Love this place! I'm a big blueberry fan so for the past few years have been making the drive to Emery's from North Jersey to pick my own. The entry fee is a reasonable $4 per person, and they shuttle you over to the ripe berry bushes via golf cart, at least on the weekdays when I've been there. (I suspect this may be a way to keep people from just wandering to other areas, but the Emery's folks are just so plain nice that you can't refuse to take their offer of a ride.) The driver also makes sweeps through the picking area from time to time to pick you back up once you've finished harvesting and ready for weigh-in. Blueberries are $3/pound. The farm store has a nice assortment of baked goods and jams, plus my favorite post-picking treat: blueberry ice cream pops dipped in Belgian chocolate. read more

Nice assortment of pies, the ones we've sampled have been excellent. Picked up some of their pumpkin ice cream in the freezer also, it compliments the flavors of the pies well. Short review, but really not much more to say. We'll definitely be back for more pie. read more

Cute store. Greta pies etc. but my most recent visit, the store had an OVERWHELMING smell of toxic scented cleaner. So much so that the cookie I got has traces of it. The Saran Wrap around it straight smelled like it and it kinda tasted like it as well. Very gross. Hopefully they fix that problem. Always a good find at Emerys. I've been going for over 20 years and the favorites never disappoint! My holiday sweet potato pie is the family favorite and limited for holidays only. They are hard to get if you are not early. They keep you updated on Facebook, because they don't answer the phone often. I picked up the frozen sweet potato cause you can keep them frozen for three months, and my fav.. coconut custard! This one isn't making it for the holiday serving. They have apple, apple caramel, crumb cales, every berry pie, pecan, pumpkin, pastries, and more. Shelves are filled with butter sauces and jams, the new butter rum muffin has me feeling like a real greedy gal. They have a mini pumpkin pie for $9.00, good idea to try. The full size pies are generally starting at $17.00. I had to try it the little one since i haven't tried the pumpkin before, and never wanted to try it at a full pie size or price. Bought two pies, two muffins and a bag of apple cider donuts. All mediocre but the worst part was that the pumpkin pie wasn't even cooked. I scooped out all of the pumpkin pie filling to bake or do something with later because I hate waste. The bottom of the pie crust was completely raw. read more

Wow, I've been hitting the farms lately. Why not? They're outside, weather is nice and the people are really friendly. You have to check out their bakery. The baked items are very fresh and delicious, especially the blueberry muffins. There are goats, sheep and donkeys to feed, great for the kids and adults wishing they were. Outhouse on premises. Been going to Emery's for the last 15 years. Bought a Trifecta pie for this year's Christmas dinner. It was almost inedible.. . Overcooked and hardly any filling.....very disappointing. Local, fresh and delicious! Not your typical farm stand. They offer so many delicious baked goods, jellies, jams etc. we stopped on the way home from the beach to grab a trifecta pie. So glad we did! Pie had such a good crust and delicious filling. We'll certainly be back to try even more! You can also visit the farm to pick your own berries * visited during covid, so we could not go inside however there was a menu and plenty outside to pick from. My husband and I took our grandson to see the animals at Emery's and to our dismay, the mini donkey was in horrific condition, her hooves were completely overgrown and her halter had completely rubbed the hair off her nose. When I questioned the staff about who is responsible for taking care of the animals, two staff members immediately became nasty and defensive to me, stating the farrier was coming soon. This poor donkey was way over a regular trim, we're talking maybe a year or more. The two nasty staff stopped talking to me, thank God, and one nice staff member listened to what I had to say which was most appreciated. I informed the staff member I would be back to check on the donkey and if she didn't look better, I would be filing a complaint. It's so heartbreaking and shameful to see such neglect of an adorable animal. My family and I will only visit this establishment to check on the animals. read more

Don't buy the Apple cider donuts! Worst I've tasted at $6 a bag. Dry (stale?) and tasteless. The Apple turnovers were very good. Thank goodness I didn't waste all my money. Entrance fee for blueberry picking is $4 each and berries $4 a lb. To take my grandkids, 3 and 5 yrs old, it will cost me $20 a lb ! Ugh. Goats are cute and Free! Me and my wife came by a few days prior and purchased roughly 70 dollars worth of product. Prices were quite high, but we like to get a wide variety of items for our first trip to a new place to see if we like it. We are definitely big foodies and try everything. We were dissatisfied with one of the products and brought it back to kindly ask for an exchange. We were back to buy multiple things but wanted to exchange the one thing we did not like. The larger, older woman approached us after a younger employee told us she handles returns/exchanged. She started the encounter with "what's the problem?!" In a rude condescending tone. We explained what was wrong with the item. Tasted old, stale, and way too spicy. She replied with "well yeah that's what fire roasted means. Your stuck with it. See right here, it says FIRE ROASTED." Me and my wife were in shock that a woman who owns a business that deals with the public has absolutely zero social or business etiquette. For one you can fire roast a marshmallow or practically anything. And the marshmallows I've had certainly aren't spicy. So mislabeling an item and not even offering a simple ounce of compassion or God forbid a solution just seems out of her capacity as a "human being". I use that term VERY loosely. Emery's farm is a cute and quaint little location. But the prices far exceed what the products are worth. And the utter disrespect from staff is truly shocking and disgusting. Please do not support a business who does not value your time, money and loyalty as a customer. read more

Stopped over today and somehow I restrained myself and only got a couple bakery items! The oatmeal raisin cookie is delicious; the perfect softness and chewiness combination. The coffee cake muffin is so moist and yummy. And I did get a couple sugar pumpkins too for a great price. Highly recommend this local gem. read more

This is my rare 5 star review based on one visit. This small, local shop came recommended for its pies. I love good pie so we detoured on our way home and I'm glad we did. Hefting the pie boxes told me that there's a lot of fruit inside. We tried the triple treat pie and sampled it when we got home. Two big slices with whipped cream and tea made us smile. We absolutely adore this hidden gem. The staff is SO sweet. From the pies, seasonal ice cream sandwiches, every little thing we've gotten is amazing! Absolutely, beyond a doubt, and without hesitation my recommendation is to go here and pick up a pie then go home and indulge - you will be in pie heaven. They have many to choose from but keep in mind that Emery Farms is one of the largest if not the largest organic blueberry farms in the state of New Jersey. Our first pie was of course blueberry and It tasted like no other we have ever eaten, in a league of its own and served warm with organic Stonyfield Farms vanilla ice cream - OMG... Well worth the trip. We plan to go again soon and sample a tri-fecta (three mixed berries), can't wait. Keep in mind that they are closed from December 24 through April 1 of the following year - so get there soon. read more
