When we, as patients are there, we are in pain, at a new environment, and vulnerable. He never communicated anything to me, what was happening, what would be happening... The Cat scan room (I didn't know I was having one, only heard X ray from prior staff) was absolutely freezing! I could not stop shivering and laid down on the cold table. I told him I had a bad back and asked for a pillow under my knees. He reluctantly walked over to get one. Then as I expressed I was shivering, he tells me to control it, that it would ruin the procedure. HOW DO YOU CONTROL your Shivering? Finally after awhile, he walked over and gave me a cover, not a blanket. It was better than nothing. I tried to relax on my own but it was difficult. I was wearing a Tshirt and long pants. After he disappeared, I had NO communication what , when, was happening or going to happen. The machine just made different noises and now and then it would move me. Only because I just had an MRI, I figured it would be awhile but had no way to communicated that I knew of or was told to me. Toward the end of what seemed forever, a different man came and said he was replacing the first one. I heard him later say something to the nurse about taking over and I assumed the first man was at the end of his shift when he got me? THANK GOD he hopefully went home! The second, replacement, communicated, was professional, and kind. That was all I asked, communication at a place I never had been to, a procedure I was not familiar with... do not think that is much to ask. Long story short, I would return but would refuse service from the first man if I ever saw him again.

Downside is a lot of seniors take up almost all morning appointments.so younger patients will have to be in the afternoon. Lunch is 1230-2 pm . When I enrolled my kids into their insurance, the insurance set me up with a doctor for them under the plan. Today I called to set an appointment for them to be seen. I answered their question and let them know My daughter has taken speech and language therapy since she was three years old and she kind of a daydreamer. And that my son doesn't focus but other than that they are in good health. They then said. "I'll have to speak to the Dr. And will call you back." Not feeling right I called them back and again tried to make.an appointment. At which time I was told they would not see my kids due to my daughter's disability. What???. I just can't believe that a Dr. Would refuse a patient for having a speech and language disability. Not only is that discrimination but isn't that against the law?!?!?! How dare they.!?!? I wonder how they treat people with other/ physical disabilities

Jose Ortiz, the doctor I had is great…read more Some of the staff I worked with is not. Dr. Ortiz gave me the right meds just by listening and then looking at the ER papers. I had a doctor at the ER that with all the tests done and the same info I shared, he did not give me the right antibiotic. I had a serious infection and high fever for a week and he doubled the antibiotics I had before I went to the ER... yes, and was charged 1k after insurance. Dr. Ortiz Saved another trip to the emergency room or something worse. I would take a good doctor even if it meant having to deal with some issues with the staff, it might just be uncomfortable to be in that position if you are in need of efficient staff. If you are, the manager resolved my issues when they were escalated, she was kind and made sure everything was okay.

He is patient and always takes time to answer any questions I have. I never feel as if he is in a rush. I am very grateful for his skills and caring heart. I have been his patient since May, and the care I am receiving is the absolute best. He is honest, forthright, and has my best interest at heart. He includes me in all decisions regarding my treatment. His staff is equally outstanding. They are always smiling and caring. The service provided by Dr. Hesita and his team is the best of the best.
