Martin and his crew arrived on time, were friendly and professional, and took extra care around my landscaping and pergola. They checked in with me several times during the job to make sure everything looked the way I wanted. Every cut was sealed, they chipped all the branches onsite, and they left the yard clean when they finished. The trees look great, and the price was the best quote I received. Pablo came on the day we scheduled, did a few tasks here and there with his assistant and promised that he would come back the next day to "finish the rest of the work." I decided to put my trust in Pablo and pay him the full amount $250. The next day, I waited for him to come, but ended up telling me that he had to schedule...Cut to 2 weeks later, and he's rescheduled the "completion of the task" over and over, to the point where I'm not sure what exactly he did in his first day of work. I gave him every opportunity to at least send me a text message giving me an update or a reason on why he's not responding for multiple weeks with a CLEAR answer on what exactly he still needs to complete. Crickets. Long story short, he ended up completely ghosting me for no reason...I'm not an unreasonable person by any means, if you don't want to complete the service, give me a heads up of what you did complete and what was left and I can at least get someone else. Eventually, I just gave up. I had to call TWO other Certified Arborist companies to tell me that Pablo didn't complete his work and there was still significant work to be done. Another $250 down the drain. All of this could've been avoided had Pablo simply texted me back a simple response: "Hey sorry I wasn't able to get to that. I have a busy schedule, but I recommend you find someone else to complete this this and this." but instead he for some reason just likes pushing things off, not showing up, and ghosting you out of the blue for no reason. Overall, I agree with the comments that Pablo is RUDE and is not good at communicating with CUSTOMERS. He's just simply not Professional in the most bizarre kind of way. Like seriously, does it take so much effort to send a text message to a customer that you didn't complete the task you promised to complete AFTER he's paid? Overall, Pablo is a strange man and I don't recommend his service in any capacity. Go with Beny's Tree Service - they've got a great Certified Arborist at very reasonable rates (and honestly better reviews overall). I have nothing but positive things to say about Beny's and nothing but terrible experience to say about Pablo, who apparently is Board Certified and touts his accolades, even though his professionalism is just not there.

Both parties discuss job scope of work in detail, Walter quotes job requiring a 50% down payment, the customer pays 50% down and schedules the date, the day before job Walter returns and argues that the agreed scope of work will be double the agreed amount (price increase based on no SOW change), customer no longer agrees (other much cheaper quotes for the same SOW so I cannot agree to this contactor price increase), Walter refuses to refund the 50% down payment saying that it is a "customer cancellation". In reality, it was extortion. Walter has still never refunded my money in full. This is pure contractor theft. Don't trust this company...

I received a quote based upon the design I was seeking for my front yard. Throughout the design process, I worked together with 5-0 landscaping on all modifications to the design. At no point during the process were changes and or modifications made without both the business and I agreeing to them. I have been wanting to get my side yard done for years as my the side of the lawn I share with the neighbor was rather run down looking. This is because I share a side lawn with a neighbor who refuses to maintain his part of the lawn nor install rain gutters on his property. The lack of maintenance and gutters causes the water to pool between our properties causing soil erosion and drainage issues making it impossible for anything to grown in the area except for weeds. After a few years of saving, I was able to afford to do this much needed project. 5-0 excavated all the weeds from the front side lawn and removed the dead shrub that was in front of the electrical box from the ball/root to ensure that it never grew back. In return, black river rock and off-white pavers were put in its place. I am more than happy with the level of service and end product I received.
