We were in town for a Christian music festival in Isle MN and stopped here on the way home (10 hours away) because of the reviews. Service started a little slow to take the order, but they did just get slammed before we came in today. Once we ordered, it didn't take too long to get our food. The food tasted wonderful! We ordered a bunch of food (and 2 soft drinks) and only paid $40.

-#2 Two Eggs, toast, and hash browns 5/5 -Corn Muffin on the side 3/5 -Hunters Delight, Chicken Fried Steak 5/5 -BLT w/ fries 5/5 -Sliced Turkey on Cranberry bread sandwich5/5 We decided on this place because the reviews were great and we were hungry! We walked around 12:35 and it was busy but not too bad. The booths were a little cramped but comfy. Our Waitress was super nice and very helpful. The food came very timely and hot. The #2 breakfast was very yummy, the hash browns were the bast part and perfectly crispy. The corn muffin however was just weird and not what i was expecting. The hunters delight, had chicken that was done perfect and the gravy was excellent. The BLT has crispy bacon and very fresh veggies. The fries were definitely a favorite among us. The special lunch deal was a shaved turkey sandwich, it had very fresh bread and was just a perfect lunch. I would totally recommend this for a brunch or a family lunch!!

Delicious tender roast beef on my hot beef sandwich with some creamy mashed potatoes and had creamy coke slaw. Got to order a half size so liked that too.

Chicken strips, fries, toast, and coleslaw

We decided to get a couple of bacon cheeseburgers, soup, and chicken strips to go. My boyfriend recalled fond memories of the burgers here from when he was younger and wanted to share the experience with our son and I. There is no uploaded menu so I ordered what I assumed every "cafe" would have on their menu. The reason for the marked off star is for the phoned in to go order. The woman on the other line appeared to be in a hurry and rushed my order and ended the call with "are you done?" I was shocked with their lack of customer service (especially since this was my first experience with Sportsmens!). The order was on time and we didn't need to wait for it. The ketchup packets we received had exploded and were a mess on the outside - kind of gross... The bacon cheeseburgers were absolutely delicious, topped with two soft cooked thick cut bacon, melted American cheese, sautéed onions, and cuddled between a kaiser roll. Fries were mediocre, fresh, soft, unsalted, and could've been in the deep fryer for an additional 5 minutes would've given them a more golden crunch. Wow the chicken strips I ordered for my son were freakin on point! Golden, crisp, juicy, and seasoned perfectly. I was looking forward to having the chicken wild rice soup from a picture I had seen from another fellow Yelper but they didn't have that available on a Saturday. Note they said chicken wild rice is available on Sundays. So I did end up ordering the beef with vegetables (which they forgot to pack in the to go bag and we had to go back in to get it). The beef with veggies was very salty, almost too salty but with a few saltine crackers stirred in was able to balance out the overpowering saltiness of the soup. Overall: Great burgers and chicken strips. Customer service over the phone needs to improve. Also, please upload a menu for non-regulars, this is Mora where hundreds of people travel through every weekend to go up north. I definitely will give this place another try. Seeing that they've been around for such a long time, they must be doing something right!

Breakfast is great. If you like B&G you'll enjoy it. Side a bacon and yum. Wait depends on when you show up.

Good breakfast, your usual diner experience in a small town. Great place to stop if passing through Mora on Hwy 65!

This place was so cute and homey! We stopped for lunch and loved the atmosphere. The menu had a…read morevariety of very savory selections from sandwiches to soups to coffee and sweets! If you're vegan, vegetarian or need GF options, this is a perfect spot for you! The service was very friendly and collaborative - meaning we were offered great hospitality from all of the staff members. There are additional seating in the back of the restaurant and it was quite roomy. We really enjoyed the food and experience! We will definitely come again when in the area! Quick tips: - You order in front and will seat your party once everyone has ordered. This may have caused some bottlenecks in the line but we got there when it wasn't as busy. - Your food items will be delivered to your table. - Their hot chocolate and coffee drinks were so delicious! - Their cookies and treats are also a must try!

