The facility is HUGE with a ton of rope climbing options for belaying as well as the auto belays that don't require a partner. They also have a smaller bouldering section that was pretty difficult.

This is a cool spot in West Nashville for climbers of all levels! My husband and I recently signed…read moreup for monthly memberships, and we've loved stopping in for a climb a few times a week. Bonus - there's lots of free parking nearby! If you're a beginner (or even if you're an experienced climber in need of a refresh), there's plenty of instruction time during your first official visit. A team member will walk you through the ins and outs of climbing - from how to clip in with a carabiner to how to safely belay for a partner. There are plenty of auto-belays available on the second floor if you're climbing solo, and several traditional top rope courses on the first floor if you have a climbing partner. This facility even offers fitness and yoga classes as another membership perk. Climb is a very family-friendly establishment, and it's great to see so many young kids excited about climbing. Some of these kids are even better climbers than experienced adults! That said, I would love to see an adults-only night every so often ... even once a month would be great. The gym can get pretty busy during peak times, so you may have to wait a bit for the route you'd like to climb. It's unclear how often they change up the routes, but there's also something to be said about taking another stab at a familiar route and trying to improve your climb. So far our interactions with the staff have been helpful and friendly, and they even offer discounts for members looking to buy their own gear!

Climb west Nashville is a massive step up in layout space and design. And Murfreesboro location is by far the best Stairs located in the middle "hangout area" very overcrowded, mats only 6 or so feet from the walls, which puts everyone watching on the edges of the mats and center of the gym with no room to walk anywhere. Holds are the worst I've experienced in gym climbing, many of the holds are loose, and it seems like there are way too many routes set to perhaps make up for the fact that there isn't a lot of wall to work with, but the route setters must be high, arrows pointing in wrong directions with no clear start holds identified on most v2-v5 routes. Lastly the largest section of the climbing area is the cave, which nobody seems to use or at least is under utilized, just go to Murfreesboro or West. Seems like they need a max capacity or a website to book times on to free up some space, also they need to have some route setters from a different location to come to the rescue. Overall super friendly climbers and staff!

Apparently you have to go online to do it but that was not communicated as it should've been. There was then months of accruing charges after that. Fast forward a few months and it became a whole annoying to do contacting people all the way up to the GM to get my account back in good order so I could climb again.

Online booking mentions that it is a 2.5hr experience but with a smaller group of 8, it only took 1.5hr for all the zip lines. Overall a very fun experience and great with big groups! The Bad: Do not get the picture package!! The picture is taken at a standing platform after one of the zip lines, not an action shot!! The Ugly: It felt a little sketchy going down the barren hallway. It was a 5 min walk that felt like you were going through an industrial hallway and it just felt out of place to keep going if the signs were not there. On to my next adventure....

It's a ropes course, and the course is pretty small, and you're not really going into the cavern, which is a bummer. They do have a separate zipline tour, which is maybe more adventurous, but I wouldn't know because we didn't do that one. The ropes course is for ages 5 and older. Louisville Mega Cavern also offers a walking cavern tour and a tram tour, plus a drive-through Christmas lights display around the holidays. Be sure to book your activities in advance! This place is very popular and gets very busy. One thing to note is that outside food and drink are supposedly not allowed. (Oops, my bad. I didn't find that out until I had finished my tasty little tuna-and-crackers snack.) They also have lockers to put your things in if you don't have someone hanging back at the tables to hold your stuff.

I have been posting and promoting Team Green Adventures events to the Yelp events section for the last 4 months and appreciate this organization more and more each month. There is literally something for everybody who has any interest in jumping off the couch and being active. From free sand volleyball games and weekly discounted group rock-climbing meets to East Nasty's running group and weekend adventure trips, there is always something on their comprehensive calendar of events! I was originally tempted to join when Yelp partnered up with TG during our January Elite Event at Climb Nashville but with the Earth Day promotion going on now that discounts the membership from $50 to just $10 through the end of April. Let's be honest though... $50 for a yearly membership isn't something to cry about either. If you plan to be more active especially during the gorgeous Spring and Summer months, maybe this tiny investment can help guide the way?

Team Green, affiliated with local radio station Lightning 100 (which everyone should be listening to!) promotes an active healthy lifestyle while learning about and supporting your Nashville community. For an extremely low price ($35 for the year) you can join TG and take advantage of discounts around town as well as an action-packed events calendar with things like rock climbing, hiking, ropes courses (I did one of these, wow it was awesome), bike rides, and day trips for camping as well as volunteer opportunities throughout Nashville. You have the chance to win prizes as a member like concert tickets and there are discounts offered at local stores. They participate in local events like Earth Day and the Dragon Boat races. This is a great group for anyone, of all ages, backgrounds, work schedules, etc. This isn't a singles group or a married people group or a only-go-with-people-you-know group...this is Nashville at its finest, people out to experience and explore and help their community and be active within it. I am so happy to be part of such a great group of friendly like-minded people. If you live here, you should be a part of Team Green, plain and simple.
