I took a short flight from Manila to Busuanga Island in 2025. It was about an hours flight on a smaller jet/propeller plane that could probably seat about 60 people. For short flights on these smaller planes, you just can't compare them to bigger flights on bigger jet planes. I found the employees to be just fine, especially at the airport level. There were employees sitting right next to the self check kiosk that processed my ticket for me. Don't think that would happen on US soil. Lol. There is an option to purchase snacks or drinks but not many use it for this short of a flight. These smaller planes you usually have to deboard straight on the tarmac going down some steep stairs. Baggage claim is much smaller thus much easier. The airports on the smaller islands are much more mimimal, definitely has that travel adventure spirit to it. The airport in Manila looks like any big city airport, and actually to get to the gate or plane from this airport, you will usually have to take a shuttle to get to another part of the airport. I found it to be pretty straight forward and organized. For bringing me to a much more remote area, even tho not the most comfy, I just gotta give them props on doing that in a professional and more importantly safe manner. read more

My trip to the Philippines is a true dream getaway but flying with Cebu Pacific was a nightmare! I booked a flight with Cebu Pacific to go from Clark, Pampanga to Bohol. Unfortunately there are not many flights going to Bohol so I had to settle with getting a flight at 5:35AM in the morning. For this flight, I got up around 2am in the morning and was at the airport super bright and early. When it came to checking in at the counter, I was surprised to see the check in screen showing my flight was the next day and that it was making a stopover in Davao versus a straight flight. The airport attendant couldn't explain why and advised me to go in line at another counter. While I was waiting in line, it was then that I noticed I got an email at midnight about 4 hours before telling me that I had been rebooked to a different flight due to "additional servicing activities." I was shocked and surprised. Not only did they give me less than 24 hour notice (4 hours before), they were rebooking me for a flight the following day- which would mean that I would be stuck at the airport for a whole day and a half. This was unacceptable and just wrong! As I was processing this whole shock/surprise of a rebooked flight, I overheard a family in front of me that was similarly frustrated. It turns out they had the exact same thing happen to them. They were understandably upset as they were traveling with a one year old a g and two elderly parents. We ended up becoming friends with this family as we all tried to figure out a solution. Cebu Pacific ended up rebooking us again for a flight the same day but this time leaving from NAIA airport in Manila for a 9am flight. This meant we would have to take a 2 hour bus ride from Pampanga to Manila and rush to catch this flight. Cebu Pacific basically gave us cash for the bus ride and then we were on our own to go and hurry to catch the Manila flight. Though better than next day flight, it was still quite stressful and quite the burden! At the end, we all caught the 9am flight to Bohol but the stress and the inconvenience Cebu Pacific caused was just wrong. It's completely unacceptable for them to cancel a flight and rebook you for a next day flight and then rebook you again and have you take a 2 hour ride to Manila. This whole experience was terrible. Once we were on the Cebu Pacific flight, they were so cheap. They couldn't even give us water. Everything had to be paid for. If you want 50 cents chips or water, you better be prepared to pay for it! I don't see myself taking Cebu Pacific again. read more

I cannot begin to tell you how frustrated and angry I am with the Cebu Pacific Airline. Twice I have been forced to pay an additional $2000 pesos just for one bag which was supposed to be part of my original purchase! You say that I started my request for modifications too late but that is simply NOT TRUE! I got to the Cebu Pacific check in window at 12 Noon (12:00) for a 2:40 pm (14:40) flight. That was 2 hrs & 40 minutes before the flight. There were no less than 4 agents helping me and I was assured that my request had gone through. I was still to pay and additional $840 pesos but that was at least tolerable. They were simply waiting for the agent's response, I presume you, to reply. I literally stood at the counter for an hour and 20 minutes waiting only to find out that it was too late??? I am 69 yrs old and this was ridiculous and uncalled for! My original booking said that I was ENTITLED to one free checked bag! You should know that there were MULTIPLE empty seats on this flight including the two next to me, the three in front of me and three across the isle! There was a great deal of overhead cabin space and also people with bags as big and heavy as mine. There would have been NO PROBLEM stowing my carry on instead of paying $2000 additional pesos to check it! Honestly, what