The only reason that I'm knocking off a star is for the sound. It seems like it would be a good venue to hear when someone is talking with or without a microphone. Depending on where you're sitting, it's tough to hear. I couldn't hear many of the toasts during the dinner. No big deal because I just got up and moved about so that I could hear. For an event where movement might not be possible, good luck on hearing anything that could be said. The reception I attended had plenty of room. Two bars set up. A DJ. A dance area. The tables. Room for the food. This space can definitely be worked with to fit your needs. Check the place out and see if it'll fit your needs.

Somebody called it barnchic yesterday at the wedding and I think that fits. It's a barn yes but the interior is quite modern, especially the restrooms. At one point in the night myself and another guest commented on how nice the bathroom sinks are, they are really really nice. Claims to fit 350 which may be possible if the weather allows patrons to go outside but the wedding I attended was 150ish? if I had to guess and it was a great space. Service: The bartenders, wait staff were incredibly polite, I felt that the service was pretty fantastic overall. No complaints on my end Food: Some people fret over food at weddings, I personally could care less about the food. It was perfectly adequate wedding food - Its what I want at a wedding, some mashed potatoes, green beans and chicken. Only complaint was the pork was dry. Bar service: I'm not sure if they have an inhouse bar staff or you have to use a mobile bar service but none-the-less the bartenders were great and the drinks were flowing and strong. --- Our service unfortunately fell on a colder day, I imagine if the weather cooperates you could open the doors and have an outside cocktail area during the transition from ceremony space to reception, but even with the weather being cold I thought the staff transitioned the area well. I didn't even realize it was happening until it was done Location is certainly a bit of an issue as its about a 15ish minute drive north of kings island. Great for weddings, bar mitzvah, Quinceaneras, and any other reason for celebrations. The owners and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They know you're there for your special occasion and are there to help. Scheduling os easy. Everything is clean. There's a clearing in the woods for an altar - totally gorgeous! Beautiful location that's accessible via country winding roads, out of the way.

We hosted our daughter's wedding reception at Kayla's Korner at Lake Lyndsay on June 28, 2025. The…read morevenue itself is beautiful, and the lakeside setting made for some stunning photos. However, the experience leading up to and during the event was filled with stress, miscommunication, and disappointment--primarily due to our interactions with Lyndsay Rapier-Phipps. Our initial meetings with Teri and Sam were wonderful--they were kind, enthusiastic, and supportive of our ideas, including adding drapery, fireworks across the lake, access to the décor inventory, and decorating the night before. At $5,000, the venue felt like a great fit. But once communication shifted to Lyndsay, the tone changed. She never met with us in person, and responses became difficult and often frustrating. My daughter even forwarded me texts from Lyndsay saying, "I don't know what to do with this--can you contact them for me?" The draperies turned into a confusing and drawn-out process. I ultimately gave up on it to preserve my sanity. There were differences in what we were told during our visits versus what Lyndsay would email us. The biggest issue was about decorating the night before. We had confirmed with Sam in March and May that no event was scheduled, so we could decorate early. Yet two weeks before the wedding, we were told otherwise. We were offered early access at 7:00 a.m. the day of the event, which Lyndsay called "above and beyond." However, no staff were present at that time, as promised, and the cart and food tables we had spoke about during our planning meeting weren't there. They even did a tour for another party at our venue that morning as we were scrambling to get things done. I was flabbergasted. After calling and texting "Help!" a staff member finally arrived around 9am. We did change the count to include two additional tables just a week before our event (late RSVP's), but the layout had the walkways blocked. The event space says it can have up to 200 people, we had chairs/tables for 150. We had to rearrange every table ourselves that morning--including moving the bridal party tables--causing us to fall way behind schedule even with 20+ people helping. At the end of the night staff began clearing décor before the event had ended. The next day, we realized many of our gold chargers were missing. After contacting Becca, I was referred to Lyndsay, who refused to deliver them and said they'd be mailed in 3-4 weeks. However, after posting my reviews, she texted me to say they would no longer be mailed, and I would now have to schedule a pickup 24 hours in advance to retrieve them. We picked all 80 of them up a week later, and they were still filthy. If we had accidently taken their decor we would have returned it to them directly and they would absolutely be clean. When I messaged Lyndsay about this, she responded with personal insults against myself and said that I was "delusional". It's been 40 days since the wedding and they haven't given us our refunded $500 deposit back. We left the venue immaculate when we left. When I told Lyndsay we would be filing a small claims, she said "small claims could really cost you". I shielded my daughter from all this and she had a beautiful wedding day, and that's ultimately what matters most. I'm not trying to harm any business--this was simply our experience with Lake Lyndsay. Just be aware that while others have had a good experience, there may be a chance this could happen to you as well.

It's certainly a stunning property a lot of history behind it and from what it looks like typically it's a venue for weddings. I had never heard of this property before despite being a Cincinnati native. I would imagine this would be a stunning venue for a wedding. Hopefully they have other events for the public: this was a very neat opportunity to see a musical and to get to visit the historic house and grounds.

My family and I ended up here after a dinner out, we had no plans to visit, just came in a whim, and it quite a nice, mild night to do so. Traffic was light, cost was, well, not that low (though I felt the cost didn't match the experience...$25 a car, for a drive that took less than 30 minutes). The lights were beautiful, yet a bit on the minimal side. Held every year, still a nice thing to do with your family, or significant other to "put the cherry on top" of the Christmas holiday. If you want to purchase them, they are sold at the Jungle Jim's market. I love Jungle Jim's events. They are always a great experience and you leave happy.