Visited Watershed with some friends for dinner. They have a back area for extra space so we were…read moreseated there. They had water already on the table which is a plus! Note that you have to order here before being seated. Not too bad but does put the pressure on to order quickly so you can be seated before others. I went with the turkey melt and upgraded to fries and my partner got a turkey club with a fries upgrade. Together, this meal totaled just over $40 (no extra drink, we got waters). I feel bad giving a low score because of this but I do have to mention that the prices feel much higher than the quality of the food. Yes, we added fries instead of chips which might be the cause for the higher prices, but you can get two well made burgers for less than this so it doesn't feel justified. Additionally, the food was good but not great. My tuna melt lacked a bit of flavoring and only tasted of mayo. Normally this would be fine for me but not when I paid above average for my food. This really is a nice restaurant and in an area that doesn't have too many of those. Our waitress was very attentive (almost too attentive) and the service was good but I don't think I'd choose to visit again.

Went here for a spontaneous happy hour on a Wednesday afternoon and arrived just in time to put in…read morea happy hour order. This is a newer spot in Excelsior that opened summer 2025. Here's my review of the food we ordered: Cocktail of the hour - aka "Golden Hour" - 8.5/10 Reminded me of mulled cider, notes of honey, very refreshing Pork Belly Steam Buns - 8.1/10 Nice texture, very tender and flavorful Mini Banh Mi - 7/10 Not bad, would have preferred the more traditional pork filling Crispy Chicken- 8.7/10 This really surprised me, from appearance the chicken didn't look that special but it was well seasoned and the sweet chili glaze really stole the show and elevated this dish! Mirabelle Smash Burger - 8.9/10 I'm a sucker for smash burgers and this one did not disappoint. Nice crispy bun and a special mustard sauce that we enjoyed and a different flavor I don't usually have on my burger Sticky Ribs - 5/10 Unfortunately these were quite dry and was comparing to sticky ribs I had last week at CoV that were fall off the bone Overall good spot, service, atmosphere, and would be happy to return. Prices were also great for happy hour.

I wanted to like this place, I really did. But unless they get a different chef in the kitchen,…read morethis place is not going to make it.... Let's start with the positives! The location! Very close to the lake(walking distance) There is a free parking ramp right behind the building. The decor of this place is cute! The details seem like they were well thought out! It feels upscale and cozy! I saw a video of this place and that was what originally drew me in! The seating here is also comfortable and not over crowded. Our server was ok. I saw so many raves about the "amazing service." She did refill our water glasses, which was good because I needed it with the salty steak! Obviously the most important piece is the food. We started with the popovers. The taste was fine but the texture was almost over done. The honey butter was lacking honey flavor. Cinnamon would have really elevated the butter! I got the steak frites and my sister got the spaghetti. My fries were average. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium all the way through! I was impressed. However, it was drowning in a VERY salty sauce! I had push a lot of it off. This should be served on the side, not covering the whole steak. My sister got the spaghetti, which our waitress explained was not a regular spaghetti. I feel she has probably had to do that multiple times and honestly, it should just be renamed. It's confusing for the customer. My sister did say she enjoyed the dish and that the shrimp was ere done well. For dessert I got "Aunties iced latte" which is their version of like an espresso martini. It was just ok. Would not get again. We got the carrot cake which was good!! But then they ruined it by putting fake whipped cream.... This is supposed to be a higher end restaurant and that made the dessert feel so cheap. We also got the creme brûlée. DO NOT ORDER THAT! It is an absolute waste of money! The sugar top was so thick we couldn't eat it! The dessert had the consistency of scrambled eggs, not a smooth custard. The taste seemed ok, but whoever made this does not know what they are doing! Overall, the food was not memorable and a lot of it was done poorly. There are definitely better restaurants in the area.
