I've used this business in the past and they've always done a good job. Today they really came through on short notice. We had strong straight line winds in Austin due to being downstream from hurricane Harvey. We had and old cedar tree break at the base and fall on top of our jeep and in the process endanger our fence. The guys from LTS removed the tree without causing damage to the jeep or to the fence. I posted pics for reference. They also took away the tree, and blew off the driveway. Took them less than 10 minutes. I could have done it myself, killed 4 hours, potentially damaged my jeep or fence and still had a tree disposal issue. read more

Steven from Lakeway Tree Experts came out last fall to give me an estimate for having my live oaks trimmed. The estimate was so reasonable it was hard for me to even believe that they would do that much work for such a great price! Fast forward to this week when we had set the date for the work. The day before I called them because I was thinking that since it had been so long since we set the date they wouldn't show! Arlen, the owner called me back the night before & said they would be there the next day as scheduled. Not only were they there on time, but they were 20 minutes early! That never happens! Steven walked the property with me to make sure we were in agreement as to what was to be done. When he left & went on to another job he left Jimmy in charge and he was great too! They had a crew of 4 guys who knocked the work out in less than a day. All of the guys were very courteous and conscientious. They picked up and disposed of all the branches etc. My yard and trees looked so good when they left! I will be calling them them next year for sure! read more

The Homeowners Association near Lake Travis contracted Lakeway Tree Experts to trim all the trees in the common areas which included the front yards of homes. The community has 105 homes and there was only one incident where a brace was knocked over that had previously been installed to help save a tree that had been blown over in a storm. Arlen met with the owner and resolved the issue. Multiple compliments were received on the job done and how good the community looked following the service. Not impressed at all. To begin with, I had a hard time getting Arlen or the company to call me back. Once I met with Arlen, I really liked him as the company I had been using was over priced...or so I thought. Arlen gave me a quote which I thought was cheaper than the other company, but when I went back and looked, it was actually between $50-$100 more. They came out promptly but the job took them longer than expected. Consequently, they didn't do everything they said they would do, and Arlen never bothered to check back with me about the job. When I contacted him through text, he wanted to let me know that the job cost him money. He did not really care if I was satisfied or not. I would certainly NOT recommend them to anyone! read more

If you like rude people who schedule two to three weeks out and then cancel the morning of the work, then go ahead and hire them. For my money, will never use them again. The excuse was one of their guys had car trouble- seriously, a tree company who has only one car? That did not sound plausible to me and when I told them that, they told me I was rude to their guys- never talked to their guys and refused to come to do the job...but the man (not Arlen) who called me was definitely rude- customer service is non-existent and I was a repeat customer-the owner had a women call me to cancel. We are more than pleased. We always like companies that "under promise" and "over deliver" and Lakeway Tree Experts did that indeed. We needed a sizeable oak tree removed. They were prompt, efficient, fast and did a GREAT job of cleanup. I was expecting to have to spend time after they left to pickup small branches/leaves/etc., but there was nothing for me to do. He sounded very knowledgeable and experienced, so I decided to employ his company, Lakeway Tree Experts (who are one of only three certified oak-wilt vendors in Austin), instead of the other two that I had contacted.
