A stylistic Mexican authentic restaurant with a variety of offerings. My family got it for takeout and it was fire.

Honestly, dinner was just okay ... The atmosphere was nice. The decor looked good and they made the restaurant much larger than expected, knowing it was a papa Gino's in the location previously. Service was good. At one point we counted 14 employees working the front of house. The server checked on us when food came and was friendly. The food, was just okay... the empanadas were good (chipotle queso was great), but the outside was very hot and inside were very cold. My husband had the pollo fundito and he liked it. My fajitas could have used more flavor. It just tasted like cooked chicken and onion, no seasoning. The street corn was also okay, but probably wouldn't order again. Overall, just okay. If I was in the area again and wanted Mexican I would give it another shot. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back there. read more

My wife and I have Mexican Food twice a year..this year we tried Don Brovos Grille in Marshfield. The waiter barely spoke english so it made it difficult to order. We see that there is a $10 marguerita on the menu. Waiter asks if we want the larger size-we said yes. The marguerita arrives and there was maybe a splash of alcohol at best in a Large maguerita and tasted like dish water. We order our food which was good-I had the fajita and my wife had quesadilla-both were good meals. Before we ate I told the waiter there was minimal alcohol in the drink and asked for a shot each to put in the dish water. Long story short- the bill comes and it totals $118 - the foof was $55 and the alcohol was $63- for 2 margueritas! Plus we tipped him so it was a $140 night not well 'spent'. Needless to say we don't recommend Don Bravos. read more

Hands down one of our favorite spots in town. When we were renovating our kitchen, we were eating here at least 2x a week and getting take out regularly. The food is consistently good and we have yet to have a bad meal. The staff is always friendly and the service is great. I'm honestly shocked at the more negative reviews. read more

I ordered the empanada appetizer, mini tacos appetizer, and the carnitas tacos. The food was absolutely phenomenal, and came out very quickly. The music was perfect and the atmosphere was so enjoyable. We were seated immediately. I had a small mishap with my drink, but the staff was incredibly efficacious and accommodating about it. Wow this place blew us away! We were on the way to a park in marshfield behind the library and our toddler fell asleep so we decided to stop off for a nice quiet lunch while he slept in his car seat carrier next to us. The extremely obnoxious loud music was immediately a concern so we asked for any table that might be quieter. Their solve was to literally put us at a table under the speakers. Thanks! I had to wad up napkins and put them in my ears and still leave early and go sit in the car and wait for my family because the ambiance was unbearable. Add in the awful awful carnitas street tacos that should have stayed in the street and were not edible, and this was honestly the worst dining experience I have maybe ever had. Zero stars. My tacos were OK. The meat didn't taste like anything but the shells were good. Totally fine because I was mostly excited for the street corn, one of my favorite plates The "mexican street corn" popped my jaw to the floor. These guys really just boiled a corn cob, spread some heinz mayo and flicked pepper flakes on it. Leaving out the crumbled cheese and greens is already pretty mean but boiling it instead of grilling it is crazy. We like Don Bravo enough that we've been five times, but I do love Mexican food and they pretty much have the market cornered with so little else to choose from. The staff is great, the place is attractive enough, the offerings are good and the price is reasonable. But so often I feel that the food would be a lot better with a little more flavor and occasionally more spicy heat. They put down chips and salsa when you sit down. The salsa is tasty - a little smokier than typical, but it's mild enough to give to a toddler. Perhaps they're catering to the tepid palate of the average south shore resident, but I'd really like more. read more

I was very excited to have a Mexican restaurant in Marshfield and I started going the day they opened. It's a comfortable atmosphere and the service is great. Iv'e tried several dishes and enjoyed the meal each time. There's a good amount of choices for a person with celiac's like myself. My only complaint would be the consistently dry jerked chicken they use in their enchiladas and several other meals. This is the only thing that keeps me from visiting on the regular. read more

The greatest place on earth. Have been here so many times since they first opened and have not had one bad thing to say. Every dish exceeds my expectations and the wait staff is super friendly as well. Prices are fairly cheap as well. Interior is small but designed well and a fun environment. Always start with the queso and usually get some variation of the enchiladas. Ordered the churros on my most recent visit and was absolutely blown away. I have been here a couple times and have enjoyed it. Today was not one of those times. The food tasted fine. The service was not great, but not the worst. The issue tonight was I ordered a cheese quesadilla and when the bill came I saw I was being charged $16 for what was rung in as a chicken quesadilla with no chicken, another person in our party got a chicken quesadilla and was charged $15. I said something to the server who said she believes she rang it in wrong, took the check back and came back 10 minutes later saying that it was correct because she rang in "a bigger order" and that they don't have a cheese quesadilla on the menu (it makes no sense). I told her I have ordered and gotten a regular cheese quesadilla from here before and not had this issue but she still wouldn't change the bill. All in all I was not happy with the way it was handled and will probably not be going back. read more

A group of ladies went for lunch on Friday. Food was very good! House made tortilla chips were brought to the table with a delicious salsa. We ordered the guacamole that was made table side- very fresh & delicious. I had the chicken with mango habanero salsa wrap which came with fries. Fries were hot & well seasoned. Wrap was very good. One of the ladies had the chicken tortilla soup which had huge chunks of chicken. Everyone was very happy with their meals. Service was very good & attentive. Will be back. read more
