The owner of this market makes all her customers feel bad they don't bring their own bags in. In the state NJ bagging is of the discretion of the owners. Paper bags or any bags are given out all all establishments except Walmart and this lady. If owners appreciate their customers bags should be given, and not make it inconvenient for customers. Such BS and non appreciation for the customer. This owner lady has a real bitch attitude anyway. I will stay away from this disrespectful attitude in this flea bag market!! I have to say that the produce is very good at Cedar Post market. It's all fresh and there's a good variety. Unfortunately, the cashier who is usually there is really quite rude. I've seen her complain to customers multiple times. I actually feel a little nervous checking out. Wondering if I or someone else will take the brunt of her bad attitude. It's a shame. I have been going to the Cedar Post for several years now. They have delicious fresh fruits and fresh vegetables. Their flowers and plants are vibrant and beautiful.. They also have various garden ornaments. They also have a local artist who hand paints all sizes of river rocks, slabs of slate and seashells. Look for the display while you are shopping there. They also have bakery items, fresh honey and various condiments and fresh seafood. I recommend you stop by, you will not be disappointed. read more

July 20, 2020 Most workers refusing to wear masks using the medical exemption as a reason. No face shields. Rude manager/owner. Many elderly customers put at risk by their refusal to wear PPE while they are handling food and helping customers. Last trip there for us. Grapes not fresh, tomatoes not so good. It's too bad, we were good customers. Back to Brick for us. read more

Fruit was okay - some fresh and some turning. Good selection though. Unfortunately, the people that work here were not particularly friendly. They even seemed a little unhappy. Peaches and Nectarines were $2/lb. Watermelon was $7. I would buy here again, but would travel past if I had more time to go to another place with people that were more friendly. read more

We've been shopping here for YEARS. It's very simple.... they have the BEST fruits and Veggies in Ocean County. Always fresh, delicious....locally grown and priced right. And the flowers, bushes and plants are plentiful! The owners are an absolute pleasure & always so friendly. They are HARD WORKING and the staff is as well....plus they are ALL helpful and pleasant...even with hot masks in 99 degree weather!! I am very disappointed in the Cedar Post this year. The vegetables are going bad within a day. The plants are turning and quite frankly, I don't need to hear about how the owner can't stand rude customers that interrupt her while she is putting together and order. I've never been so disappointed in a businessman in my life. The owner's son screamed at my niece for touching a wrapped piece of watermelon. He embarrassed himself, his family business and has negated any future purchases by me, my family and friends in the future. Customer service is clearly not important to this vendor and I assure you that I'll make it a point to let everyone in the world know how awful they treated my niece and her mother. When I observed an employee handling food without mask, shield or gloves, I asked if if had a mask. He screamed at me, and stepped closer, screaming in my face. He shouted angrily that people like me are not allowed at his family business he told me to get out. I did and will not go back. Best market in the area that we've found! Child-friendly, they don't mind a toddler learning about veggies & helping to fill his basket & pull it around, we really enjoy this spot! And just learned they have fresh eggs! Cheeses, mushrooms, herb plants, & the employees are also very friendly! It's the only place we shop for veggies anymore! If we did more landscaping, we'd probably buy from there also! read more

I purchased over $200 worth of shrubs and specifically asked if they were deer resistant. I was told by someone who said they were the owner that they were deer resistant. When I brought back the deer eaten shrubs a couple of days later I was told tough luck in so many not so kind words. read more
