Our local one came in with the cheapest cremation costs. A friend recommended Casper and it was almost half the cost from what our family funeral home quoted us. That was with a discount as well! I called Casper about 2 months beforehand and they were very detailed and provided all the info that was needed. I had multiple phone calls with them and they were able to assist me even though I was in California. I mostly spoke with Jake and Colton during this process. When I arrived Saturday was the only day I could go down and we had a snowstorm the day prior. Roads were pretty bad and they were able to accommodate me even though they had a service going on. Parking can be a nightmare there, I parked a few blocks away near a barber shop. I would recommend this place to everyone!! I was truly blown away by their service and empathy.

The only thing the paper said was the family is composing the obituary. Not true. I went there and handed it to them physically. I had to bring it to their attention. There was a hold up from the insurance company due to the funeral home giving them one policy number when there was three which I personally gave them. I had to intervene again. The final bill was incorrect and then they deducted approx $75 from the insurance money stating that was for the timeliness of the payment which was never disclosed to us/ the insurance held up the payment because they did not receive the correct information from them. Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism at a time which was already stressful.

They issued a death certificate listing a cremation date that does not match the actual date of cremation. When we contacted them to have the error corrected, instead of taking responsibility, we were given the runaround. Most recently, we were told that the date on the death certificate represents the date they "started the paperwork" for the cremation rather than the date the cremation actually occurred. We do not believe this explanation is accurate or consistent with Massachusetts requirements, yet they continue to refuse to correct what we believe is an error on an official legal document. As a result, our family has been forced to continue pursuing the matter instead of being able to focus on grieving. Unfortunately, this has not been an isolated issue. Throughout the process, communication was poor, empathy was lacking, and we repeatedly had to advocate for ourselves to receive basic information and proper treatment. The entire experience has caused unnecessary stress and has ultimately required us to seek legal assistance. Families deserve professionalism, compassion, and confidence that important legal documents are being completed accurately. That was not our experience. I sincerely hope no other family has to endure what ours has.

I felt loved by a person I will probably never meet in person. Everyone at that office was amazing. I now tell everyone I meet that they need to sign up with Neptune, and we've made our appointment, too. The cost was amazing. My mom bought the package 20 years ago, but we didn't pay a dime except for extra death certificates. I can't recommend this service enough.
