I was kept waiting, examined very briefly and was sent a follow-up report with virtually no details and what was there was completely inaccurate. I had to follow up twice for a proper report. My daughter had a sore throat so I brought her to RapidDoc for a throat swab. As we were sitting in the exam room, she had hypotension, likely from her strep throat and passed out and the doctor actually did not know how to handle it. I had to provide basic first aid (putting her feet up, etc) and call an ambulance to safely get her to an ER to get her checked out. The reception staff proceeded to charge me for care as they were loading my daughter in the ambulance, though she did not receive a throat swab or even a complete exam. I am sure if you are just looking for vitamin shots or weight loss medication, this is your clinic. However, if you are considering where to take a sick child, I would absolutely not trust this provider with their care. read more

We came to RapidDoc with our two-year-old daughter who had a bad cold and was experiencing shallow breathing. Given the great reviews and how close it is to our home, we chose this place instead of heading straight to the ER. That was a MISTAKE. We arrived at 8:55 AM, just five minutes before opening. Instead of offering help, the entire staff, including the doctor (Dr. Pouldar), just stood there and stared at us through the window while my wife was holding our clearly sick and distressed daughter in her arms. One of the nurses/receptionists even had the audacity to point at his watch and mouth "9:00" to my wife, refusing to let us in early despite the urgent nature of our visit. It was absolutely heartless and completely inappropriate given the situation. When our daughter was finally able to see the doctor, Dr. Pouldar was visibly shaking while "examining" our daughter. I use the word "examining" lightly. Not exactly confidence-inspiring. He looked her over for maybe a minute, barely asked any questions before abruptly saying, "I'm calling an ambulance to transport her to the ER." That was it. No thorough assessment, no explanation, not context, no attempt at any form of treatment, nothing. Just a rushed handoff to people who are clearly more qualified. My wife at this moment, became terrified and overwhelmed, broke down in tears. I myself was in complete shock and didn't know what to say. We wanted to ask what was happening, but he literally ran out of the room to call the ambulance, the only other time he stepped foot back in the room was when the paramedics arrived, and all he said was, "She's going to be okay." Again, no real comfort, no follow-up, nothing. Within 30 seconds of Dr. Pouldar leaving the room I got a text message that said I had a $100 copay due. I personally think that was in very poor taste, the "doctor" hadn't even been out of the room for 30 seconds and I'm getting a text message to pay the copay. Oh, and here's the real kicker. Dr. Pouldar told us, "Well, she doesn't have an ear infection, which is good." That was completely wrong. When we got to the ER, the first thing the ER doctor said after examining her was: "She has an ear infection in both ears, worse in the right than the left." So not only did this doctor panic and abandon us, but he also gave incorrect medical information. It was at this point we realized that we likely dodged a huge bullet being sent away by the urgent care "doctor". At the end of the day we came here hoping for care, reassurance, and professionalism. Instead, we were met with cold indifference, questionable competence, and zero urgency. I wouldn't trust this place with a scraped knee, let alone a sick child. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

I visited this urgent care with mom who broke her right twist this morning. I have a baby 14 months. Who took x-ray guy was so rude with me and my baby boy. We had an appointment at 10:40am. Doctor show up 11:30am they said wait room number 2. My baby couldn't sit tiny little airless room. He wants to go out. We get hot in room. I tried my best. Then my meter expired wanna extend. We got out from room. X ray guy said you have to wait in your room. We have other patients in other rooms. Your baby girl can't be here. Blah blah... They're not nice not caring... They don't even smile. We paid from pockets over $500 in hour unsatisfied service. They just rush and charge that's it. Don't go there. They don't like babies and kids. They don't care. That employees name was Jonas M I guess... Even who working front not nice too. While check in she just took phone talk with another person. Later we walked in room she didn't check her height and weight just asked from herself and write down and runaway. So disappointed their attitude care quality and office environment. This is, without a doubt, the worst urgent care I have ever been to. The latest issue--on top of everything else--is that even though I paid my deductible at the time of my visit, I keep receiving bills claiming I still owe it. The first time this happened, the front desk assured me they would take care of it. Yet here I am, receiving another bill. When I called back, the front desk staff was completely unhelpful, dismissive, and condescending. Instead of addressing the issue, they told me they don't issue the bills their billing company does and it handles hundreds of clinics (thank you for telling me how a billing company works). Their only "solution" was to tell me to take it up with the billing company myself. So now, after speaking with the billing company, I have to dig up my receipt, email it to them, and basically do their job for them--because Rapid Doc is apparently incapable and too lazy to bill their own billing company correctly or fix the problem. This is absolutely unacceptable. Why should patients be responsible for fixing Rapid Doc's mistakes? read more

