I injured my foot and waited until the pain was an issue before seeking care. I changed my insurance as of June 1 and without a primary care doctor, I opted to go to Cedar Sinai urgent care. I went online to save a spot - which clearly states you could be bumped if there is someone with a more urgent need - and arrived a few minutes earlier than the appointment. My insurance wasn't showing up as active in the system but I needed to get my foot checked out so asked what it would cost. The woman at registration gave me an estimate and said if they bill my insurance and I have to pay, the bill would be 40% less. I was in a chair awaiting the doctor within 15 minutes. I saw the doctor within 45, had my xray within 90 minutes and was diagnosed - the foot is broken - with two hours. I was given a referral to a specialist and offered validation for my parking. Everyone was kind, compassionate and efficient throughout the entire process. If you live in the West Hollywood/Beverly Hills area, and need help between noon and nine p.m., this is an excellent resource! read more

It took me 7 hours to get out of there for an animal bite/ Rabies shot. Not to mention the nurse, Kelli, was making fun of my animal bite to her coworkers calling it a "vampire bite" a "werewolf" bite and making other very degrading comments about while I was just a few feet away. When you are in the hospital you are very vulnerable. Kelli also forgot my blanket for hours and I felt like I was an intrusion for her the entire time. She was okay in the sense that she got the job done and while taking care of me it was fine, but the warmth just wasn't there in a situation where it needed to be. read more

***Closer to 3.5 stars*** I know 2 people who have vastly different experiences here in the past so I may update this after another experience. I also came in on a Sunday; a member of staff mentioned that things run a bit differently on the weekends. I took the elevator right at 9 am (won't let you otherwise) and when I got to reception there were already 3 in front of me, and 10 more came in after I did. This location takes walk ins and I think you can "save a spot" but only during open hours. The check-in process was fairly efficient, though this may have been because I was already in the Cedars system. To my surprise, the Med Assistant (Oscar) called my name before I could even settle in my seat after check in! Vitals were taken soon after and doctor was in after a few minutes! Worst emergency experience I've ever had at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills. We were at ER with my mom from 10 PM until 1 AM, and many patients were waiting 3-4 hours just to be seen. It was obvious they were severely understaffed and dealing with a shortage of doctors and healthcare workers. People who looked genuinely sick were left sitting in the waiting room for hours. Cedars is such an esteemed hospital, its doctors are some of the best in the country. So why do they accept this level of urgent care? After a wait in the waiting area, they kept me waiting a full hour after they put me in an exam room. Yes 60 minutes. I stepped out a couple times but could not find anyone. They later told me a procedure had been going on. So why did they put me in a room? I actually had made an appointment -- which they should not have scheduled. The nurse/assistant swabbed my throat when I got to the exam room but "forgot" to take an obvious second swab, which confounded the doctor when she finally came in. That nurse was also incredibly rude and stressed out. Absolutely no warmth; she should find another profession. The doctor didn't do much; she was ok. Have been to Cedars-Sinai Urgent Care in Beverly Hills and Culver City - much prefer their BH location! This one is by far larger compared to Culver City one. But way more organized. I had an appointment at the Culver City location with 5 customers before previously and waited for more than 2 hours to be seen. Very hesitant to go to their Culver location again, I decided to go to this location for my new injury (I am a very physically active person getting injured in many sports). I was seen within 1 hour after checking in without an appointment at this location. The staff was also nicer and more knowledgeable as compared to the small location in Culver City. The medical advice I was given here was also very so detailed and compassionate, which I much appreciated. I have been to urgent care not ran by Cedars, but I think this would be my go-to urgent care for their much knowledgeable staff and well-prepared facility (in case I get injured again for some reasons). read more

Have been going to Cathi Nicklas, the most wonderful Nurse Practitioner, for years. She is hands down the most responsive and caring medical professional I've had the privilege of working with. HOWEVER - management and admin are awful. Just started a new job and needed to get an appointment before insurance is processed and have spent the day being referred to/transferred to multiple departments - billing, quotes, etc. as I try to estimate how much a visit will cost out of pocket. Just spent the entire afternoon at Cedars Sinai Urgent Care--5 hours! I found that Dr. Jung gave me substandard care, while he conversely was attentive to the needs of my 17 year old daughter. She and I presented with nearly identical symptoms. He prescribed two medications for her; but for me, he prescribed nothing. He refused to write a sick note for more than three days, only enough time to get back the throat culture. So, I said you're saying I should go back to work in 3 days? "No," but his hands are tied because they are only an urgent care. I now realize the huge drawback of Urgent Care is the lack of continuity of care. Dr. Jung had treated my eldest two weeks prior for Covid and Diphtheria, and I let him know I had gotten sick from her the next day. I had specifically requested Dr. Jung, thinking he was already aware of the illnesses in our home present and would be best suited to treat us. This was a lesson that cost me my whole afternoon and my $40 copay. Next time, I'll stick with my regular doctors. read more

