But, the staff worked with my fiancé and his family all the way up to the actual proposal. The staff did a great job playing along (I had no idea my fiancé had planned this)! Once we got towards the end of the trail ride, the trail guide directed us to a nearby field, got me off my horse and distracted me with taking my photo with my adorable horse June, when I turned around-there he was down on one knee. The staff helped make this a day I will remember for the rest of my life & I will be thinking about them on our big day!

For a first timer, they did an excellent job explaining the safety equipment, as well as the capabilities of the zip lines themselves. Our guides took us out into the forest and got us clipped into the first lines and away we went. The thrill of flying through the tree tops had us all beaming with excitement. 5 lines in total, all at varying heights and distances sent smiles to all our faces. I know I was sad for the ~hour long experience to be over. We will be back if we have the opportunity!!!

I grew up showing and riding horses daily. I loved this!!! Usually I'm bored to death on rental horses. Not on this ride! I never felt unsafe but i definitely wasn't bored. The horses are extremely well trained but having the faster walk of a gaited horse and the stunning scenery around the lake, all made this ride great. I will definitely be bringing friends, family and clients back out here. Great experience!!

The focus is on horsemanship and not just throwing you on a horse. They ask your goals and help you work towards them. Do you want to be a better rider? Do you want to work towards owning your own horse and being able to care for them? Do you want to learn how to train the horse you have to be a safe partner through natural horsemanship? Previously i ran into people who were very skilled with horses but either were not or did not even want to be teachers. They seemed like they were just instructing to help pay for their own: riding , roping or horse training careers. The instructors at crossroads love teaching just as much as they love horses. You will never feel intimidated. They will push you but never to a place where you feel unsafe. Still not sure then just stop bye and ask to meet Shire!
