Came here yesterday as we were wandering around newly-vibrant SoHo! It feels almost back to normal now, with so many people out and about and all these outdoor cafes full of people! This was one of the more popular cafes, with inviting huge wooden tables right outside (set-up reminded me a bit of Stone Street in New York, when I used to go out there during training!) and we decided to give it a try :)
As it turned out they have a very cool 3pm-6pm deal where everything is only 5 pounds, both food and drinks. So we got lucky with that! Had a pleasant Romanian waiter too. I got the Tortelloni pasta (with peas, mint and pecorino inside) and boyfriend got the Carbonara with guanciale. The portions were quite small but it was such a hot day (over 30c) that I actually felt full only halfway through! For drinks I got the Hugo Spritz (which I had never tried before, and which was super good and refreshing!) and bf had a litre of beer. And finally for dessert he had the panna cotta and I had the cherry sorbet which was more delicious I thought and again super refreshing :)
It was my first time in SoHo since lockdown and being here on a sunny day, surrounded by others jovially eating and drinking, made it feel like we were on holiday somewhere in Europe :) read more