kind of airline are you running that chooses to rip people off at check in when they have very little alternative? TWO TIMES this airline has done this to me! $4000 pesos for a bag that fits easily in an overhead bin. Is this how you make your money?? And let's be CLEAR here. I blame you personally for making me stand and wait at the counter for an hour and a half after I was told that my request had been accepted! I will NEVER fly this airline again. I will find ANY other means necessary to get from place to place and I am going to write the most scathing review possible on every review site I can find to WARN others of your untoward and ripoff policies. I tried to cancel a flight after plans changed. I had paid extra for the original ticket to have the option to cancel. They have no customer service call center at all. You must do everything on line yourself. Unfortunately their website has many, many bugs. I tried to cancel my flight online following all of their instructions and prompts. It gave me an error code and said click here to try again. I clicked and it gave me a different error code and said I needed to start over. So I went to their FAQ section where it said to use a different browser. I was using Google Chrome when I got the error so I switched to Microsoft Edge. Got the same error codes. I went back to the FAQs and it suggested using the Cebu Pacific airline app. I downloaded the app and tried to cancel the flight and it gave me the same error messages that it had done using Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. So I went to their chat bot for assistance. After about 10 minutes of answering questions and getting the same recommended ways to accomplish the cancellation as I found in the FAQs, the bot finally said they would connect me with a live person. After waiting for 61 other people ahead of me in the queue, I finally got to chat with a live person. I had to provide once again the details of the flight but the website had signed me out even though I was using their chat bot.to you. I was able to get it and I forwarded it to the agent in the chat. Then in the chat, the agent asked if I wanted to cancel the flight and get a refund. I said yes please. And then the website froze and the chat was canceled. I then received an email that said to once again explain my request and provide all the detailed information. I did that in a replied email attaching the screenshots from our chat as well as pics of the itinerary. The email said that they would fix the situation and get back to me. Eventually I got an email from the airline saying I need to go back through the chat session online. I already spent over two hours online trying to get this fixed. So I copied all of the information from my first chat session so that I could just paste the info into the new chat session. After about 30 minutes I finally got connected to a live agent again. She informed me that the chat session AUTOMATICALLY TIMES OUT after 5 minutes. So it was a good thing I had the info ready to copy and paste. After answering all the same questions and providing the sane documents as before, the agent said she would forward my request to the correct department. After that I asked if they have a face-to-face customer service desk at the Manila Airport. No, they have no live customer service agents at the airport. Do I asked if they had a toll free number to call a customer service agent directly instead of using the chat bot. They have ZERO in person customer service. Horrible airlines. Low budget. No inflight entertainment, no wifi, no tv monitors, no food unless you preorder at booking. They do offer snacks inflight but the prices are very high, not worth it. Incredibly rude staff from check in to cabin crew. The cabin crew hides behind a blue curtain at the front of the plane for most of the flight, the only time you see them is entering and departing the plane, and during meal service. After that they avoid interaction with passengers. Lots of flight cancellations, delays with this airline. Our flight departed 30 minutes late and we arrived in Thailand an hour late. Budget airline but really not worth the savings. I've seen several negative comments about them before booking with them and learned personally all the negative comments are well deserved. This is the 3rd email I have sent to Cebu Pacific and the 4th time I tried to contact Cebu Pacific through Facebook messenger. Last Friday I purchased a ticket on Cebu Pacific for a flight from Hanoi to Manila. (Booking Reverence LJKSGT) After I Printed the ticket I noticed that the date on the ticket was changed from November 27th to September 27th. I chose November 27th but Cebu Pacific website kept changing the month to September. I Immediately tried to reach the airline to correct the issue but I found no phone number for a US office. This ticket was purchased at 3:59PM US Pacific time. I tried calling the offices in Manila but the message said they were closed for the weekend. I also tried the online customer care including customer care hotlines but as you know, you don't have a customer care in the US and