Waited about an hour to see a nurse practitioner "Melissa" Tanya, the nurse forgot to bring water so I can pee in a cup. I was asked to get undressed and put on a gown and was forgotten for over 2 hours. I walked out, i paid the copay and even parking since they only validate for 2 hours. Absolute con job. I reserved a slot, arrived on time and was informed about a 2.5 hour wait with 17 people in front of me (most of them stacked up in exam rooms languishing), and only 1 doctor on duty. They close at 6pm on weekends so with 17 people ahead of me and 1 doctor (and 2 who were out at lunch at the same time-who schedules critical workers like this??) even with cursory industry standard of 8-10 minutes per patient, the wait woukd be even longer. I should have asked about the wait before handing over my credit card which they were very eager to charge. I asked if I could drive home and return closer to my actual time. "We don't call patients-if you leave you lose your place in line." I got a refund on my credit card and left. I called Mend in San Fernando Valley with a 1hour wait. Faster to drive to Sherman Oaks! I drove to Sherman Oaks (27 minutes), got in a room in 30 minutes, and was seen 20 minutes later. All done, drove to the drugstore and was on the in less time than the 2.5 hour wait at Cedars. This city is full of options-seek them out and consider driving a bit further to avoid an insane wait time. No service is worth a 2.5 hour wait. As you can maybe see from my recent Yelp reviews, I was vaccinated, boosted, and freely dining indoors as recently as two weeks ago. In the time since, omicron has been spreading promiscuously across Los Angeles. My number came up on December 19, when I received my first positive rapid result after two days of mild sore throat and negative tests. (Almost 100% sure I got it at a restaurant, but the virus really is everywhere.) I didn't know as much about omicron then, so I was confused and skeptical of the result and called Cedars Urgent Care. They said I could come in for a PCR test, which I now realize I also could've done at a testing center (my husband and son--both still COVID-free!--went to an expensive place where you can get results in an hour). I was worried the urgent care would be mobbed, but parking was easy (and free with validation) and the lobby was pretty quiet on a Sunday morning. I filled out a few quick forms and got into an exam room within like ten minutes. Everyone I dealt with, from front desk staff to nurses and doctor, was warm and professional. I talked to a nurse, who swabbed my nose, and a doctor, who checked my vitals, asked me questions, and answered mine. Thankfully, my symptoms were deemed mild, just like a regular cold, and I went home to my empty house (husband and baby went to my parents') to await my result the next day. It came after 24 hours, an unambiguous positive. I called the urgent care to figure out what to do, and when they put me on hold, I realized one of my best friends is literally a Cedars urgent care doctor in a different office, so I called her instead. She answered my questions (I wasn't eligible for further treatment due to my age and the mildness of my symptoms) and gave me excellent advice. While I'd been kind of hoping she'd say, "oh, 10 days of quarantine is super conservative, you can totally spend Christmas with your 20-month-old kid," she told me I should wait out the whole period. I tested positive until Christmas Day, when I finally received a clean rapid. I'm recovered and joyfully reunited with my family now, and am grateful to Cedars Urgent Care for their kindness and availability when I was sick and freaked out. I hope I don't have to go back anytime soon, but am happy to know it's there for us if we need urgent medical care. This is the most unprofessional place I have ever been to. Took my mother after she fell and hurt her head, nose and knee. Made an appointment 3 hours in advance. Dr. KUMAR came in the waiting room to tell her she is okay and to go to emergency. He did not clean her bloody face, did not take her in the back to examine her, didn't even take her vitals and sent her on her way. Her face was as covered with blood and he said she may need stitches. Dr. came in and didn't examine my nose just said she was prescribing nose spray but didn't call it in . I had to call twice to get it called in. I was seen by Dr. Selina S Patel Vail and this was the worst experience ever. I rarely go to doctors office, ER and this was my first time at a Urgent Care for the 8 yrs I've been in LA. I only go to see a primary doctor when I know something is really wrong. I've had clear symptoms of a bacterial sinus infection. I work at the main cedars hospital and was recommended by the nurses and one of the doctors I was talking to for a visit to urgent care because everyday my symptoms were getting worse and they were so sure I had sinus infection. I went in and was shocked she was first suspecting Covid when I got a pcr test a weeks ago and 2 antigen test 1 day prior. After the nurse does another Covid test she quickly runs to look at my ears and my nose and mouth.. after she catches her breath from the jogging She then tells me I have a cold.. she prescribed me cough medicine and nasal spray along with 3 pieces of Tylenol. I went to work the next day and they sent me home because my condition worsened and I almost passed out. They told me There's no way I can take care of patient in that condition. 3 days later, as much as I tried to believe the doc with the cold diagnosis, I kept getting worse I went to Hollywood urgent care. That doctor took a look at my ear, nose and throat and without me even saying anything he says I have sinus infection. I asked him if I have the viral or bacterial and he said BACTERIAL. He said he's been seeing a lot of it recently because people are starting to go back out. He gave me 2 injections and prescription antibiotics. Just on the first day I was walking around and already feeling back to normal. I'm never going back to this urgent care. When I asked her for antibiotics she told me to ask my primary for those and spend the next 10 min why my diagnosis is a cold. What a joke. read more

Easy, free parking. Great front desk. Pleasant waiting area. My daughter came in for likely food poisoning. They were told of her severe needle phobia.Though I asked for their best phlebotomist, my daughter's IV was inserted by a trainee (She was under another's supervision) -it was a disaster to say the least. The trainee rolled her eyes and of course blamed her inability to insert the IV on rolling veins. Too, the trainee replied condescendingly to my requests. My daughter was given 1 dose of nausea medication and a drink -nothing more. Ultimately, as my daughter was deemed severely dehydrated, she wanted to give the IV another attempt. We were told it was too late ( it was closing) and strongly advised to go to the ER. Shame on you Cedars Urgent Care for putting the training of a new employee over the needs of a patient and giving your employees the option to dismiss a patient after treatment has begun. read more

My doctor ordered lab tests through this urgent care center for 1.) Strep and 2.) Flu/Covid/RSV. The nurse who took my lab tests Tuesday told me that, since the lab is in-house, they would be uploaded into the portal within an hour that day. The Flu/Covid/RSV test results weren't uploaded until the next morning. Today is Friday and the results still haven't been uploaded into the system for my doctor. Nobody that I've called has been able to get into direct contact with the lab or knows why my results haven't been logged. So there is a possibility that I'm going around spreading strep throat.