Shoutout to Yelp for helping me find this gem place! I was at a friend's house near Melrose and I took a bad fall down the stairs. I called RapidDoc Urgent Care and was told that if I came in right away, I probably would be able to be seen quickly. (It was about 10:30 on a Saturday morning). So I rushed to the urgent care and was seen by Dr. Pouldar within 10 minutes of my arrival. Dr. Pouldar was wonderful--he was kind, thorough, and spent a good amount of time with me, examining me head to toe to ensure that I was all right. The office also had an on-site x-ray, making it simple to diagnose my fracture quickly. The other office staff were very kind, and the facility was clean and modern. I literally have no idea how this clinic has such high ratings. I came in for a urgent care visit because I was very certain I had strep and needed antibiotics. Here is how it went: 1. Dr. Pouldar orders a bunch of tests to check for strep, but also COVID, flu, and EBV. 2. My friend was waiting in the lobby as they drove me here since I felt awful, and they said the gaggle of nurses in the front all seemed to have no idea what was happening. Whenever a test result was done they would all huddle together and be like "ooh" at the results. My friend also said one of the nurses called out another one for administering a test incorrectly but lowered their voice once they saw my friend was watching their insane conversation. 3. Dr. P. comes back and says I have nothing, but offers to write a prescription for a super cheap basic antibiotic in case it is a false positive for strep. 4. Everything is fine, 2 months later though I receive the bill... while I do have a HDHP, it is still a $246 out-of-pocket cost for the outcome of this visit being Dr. P. writing a prescription for $5 of antibiotics that I had to self advocate for. Specifically their pre-insurance billing rates for the visit are $350 for the visit and $250 for the COVID TEST OF ALL THINGS!!!!! 5. I call in asking for reprieve given the insane cost relative to the level of care, the visit outcome, and the incompetence of the nurses and the desk person just ran me around blaming my insurance/employer for having bad insurance offerings, when in reality the problem is this office bills an arm and a leg pre-insurance for nowhere near this level of service. They told me this even though THEY are indeed able to adjust my bill as they are the ones administering the services (or lack thereof) and billing people's insurance in the first place. An absolute joke and I would not recommend them in the slightest for any urgent care visit due to the incredibly poor quality of the service, the nurses having no idea how to perform basic tasks, and the insane costs they bill to insurance (and thus get passed through to the patient). read more

Went in this morning for a busted ankle. I was signed in to their system and taken in for evaluation and X-rays, seen by a doctor and then paid and out the door in under 30 minutes. That on its own is fantastic, but the fact that the entire staff is welcoming, the facility is pristine and well kept and all the equipment is brand new is the cherry on top. I've never felt compelled to review an urgent care facility but here we are. I never thought urgent care could be anything but bad or worse but RapidDoc is actually objectively really great, and I've been to a LOT of urgent cares in LA. The facility itself is state of the art and looked like it even has onsite xray and Dr. Poulard is a doctor, not like most places I've been where you never even see a doctor. Dr. Poulard was so knowledgeable and patient. He explained exactly what he thought was going on, the different steps to figuring out what was wrong, and actually wanted to follow up to get to the bottom of it when there wasn't a clear answer. He spent a lot of time making sure I understood exactly what he was doing. He was also sensitive to how I was feeling and made sure he was prescribing the best things for my condition. At the end of the visit, I got a detailed print out of the visit notes and next steps with information on follow up and my prescriptions. The appointment was easy to make online and I was very quickly seen by the PA and the doctor. There's parking below the building. read more

This place is a gem. I needed an urgent care so my brother suggested this one and I'm so glad he did. First of all, it's the most beautiful medical office I've ever seen, and super clean too. So impressed with my experience here yesterday--on a Sunday! Hurt my foot on Friday & by evening it was swollen & excruciating--could not walk. Tried to wait til Monday to call my Primary Doctor--concerned that it was broken. Found RapidDoc thru online search & called --even tho it was after their closing. An actual human answering service picked up --very helpful--suggested that I book online. Also asked if my insurance was accepted-it was! I could shuffle to an Uber by Sunday & went there @ 11:30A. Warm greeting @ the check in desk--my online paperwork was all ok... Within five minutes we went into a modern back hallway--so clean & fresh looking... We took the usual blood pressure etc... Into one of the nicest exam rooms ever-- A few minutes later-Dr. Pouldar came in-examined my foot--asked how it happened... Into the xray room--tabletop modern machine-- The tech applied a shield across my body & thyroid area (important btw)! Back into the exam rm--five mins later the doctor came in w/ the results--just a sprain. He gave me home care instructions/advice- very kind & reassuring. Few minutes later I was handed paperwork w/ my visit history,instructions etc... The xrays are also sent out to a 3rd party for review-should receive that info today. I can't express how amazing the staff at this urgent care was. After injuring my arm I was frantically looking for an urgent care and stumbled across Rapid Doc. I took my 1.5 year old daughter here for a recent cold as all the other urgent cares in the area were either not open or did not see children. I am a physician myself and was so impressed with the personal, comprehensive and patient care provided by the doctor. Getting a toddler to cooperate is no easy feat but the doctor did just that. I recently sprained my ankle and I needed to go to an urgent care after 9 PM. Rapiddoc recently opened up in my neighborhood, so I went there. There was help with a wheelchair upon arrival. The staff was very attentive. I was disappointed that my insurance wasn't accepted since this is a new business. I have an "EPO". I do not look forward to a visit to urgent care again, but if I have to go to urgent care again, I look forward to RapidDoc being able to accept my insurance in the future. I came in over the weekend because I did not want to go to The E.R. but was having difficulty breathing and I was seen within 15 minutes and was out of there within the hour, I know wait times will always be different however I'm very impressed with everything, the staff are friendly, the entire place from waiting room to private rooms are immaculate. The doctor is thorough and listens to you, I did not feel like he wanted to just send me home with a prescription. The best part is I received a call from the doctor 2 days later checking on me and asked if I had any questions. Facility was good, and they addressed my health needs and offered a good solution. My issue is with the billing experience. I was there for 20 mins and I received a bill for a "45-59 minute" appointment. And they can't even account that for time spent after my appointment because my prescription and everything was sent off before I left the office at the end of those 20 minutes.