all offices are closed on the weekends. . I also tried to use the Facebook messenger but couldn't resolve the issue because it's a automated system. Cebu Pacific has zero customer service help. I have tried virtually everyday since I purchased my ticket with no reply from anyone at Cebu Pacific. I have reached out to my Booking agent at Mango Tours here in the US and as of now, they are still trying to get someone to resolve this matter. I also contacted (DOT) Department of Transportation here in the US to help me resolve this issue. I wanted my flight changed from September 27th to the actual date that I had chose, November 27th. Since I have not heard from anybody at Cebu Pacific, I have had no choice but to cancel my credit card purchase because of their lack of customer service. if fact I've never had worse customer service in my life. I give Cebu Pacific customer service a 0 based on how I have been treated and I will make sure this is reflected on all social media as well as yelp and TripAdvisor and the Better business Bureau. As I said, I contacted your airline customer support several times and even got a case number #9540579 but no one has replied. THE MOST TERRIBLE AIRLINES TO EVER EXIST! Notorious for delaying flights (or cancelling them last min) and "losing" your checked-in luggage. I understand now why I saw people taping all their bags together to ensure they wont get stolen in transit! Their website has a super scammy design wherein you'll put add-ons by mistake and be unable to remove it. I had a vacay flight to Boracay and I regrettably chose this airlines. They checked-in our tickets, made us wait in the heated halls leading to the plane for 20 min (mind you its like 90+ effing degrees outside) and told us to go back to the terminal because of "problems." The flight was then delayed 2 hours. I had the notion that I could trust them with my checked-in baggage to only find out at the destination that it was "lost" because the "conveyor belt broke." It didnt make sense since I checked it in with a luggage that made it there no problem. I was told by other passengers this airlines is notorious for STEALING peoples things and I really wish I knew this about this airlines before trusting them with my things. Theyre willing to compensate $120 for $2500 worth of things in that bag. They ruined my vacation. I have been traveling for over a decade and have dealt with multiple airlines from SW Asia, SE Asia, North America, UK and Europe and this airline is BY FAR the WORST airline I have ever utilized. When I say I will NEVER book flights here again, I mean, I WILL NEVER BOOK WITH THIS AIRLINE AGAIN. Got enticed by their deal, CEB Pass, and it was all false advertisement. I purchased 14 vouchers (14!!!) and still ended up buying new tickets even though the dates picked were off-season. Nothing on the fine print specifies blackout dates or location. They created this deal to basically scam money off of people. On top of that, you can't absolutely call anyone in their office. And if you decide to just show up in person, you're SOL (sh*t out of luck) with your online transactions because they can't do anything about it. (Just what in the actual f*ck kind of business is that?) Lastly, because of cancellations due to weather, they don't offer refund of your money for free (without purchasing the refundable option) but they will provide travel credits from their sh*tty airline. Oh and you can't use those travel credits to any other member of your family so if your vacation is over, then you're also SOL. Well now I'm not sure how to word this, we flew on cebu Pacific from manila to Palawan and back and overall it was better than expected. We ( at least I didn't expect much) had low expectations due to word of mouth and reviews on various sites. The terminal was chaotic but ran like clockwork when it was time to board. We were seated, took off and 50 minutes later landed in puerta princessa no muss no fuss. Now bear in mind here it was less than one hour flight, I would never ever fly them to Hong Kong etc but in the P.I.no problem. Think of them as the Philippines answer to Spirit airlines. They charge for everything (more space, food, snacks, water) I was surprised they didn't charge for the bathroom. They are a good cheap alternative in country outside of the country god help you. read more

Now that my trip is OVER, I don't have to worry about Cebu's bad ju-ju extending through the rest of my two week expedition over to the Philippines and Cambodia. Unfortunately, if you're looking for cheap air fare...or commercial airfare between the smaller islands in the Philippines, this is it. We booked our main trip from SFO to MNL through Philippine Airlines, which was fine. All the shorter legs between Boracay to Coron and Coron to Siem Reap were booked through Cebu. When you travel to the "lesser traveled" islands, you will probably have to fly Cebu Pacific. For us, we landed in Manila to find that Cebu had changed our flight from Boracay to Coron..and move the flight to TWO DAYS later. Now, when you only have 3 days in Coron, and your flight is pushed back 2 