While they try to work with insurances, they draw a hard line at using amalgams and only use composite resins. Since my insurance does not cover the latter, my family is potentially "on the hook" for the difference (BTW, they have generally only billed up to the amount allowed for the amalgam).

I was assured that they were. However, after our visits, we received a bill for more than $300 for services that we believed would be covered by insurance. When I contacted the billing department multiple times to resolve the issue, I was told that the office charges more than what my insurance allows for a cleaning. Had this been explained upfront, I could have made a more informed decision about receiving care there. I was also disappointed with how the billing situation was handled. Despite repeated attempts to discuss the matter, no meaningful resolution was offered. We even received a past-due notice before ever receiving a proper statement outlining the charges. The clinical experience itself was not particularly positive. The hygienist was chewing gum during the appointment and was not especially gentle. My son was given fluoride treatment without anyone discussing it with me beforehand or asking for permission. The office environment also felt dated and less welcoming than other dental practices we have visited locally. Overall, between the unexpected charges, lack of communication regarding costs, billing frustrations, and the quality of the patient experience, this was not a positive experience for our family. I would encourage anyone considering this office to carefully verify all costs in writing before receiving treatment.

We were greeted and given a tour of the office by the lovely front desk personnel, she even gave my kiddos welcome bags with goodies! When we were called back to be seen by the amazing Miss Alicia, she took great care of us! Miss Alicia was awesome at making us feel comfortable and she focused on providing excellent dental hygiene care for both my children (age 8 and 11). Dr. Peiffer comes with 17 years of experience which was another source of confidence that I was in great hands and had chosen the right dentist office for my family! His receptionists and hygienists are kind, gentle, and friendly. They eased me back into cleanings and helped me overcome my fear of the dentist. Although the dentist still isn't "fun", they make it completely tolerable. They offer me a warm neck pillow, a paraffin wax, and choice of TV channel to watch. They even offer to clean your jewelry! They hook me up with nitris and clean my teeth while I'm distracted by the food network. It's almost relaxing! I didn't know you had a choice. My dental hygienist Sheila was so sweet to make sure I wasn't in pain and even had me laughing by the time I was walking out. No need for the laughing gas here!
