Brock Bowes is a competitor for Top Chef Canada, and have worked in kitchens around the world, including Michelin-starred restaurants. Brock has already been on Chef Canada and even donated his winnings to charity! He is so passionate in what he does and I am always excited to meet people working in their element! For the food: they have rotating menus to keep things exciting! They have big boards (limited supply and it changes too!) that you need to order at least 48 hours notice - make sure to call in or fill out the contact form! Courtney and Brock made this a special memory to remember forever as they put a little bit of everything for us! Tenderloin, ribs, chicken, sausage, cornbread, with fresh veggies. Lots of ingredients sourced and grown locally! We had two big boards, and filled ourselves up! Oh and btw the chicken gravy is EXQUISITE, lather it on everything! I can't believe how long I can be ignored by the staff and the manager. Apparently the record so far is 20 minutes. If it wasn't for the staff prioritizing the pick up orders, maybe they would have gotten to me sooner, but that is not a great excuse. And after hovering on the other side of the counter for over 10 minutes in front of me, the manager finally looks at me and asks if I have been helped. All this time she didn't check? And then there are the people picking up orders pushing into the line to get their orders first. Clearly showing up in person is not a good idea. Also my wife and I got different sized burritos. we couldn't tell the difference between the small and which one was the regular? The food line was constantly being stocked, and taking so much extra time. And so much of the food looks like it had been there all day, eww. I can't believe they are still in business. It's such a long wait no matter when I go in. I think I'm good now...I have learned that I'd rather spend my money at places that value my time and business.

But, not having been a couple years now, we decided to give it a try and we were very pleased we did. It's just wrong, I'm sure, but the first place I headed directly to was the desserts and was pleased to see the cutest little pastries ever. They had these little bite size tarts and little mini long-johns that were so small yet they managed to some how stuff them with a Bavarian whipped cream. There were little diamond shaped bites of a layered chocolate cake that was so delicious! I could describe more but I'll move on to the main course. But I do want to mention that little small bites of good pastries is definitely the way to go. I never eat a whole piece of cheesecake or any dessert, for that matter, anymore. Everything on the buffet was very flavorful and what I noticed was that everything had it's own taste. I've been to buffets and it seemed as though everything had similar ingredients. Not so here. They had the best cabbage rolls I've had in a long time, as well as surprisingly good perogies. My husband totally enjoyed his spinach and mushroom omelet prepared at the omelet station.
