Dropped by on a road trip. The service was super quick and the staff was very down to earth and friendly! There was plenty of space and a really cool shoppin area. We got a variety of rolls. They were all very tasty and quite large. I wills say the apple fritter is delicious and a stand out for me.

Often stop on our way north for a road break, treat and coffee. Coffee just so-so. Treats about the same. I'm a Caribou coffee fan but it was not so good this time. Got a rhubarb/walnut muffin and though it did have walnuts it was all I could do to find even a faint rhubarb bit or flavor. Service was real good and yes I like how it feels when you walk in. I will be back but trying something different .

On your way up north from the Cities? Tobies is the spot to stop to stretch your legs, and use the bathroom. While you're at Tobies roll on up to get yourself a caramel roll, a pecan roll, a cinnamon roll....however you roll (see what I did there?) While their Hallmark is around the beloved cinnamon rolls, there are plenty of other bakery offerings ala apple fritters, Bismarck's, long johns, bear claws, and the ubiquitous and humble donut. They also have an adjacent gift shop where you can buy some little trinkets, apparel, and some local jams and jellies. They also have a restaurant as well. I have never eaten here, but if the opportunity ever presents itself, I'd give it a shot. This place is obviously well known, and you should do what many others who are on their journey - grab a six pack of rolls, and an extra to eat on the way. This is basically a rite of passage for first timers going up north, and a standard byway stop for those seasoned travelers. You would do well to stop.

Stop by for Caramel Rolls to go! Skip the outdated restaurant experience. Service was great, I can't complain there. But I'm not sure the restaurant food quality justifies a stop on your way up north. However, the caramel rolls are so good that I think they're slightly better than Cinnabon. Be sure to stop by if you love caramel rolls and are willing to pay $4.50 per roll or $21 for 6 rolls. Don't waste your time with the cinnamon rolls, get the CARAMEL ROLLS ONLY.

The restaurant is right off the highway so convenient when traveling. They have a gift shop and many different baked goods. They have a gluten free section that has other companies baked goods. The restaurant server was friendly. The food was very average and kind of bland. The gluten free cheesecake was good and I appreciated that they had gluten free buns.

Driving to Duluth over the weeked, my friend wanted to stop by Tobies. So glad I got to try this place out! I only got the bakery items but the restaurant looked so cute I wish I had time to try it out. The service was truly great!! My friends got a lot of baked goods, so I decided to try the banana muffin. Look at how stacked all the chocolate chips are! They ended up giving it to me for free. It made my day and was so thoughtful and sweet. They even gave my friend some extra goodies too!! Customer service was 10/10 and I wish I got to try more of the baked goods but I know if I am ever up in Duluth again, this is my new go to spot!

We stopped in for a couple donuts to go. They were delicious. One of the best donuts we've had in a while. We got the Bavarian cream filled donuts and a classic chocolate sprinkle. Donuts were light and fluffy. Chocolate glaze was great. Not sticky, perfectly tempered. Each donut was only $2.50. So glad we stopped.

What a north bound getaway Must stop. On our way home from Duluth, I demanded breakfast and we stopped at Tobies. Ordered their omelet and it was gigantic. The egg was thin yet strong enough to hold the overflowing amount of meat and veggies the Denver could have inside of it. Also ordered the pancakes to share and they were the lightest, fluffiest pancake I've ever had in my life. I am STILL thinking about them. Staff was pleasant and let you enjoy your breakfast, coffee was meh (nothing to write home about but just enough to recharge your morning). Tobies is a staple when heading to or from Duluth. Must check out! They also have a bakery and gift shop attached as well.

Friendly, attentive staff were efficient at dealing with large and small groups/orders. Recommend the pastries and cookies!

Food was 7/10. Nothing super impressive but expected. Service was quick and to the point but not outstanding. The bakery is where it's at (had the maple and chocolate covered donuts). Would stop again for a quick bite and/or drink because of location.

This is such a cute place with a restaurant, bakery and small boutique. I had the bouban burger with brisket and steak fries. It was absolutely delicious. Of course we couldn't leave with out stopping at the bakery.

Tried this for the first time. Service was great! The restaurant had a very nice ambiance. Mimosa's were average. Pancakes were huge and really good. Eggs and bacon were what you expect. My fiancé had the Breakfast Poutine. She liked it a lot. Bathrooms were ok. Basic, but clean

Ope! Can you have a fun adventure exploring a different city day without going far? You betcha!…read more Embracing my Swedish/ Norwegian side checking out the lovely town ofLindström today. Well known as the town with the teapot water tower just north of Forest Lake. Along with a tasty lunch in Chisago. Places and things we checked out included lots of cute local shops and of course some sweet treats! @thelindstrombakery was worth the trip on its own We tried a variety of things and got some take home goodies. Swedish Almond Cookies (so. darn. good. Had to get some for later) ALL of their donuts were so fresh and light. Highly recommend getting yourself here for treats. Each item we tried was accompanied by slow chewing, serious glances and closed eyes of bliss. Uffdah what a fun day! Hoping everyone can find some Hygge in your days. Hygge (pronounced "hoo-gah") is a Danish cultural concept focusing on comfort, togetherness, and cozy contentment. Key principles include cultivating warmth, enjoying simple pleasures, equality, and mindfulness. It helps reduce stress, improves well-being, and fosters social connection by embracing a slower, more intentional, and cozy lifestyle.

Aw guys I hate to down my previous rating. Nice remodeling job and for fixing the dangerous floor…read morewith the step down on entrance. Simple scheme with tables and a smaller store as the rest of the space is used for another shop. Problem: There is very little selection. The bakery used to be lined with shelves, now it is all in the front closed off as the employees have to reach take it out. No rolls or buns, just basic breads and nothing all that creative. There are bags of cookies to go and they have coffee beans with no price marked. Others have mentioned donuts, but I didn't see any. The previous owners had loads of donuts and the signs still says "Scandinavian Donuts". The changes haven't seem to affect business as it was bustling on a Saturday morning. I never saw that many people in the store in years past.