days...there's kind of a problem. Add the fact that Cebu Pacific's customer service line has a minimum wait time of 18 minutes (tried from 3 different phones multiple times..all with similar wait times)...and add the fact that EVERYTHING takes forever and they have to repeat every single detail of the flight itinerary back to you, it can be extremely taxing on your patience. The service is consistently bad at all Cebu phone lines and ticketing counters (Coron/Manila/Siem Reap). Everything is extremely inefficient..and you are at the complete mercy of the airline when it comes to randomly canceling flights. The only reason Cebu doesn't get a one star from me is because the latter portion from our trip, (Coron to Manila, Manilia to Siem Reap, then back) was completed without issues. Perhaps they are just better about international flights than they are for those smaller commuter flights. Helpful Tip: If you are bringing MORE than ONE backpack (under 15kg), book the airfare WITH BAGGAGE. It will save you so much time. They only allow one carry-on size and are diligent about charging you for overages! It doesn't really cost more (unless you have a monster-size suitcase), but it takes FOREVER for them to collect money, hand it off, and hand-write you a receipt. read more

If you have a layover/connecting flight I highly recommend not to book them because they will put you through hell and make you miss your flight. They do not care about you or make any efforts in order to help you. They are known to be late/delayed. We missed out on a day at our end destination because of them. Cebu Pacific is a Filipino Low Cost Carrier competing against the likes of Air Asia, Tigerair and the national carrier, Philippines Airlines. Operating a fleet of ATR 72, Airbus A319, A320 and A330-300 aircraft, the airline has a pretty decent network, aiming to attract the budget conscious travellers. Started out with a fleet of DC-9 aircraft, this airline has grown massively as the Filipino people rely on these type of airlines to travel from one of the cities in Philippines to the other. With so many islands, Cebu Pacific took advantage by introducing many routes and offering good deals to make travelling more affordable. More competition like they say means lower fares for the consumers. I booked a one way ticket from Manila to Singapore to try out the heavily configured one-class 440 seater Airbus A330-300! Usually this number associates with the Boeing 747-400 configured in 2/3 classes. The A330-300 is smaller than the Jumbo jet and you can imagine how uncomfortable it can get if the flight is full. My experience with the airline didn't get off to a good start. The flight was delayed and we were moved twice from gate 111 to 110 then to 109 and the sitting area didn't have enough to accommodate 440 passengers! Terminal 3 is supposed to be the better terminal among all but I feel lots can be done to improve the infrastructure. This is another story. Unfortunately the flight was full in this 3-3-3 seating configuration and it was pretty uncomfortable for me due to the lack of seat width, had to make myself "smaller" to give more space to the lady beside me. To make it worse, a cockroach was spotted on the seat in front of me - this is a fail! A massive fail. Anyway, we were stuck at the gate for a while, captain mentioned about an issue with another airline, Cathay Pacific. Not sure what was he talking about. I remember one of the engines was running while we were waiting (15 minutes) and using my flightradar24 app to check, there was hardly any traffic! So finally we were off. Announcements were plentiful during the flight and we had a quiz which ended quite fast. The winner got a goodie bag. The crew were hardworking and professional but looked stress, having to take care 400 over passengers to Singapore and back is certainly a stressful day especially dealing with difficult passengers. Inflight meal was ok and there is wifi offered on this flight. I didn't use it even though it was dirt cheap. Personally I will avoid flying on 3-3-3 configured A330-300, if you do book yourself on one, get yourself the 2-seater near the rear. One row is less expensive than the others, get that one. Will I fly with Cebu Pacific? After this experience, I don't think so but then one flight isn't fair to write this airline off my list. As this was a business trip (& my business is likely cancelled) my ability to go back is negligible. I contacted Cebu Pacific Support team and they will not refund me, (despite the fact that they did not conduct this flight). Frankly, I'm being hustled and hassled because they know I am not in the Philippines and can simply ignore me and keep my money. Lola can't stand that long so we ask the receptionist to print her boarding pass first. We had to explain to her that they do not even qualify to be in that line... She obliged after some heated discussion. The airline should comply with their own policies, regardless of who is requesting for special privileges, else they make another line for VIP persons and not use the senior line to accommodate them while leaving seniors