... but for people to be on board and be willing to make these adjustments, the prices can't be so high. Maybe if I was only paying one person vs a family, it would be more worth it for me personally. See you again once I make it big okay $

I love this little store! I ordered some glass bottles on Etsy before coming here, but didn't realize that they had empty bottles people have donated to use, so you don't have to come in with your own bottles if you don't have any! The girl working was very helpful, pouring the solutions I needed. They had a lot of variety and I'm glad this place is so close to me! I'm surprised there aren't more stores in San Diego like this, but I'm glad you guys are open to help do our part in being more eco-friendly!

I just discovered this place and I am so thrilled there's a place where I can try natural products with minimal commitment (almost all items are sold by the ounce), the prices are awesome, I can refill my old containers (or buy a refillable bottle/jar there), there are even some free donated containers you can use, the service was exceptional, and there's free parking. They also sell reusable bamboo utencils for lunch, bamboo straws, straw brushes, lunch containers, pet shampoo bars, human shampoo bars, bamboo toothbrushes, floss, shavers.... you know what, just check it out for yourself! I added a few photos so you can see some of their products and great prices.

The face station, all natural products solely for your face (and reef-safe sunscreen!)

Earthwell Refill is the ONLY natural product refill center in San Diego and I am soooo glad they exist! Kris and Katrina know something about everything, and have a natural alternative to any product you could think of. The quality is one thing but the selection is beyond amazing. Earthwell is open daily and it's always best to stop in midweek/mid afternoon if you want to avoid crowds. There is only one scale for weighing and filling, so be kind and be patient. Not much is better than having all natural products and being able to support a small, family business. You can get lotions, detergent, shampoos, and plenty more here at Earthwell. Even if you're unfamiliar with zero waste living, you absolutely have to check this place out!

She took the time to explain everything she was doing, and you could tell every step was thoughtful and intentional. I left feeling like I had just walked out of a luxury spa...completely relaxed, refreshed, and honestly a little "spa drunk" in the best way. The massage during the treatment was absolutely incredible and such an unexpected highlight. She never rushed a single step and was so focused and attentive throughout the entire experience. You could really feel the care she puts into her work. My skin already feels amazing, and I'm already looking forward to my next session with Stossi! If you're considering booking with her, do yourself a favor and make the appointment. It was one of the best self-care experiences I've had in a long time.

They have phone cases for all types of cellphones, which is nice because some places that you visit only have phone cases for iPhones. I have an iPhone 7 Plus and I was very impressed at the selection of phone cases available. I used to have a Samsung and I was equally as impressed that they had cases for them, as well. Their prices are high, no doubt; especially for a phone case. They were all $29 for a case. I wished they were a little bit cheaper or had a special deal or something if you buy more than one case. I would have loved to buy 2 or 3, but I couldn't see spending almost $90 on 3 phone cases. I did however buy 2 cases; one for my son since he did a great job taking care of his sisters while I was on my trip. The prints on them were really cool. From Marilyn Monroe and Jimi Hendrix to different city scenes in New York, San Francisco, Paris, and San Diego to graffiti scenes, etc. They had wallets and credit card holders that had some of the same scenes, as well as bags, leather magnets, leather key chains, shirts, print art and even skateboards. The cheapest thing in there was the phone case. They do have a Yelp check-in offer for 10% off your purchase, but the cashier didn't enter it right. I even showed him on the receipt that it says the total discount is 5%, not 10%, but he gave me some lame explanation saying he took 5% off of each case, when in fact he only took 2.5% off of each case. I didn't want to stand there and teach math and haggle over the issue, so I let it go. Either way, the most important thing was to get something for my son and I achieved that.

I work in Customer service, so i know what it takes to be in this kind of work enviorment. Karla, one of their few great employees, is probably the best one there! Probably the best I have ever known! Everytime I've walked in there i am greeted with a smile and a Hello, and she always asks how im doing and ive seen her ask people where they are from (its a touristy area) which goes to show how much they care for their customer experience. There are a lot of choices here for art, their theme is very contemporary and modern, and like the name suggests it has many pieces inspired by street artwork. Thankfully the wonderful miss Karla was willing and able to help with my search for a great item. Her knowledge of the store and placement was astounding. She helped me get a wallet/card holder that had California on it. It was a great choice, my friends are always telling what a nice wallet it is, and to be honest its pretty great What sold me for this place was the service and people working there. Some places just forget the whole customer experience, not this place though. Karla just gave me hope for this world that there are still genuinely amazing people out there.
