Best salads in New England! I came here all growing up and now come back to Boston from California to visit family and this is the first place I go. All vegetables are super fresh, delicious, and they are so accommodating to vegans / vegetarians / gluten allergies. I am all of the above so it is amazing to be able to eat so many things on the menu! They have gluten free wraps for their salads. I really love Souvlaki, Pita, Spanakopita Etc. Recently when traveling I found Pita Gyros on Yelp and headed right over to get some takeout for my group. I ordered two pork Gyros, two Greek salads, and a rice bowl. The girl behind the counter was very friendly as well as a younger guy helping to prepare food we ordered. An older man came out, and finished up the last of our order, which was a quart of chicken rice and lemon soup. On the way out of the restaurant, as I was carrying the soup it felt really like to me. Once I got in the car, I checked and it was really only about 2/3 full and I wondered why they hadn't said anything. Typically, when this happens at other restaurants, the staff will either take the price down or let you know that there is not quite enough for what you ordered or make some other kind of compensation. That did not happen. I am also certain that the older gentleman was aware that there was not enough soup because he kept telling the younger staff that they were out of soup. Obviously this left a really bad taste in my mouth and not a great impression of the business. For this reason, I will not return to Pita Gyros. To be fair, the rest of the food we brought home was very good and well prepared. To bad management doesn't have more of a customer service mindset. Oh well! read more

Went Authentic (pork gyros, French fries, tomato, onion, tzatziki and paprika red pepper sauce on a pita, $8), and never looked back. Neither did my kid, who housed his mom's identical sandwich with a salacious gusto. Excellent quality on most ingredients - tender pork, sweet tomato, a thick tzatziki spread - with only the fries being a bit of a let down. They were barely cooked and saturated in clean oil, leading me to suspect a too low temp in the fryer. It left a slick on our tray, which is a shame because it's the only thing that kept this from being a five-star gyro. Staff are so friendly, and really went above and beyond to answer questions, ask our preference and make our first visit stellar. Nice little stop on our trip to Cape Cod. Several different types of gyros. Very good and very friendly people.

Came here 2 weeks ago because my daughter heard it was good. I believe I have been back 4 additional times since. It is that good. For shaved meats, you have a choice of chicken, spicy chicken or pork. No lamb. Sounds crazy, right. Don't fight it, just go with it. For me, the spicy chicken is outstanding. It's not spicy, rather, it is seasoned, perfectly. The pita is substantial and fluffy and a good base for the tzadiki, the spicy chicken, the shaved red onion and thin sliced tomatoes. Then...a heaping tong full of French fries. How they get all of this into that pita is amazingly. Another great option is to get the rice bowl, which consists of a tray full of delicious rice pilaf, the spicy chicken, tzadiki and the selection of condiments. This too, is so good. Needless to say, we are very happy that Pita Gyro has arrived in Norwell. read more

Really great gyros with lots of options and toppings. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options if that's your thing. I usually get the Spartan or the Mykonos. Their original is also pretty delicious. I am a regular customer. My husband and I are fairly predictable with our order (Spartan and egglplant supreme)--but every single week, they knock it out of the park. We are healthy eaters---but once in a while need a take out night so we don't have to cook. The food is fresh, made to order and simply magnificent. AND, we feel great AFTER we eat---none of that post meal 'gross' take out feeling. I went to Greece two years ago for a couple months, and I really fell in-love with the food there (shocking as I'm kind of picky). I came home and was seriously craving Greek, and was disappointed everywhere I went until I found Cedar Cafe. Even if I go into Boston, it's not as good as this place. This place came highly recommended, the menu looked great and I was dying for a decent lunch spot (or take home dinner spot!). Since we moved to the south shore, it's left our eating choices something to be desired. One day I decided to buy lunch for a few co workers. Ordered up, and one of them picked up. Came back with the order and .....a coworker and my order was wrong. We ordered the Greek Burrito. We got a Greek wrap, tantamount to over priced lettuce & Feta in a wrap. Called them up, girl on the phone said sorry, we'll have it ready and we went to go pick up the proper order. Only to get a call and text they won't give us the correct order until we return the WRONG order. Wait let's recap; I order food. We GO and pick it up from the office. We got the wrong order. We GO back to pick up the order that THEY messed up. And they didn't mention us having to bring the wrong order back... I called the shop, spoke to the manager who just said hesitantly- I'm just doing what I'm told. When asked him who told you, he said "The owner." I said put him on. Spoke to the owner- whom I've never spoken to and he literally told me 'how do I know you're not looking for free food?' I asked him "what are you going to do with the food? You can't re-sell it!" I was in the mood for a gyro, so I drove 20 minutes out of my way to come here, and I'm disappointed I did. The gyro was so greasy that it had soaked through the bag on my 20minute drive back to my office. The flavor was decent, but I did not like the feeling of oil dropping down my arm, and the French fries were so greasy they were limp and soggy. The food is amazing the garlic sauce is on point very similar to zankou chicken garlic being a la girl Glendale specifically finding a good garlic sauce here in mass so close to me was hitting the jackpot the name is deceiving because typically the cedar tree symbol is a Lebanese symbol so I assumed it was a shawarma place it's actually Greek style which is still amazing real Greek gyro wrapped in the real pita bread my first time here customer service was great my second time here lunch rush time I got bad customer service from the cashier the energy was anxious and she kind of had a attitude with me being that I'm on my lunch from that's the last thing I want to deal with after just comming from work and dealing with that there other then the food is great and you should definitely try it read more

Our favorite takeout place for the last 2 years. Love all the options and that you can really indulge without feeling unhealthy. My personal favorite is the rice bowl with pork, feta sauce and fresh veggies. My husband loves the authentic pita. But we both switch it up from time to time and are never disappointed. Zucchini fritters are also awesome. Only wishes are for a better online ordering app (it works about 50% of the time and can be very frustrating to navigate), delivery and longer evening hours. The staff in here could not be any nicer or accommodating to answer a question. The pita was warm the flavor was on point the meat succulent. They do not have the ground lamb options for the Gyros. They Americanized the Gyros by putting French fries in them and taking the lamb out. If you need to have a real gyro I recommend Norwell pizzeria, down the street from here on rt. 53 towards Hanover. read more