standing for hours... HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO STAY AWAY FROM CEBU PACIFIC!! Worst experiences I've ever had with an airline. We booked and paid for our flight from Manila to Boracay 2.5 months ago. The money was taken out of the bank account 2 days after booking (October 15th 2018). So we are all cleared and ready to go and expenses all planned out and coordinated accordingly. The morning before our flight we received an email stating they couldnt process our payment. I figured it was a phishing email as we already paid 2.5 months ago. I checked my account and the money was taken out and never returned so we should be good to go. I called Cebu Pacific just to make sure we are good and they said they never received the payment and they need full payment to allow us to checkin. After speaking to the rep who kept replying with the same rebuttle over and over (obviously doesnt know anything more than to process payments) I escalated it to a manager. She kept putting me on hold saying no manager available multiple times...after getting upset with her she finally got a manager on the phone. They proceeded to give me multiple reasons (which non made sense) of why they need to run the card again (fraud protection, the first amount is a hold, they never received the payment etc) after over an hour on the phone with no help I hung up and got a cab to the airport (1.5 hour ride) to talk to their main office directly and resolve the issue. What a waste of time!! 2 hours of talking to them they kept repeating that the funds was a hold and they need to charge my card again and they will refund the initial amount. Does that make sense? $863 dollars they took 2.5 months ago allegedly is a hold but they didnt take the money but they will refund it once they charge the card again??? We wasted 5 hours trying to resolve the issue they had on their end with no resolution...no apologies...no nothing...they kept saying we didnt pay even though we showed them bank statements and online transactions confirming the money was taken out 2.5 months ago and nothing was reversed. The resolution offered is that they will expedite the reversal of the first payment taken.....why would u make me pay again to refund the first amount which already cleared 2.5 months ago?? This is all less than 24 hours for our flight....unnecessary stress and headaches....plus all hotels in Our destinations were already booked...is this a bulldog approach of trying to get multiple payments?? I had a bigger issue with Cebu Pacific in 2016 as well. They charged my account 4 times (money pulled out 4 times) and blaming it on my side not them. I cancelled the flight in 2016 and had my bank refund the money. The only reason I tried them again is because a good friend said they fixed their service and are a lot better now.....charging me twice instead of 4 times and blaming it on me is not better in my book. The level of service at the Manila airport was about the same as LAX - horrible. The employees don't even bother to smile. And the inefficiency is almost laughable. We had to go through security before entering the building. We then checked in at Cebu's ticketing counter, and proceeded to walk toward the terminal. But we were stopped by a lady who wanted to weigh our bags. She told us our bags were over the limit and we'd have to pay a fee. So, we were directed back to the Cebu Pacific Airline check-in line! The first lady we dealt with never asked to weigh our bags. Really? We stood in line and then learned that we had to go to ANOTHER line to pay the fees. And they only accept PHP cash. Just so you know, I am so tempted to write this review using all the puns I can think of. Cebu Pacific is right up my alley. Actually, it's right up everyone's alley. CHEAP FLIGHTS. HELLO. Well, except for those who make a big deal about how much legroom is available--unless you're a tall person then that's a really valid concern. But I don't know why some people tend to fuss about this airline much. THIS IS A ***BUDGET*** AIRLINE. Like with any budget travel company, you really get what you pay for, so adjust your expectations accordingly. I've flown with Cebu Pacific several times and I guess I'm just lucky enough not to have experienced any of the horror stories I've heard regarding delays and overbookings. I've even experienced the *smoothest* landing I've ever had on a plane, by a pilot aptly named as Lucky on a flight home from Hong Kong--and I have experienced flying with other budget airlines and a few major airlines. This airline has really made traveling more accessible for everyone, and it's responsible for all the "travel bugs" that's been biting everybody's butts and keeping everyone's eyes peeled for Piso Fares. Also, great news for VEGANS: There used to be no available meatless meal options. But now, they offer SOON Veggie Ramyun (a brand of instant veggie Korean noodles) in case you forgot to eat something before your flight or can't find something to eat in the airport. You can just order it on the plane as it's not indicated on the online booking. It's pricey and not exactly healthy, but it's going to save your tummy from experiencing its own turbulence. :P read more

