But this year when Jack came out to trim my palms, he informed me that my very tall pine tree had died due to beetle infestation. I am on a fixed income since I retired and he quoted me such a good price for a very tall tree. Originally I was going to have him cut it down mid May, but because the weather was getting hotter, I decided to have him cut it down earlier. He came out yesterday and did a good job taking it down with minimal disruption to my neighbors. I am so happy it is gone because all the needles were clogging my pool vac and filter. I couldn't even tell the tree was there before because they spread my rocks over what used to be the base of the tree. They ground out the base and it was as flat as the surrounding area. STAY AWAY…read more Absolutely unacceptable work. What was supposed to be simple trimming turned into severe over-pruning that completely ruined my plants. Multiple mature, full, flowering shrubs were cut down into stiff, unnatural box-like shapes with most of the blooms removed. The entire look of my yard was drastically changed in a single visit. This is not professional landscaping - it's careless and shows a lack of basic pruning knowledge. When I contacted the owner about it, my concerns were dismissed and he hung up on me. Save yourself the frustration and go with a more competent company. Photos speak for themselves. ***Update***: The owner's response speaks for itself. Rather than addressing the legitimate concerns about the quality of work, he chose to attack me personally and publicly, calling me disgustingly rude and telling other businesses never to work with me.
