Many good officers in the CPDP but the leadership of Sean Mannix and Chris Dailey is inexcusable.

This is a wonderful idea as it advocates for cleaner water and streams (for those who place medication down sinks and waste ways). In addition, this event is a "no questions asked" event. I have been here before for other events such as the R.R.P.D summer camp for youth. My son has attended a week of camp here with the R.R.P.D. These week long camps are held every summer, are free to the public, and are ran by R.R.P.D. These summer camps stress the importance of teamwork, physical fitness and the importance of being a law abiding person. #backthebadge

He made conversation with me and he was friendly and funny. Asked where I was coming from and I told him I was in an Agatha Christie play at The Vortex where I was playing a Hungarian maid. He told me he was just giving me a warning "but I'll need to hear your Hungarian accent." I did a few lines from the show for him. And, not for nothing, but he was pretty easy on the eyes too. Five stars RRPD!! Would definitely get pulled over by them again.

Okay, seriously, am I the only person on the list of potential jurers? I have been called to jury duty seven times and served them all. This court has been the nicest of all the courts I have served on. Beautiful tiled entryway is in the waiting area. Stunning wood panel walls. The visitor's seats in court are the usual rock hard wood pews. So I guess I was glad I was picked so I could sit in the soft jury seats. The Procesutor, Judge and Bailiff were very pleasant to work with. Wow! They pay $10.00 per day instead of the usual 6 bucks. In conclusion, it is a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.

The courthouse was nice, the judge for the day was Judge Oswald and he was very pleasant, polite and calm. He explained very clearly what we had to do to take care of our tickets or contest it. There weren't too many of us that day and I was quickly approved Deferred Disposition, paid my court fees and was out the door within an hour. Very painless. I'm only taking one star off because as previously mentioned, they only have court on Thursdays, starting at 3pm. It can be a little inconvenient to work around that schedule. But overall, the experience was a lot better than expected.

No one we attempted contacting was available to come to our rescue. We had been walking for about an hour, along 1431, hoping someone would see us and stop to help. Some parts of the path we had to take, had barely any shoulder to walk on. Cars were frighteningly close when they passed by us. Mosquitos were feasting on us. I was wearing hard, high heels . My hip joints were aching. You don't realize, when driving, just how steep our hills are here, until you have to walk them. Holy cow! Officer Sanchez pulled onto the shoulder, with light flashing. She asked for our I. d. 's and said "hello" to our dog, who wasn't inhibited at all about showing how happy she was to see her. Plus she didn't mind putting our furry girl into her nice, shiney, black, new police SUV, along side us, for a ride all the way home. She friendly chatted with us, smiling and laughing and sharing opinions about artificial intelligence, among other things. She was kind and respectful to us, from the moment she approached us, until we parted . Thank you officer Sanchez. You're GREAT!

Normally don't write these, but after reading the review by the fellow that apparently doesn't like getting caught when he's speeding, I was compelled to stick up for this department. A speed trap is not a police car parked behind a billboard, waiting for you to drive by to clock…read moreyou going too fast. Because if the speed limit is clearly posted, then whether you saw the cop or not when you were speeding doesn't matter. A speed trap would be an officer putting something in front of the lower speed limit sign which would lower your speed from 45 to 30 and then stop you because you did not lower your speed. You tell the officer you did not see a lower limit sign. Officer says "tough" and writes you a ticket anyway because he "knows the sign is there". You go back looking for the sign and he shows you where it is, but you cannot see it until you move the tree branch which is hiding the actual speed. Complaining that G'town officers are Horrible and unlawful because you did not see them ahead of time is too bad. I guess you want them to stop at the edge of the highway with their lights flashing so you will have time to slow down. That would be too dangerous. If the speed limit shows 45, the limit is 45 whether an officer is present or not. If you are going 65 because you do not see any police does not mean you are not speeding.

As soon as you enter the city you feel the eyes of the law on you. Ready to pull you over for going 3 or 4 miles over the speed limit. Which is very sad because the city of Lakeway is a wonderful place filled with great people. Too bad it's ruled by an oppressive government. The Lakeway government has created a "this is Lakeway" mentality to strike fear in the people who live and visit here. In fact the mayor kept repeating this when I met him at a house I built in Lakeway. All I wanted was clarification as to why my certificate of occupancy was denied. He could not give me a precise reason and just kept saying "this is Lakeway". Instead of being helpful and acknowledging the fact that their building codes enforcement office is overwhelmed and understaffed they have made it almost impossible to build in Lakeway. I really think they do this to discourage people from building there. They change their interpretation of the codes constantly and their office is so unorganized and mismanaged it's pathetic. Again the residents and the city it's self are beautiful but right now the government offices are a mess. I suggest buying an existing home and setting your cruse control to 30 mph lol