The shittiest airline in the Philippines. DO NOT FLY WITH THIS AIRLINE. My flight was delayed for 6 hours - 6 Fucking hours. And the weather was fine. This is unacceptable. This is unprofessional. They could only say that the plane was not available. That was very irresponsible. Really? You took our money and did not have a plane available. Bullshit! If I could give this airline -5, that's all it would deserve. The website is near useless to add a checked piece of luggage. I called before the 4 hour deadline prior to departure and was told I was too late. The idiot argued with me until the deadline passed and would not add a checked bag. No supervisors or managers were available. Only for some idiotic thing called a "soft" call. The carry-on allowance is 7 pounds. I suppose that means you can only take a paper bag on board. It's the last time I every fly this airline. It just has NO redeeming quality. read more

Worst airline I have ever flown on. Every flight was late. Bought an "All in" (taxes included) ticket to Kalibo (Boracay) and still had to pay airport terminal fees in local currency. Flight check-in was mass chaos. At least the ticket was cheap........ CebuPacific's website doesn't work properly for CC's issued outside of the Philippines. Using their website requires a lot of clicks and there is a lot of extras like travel insurance to decline- constantly. I ended up having to find a local "payment" center to pay in cash. Evidently, this is fairly common with them, but the cash payment in person was not all that hard. read more

When I'm looking for cheap flights I automatically go to CebuPac as they almost always have a promo. Of course, the cheapest promo fares are the ones available a year ahead or at least six months ahead, and those are what I try to get if I'm planning a trip several months ahead. Of course, you also get what you pay for, so don't always expect the best service. One time, when lines were unusually and excruciatingly long at the immigration counter (we were already there for over an hour), it took CebuPac forever to ask immigration to prioritize people from our flight - I think it was already boarding time then. My companion, a first-time-traveler, was one of the last passengers in line and got held up for around five minutes at immigration before being finally allowed to pass. All this time I was asking CebuPac staff to wait for a few minutes but then they have already closed the boarding gates. Good thing the Air Passenger BIll of Rights was signed into law sometime after that, so I now feel more secure that I or any of my travel companions will not be offloaded that way again. As a fairly frequent traveler, I am also used to CebuPac's flight delays in majority of my flights. I guess this must also be because they have so many - if not the most - number of planes, so one delay can affect the rest like a domino effect. Again, this is a small price to pay for the cheap flights you get. I - and I suspect most passengers - will be happy, though, if CebuPac raises the bar for service and efficiency. I recently have had two very negative experiences with Cebu Pacific in the recent past where they have cancelled booking and not allowed for any rebooking without horrific extra costs. Typically, they offer a good promo fare pricing on their website but this does not include any of the taxes and surcharges which can add up to more than a standard Pacific Airlines flight. I know when I book with Cebu Pacific that I will most likely never end up arriving at my destination. The planes are small and drastically overbooked. They are never particulary rude when they tell you to F off but they tell you to F off all the same. Thus my Yelp rating. read more

To say this airline is bad is an understatement. In putting together a complex itinerary for my wife, it was overlooked to prepay for one extra bag (weighing 22kg) on her flight from Manila to Bohol. A simple oversight, right? Nope. We had to shell out $110 USD not only for the extra bag, but they also weighed the carry on and it was like 1kg over the ridiculous 7kg limit. How much did the charge me for this? MORE THAN 5X THE PREPAY. But wait! There's more! My wife was supposed to arrive a good 5 hours before the flight, but due to delays by Hong Kong airlines, she was there 3 hours and 50 minutes before the flight. 10 minutes after the 4-hour cutoff (where we could have paid less than $20 for all of it). The staff (including the supervisor) refused to do anything or make any considerations. Robots. All of them. Customer support (online) was the exact same. Nobody cared and everyone just cited the online details. So we had to pay more than the cost of the entire ticket (which was $80 or so) just to bring on an extra 22kg suitcase AND we were charged extra for a carry-on which was NOT heavy or unusual. This airline is nickel and diming its customers and essentially extorting money from them at the "last minute". We'll never, ever fly this airline again and hope others make the same decision. read more
