Mid-weekday movie ticket was $15. Pizza was $15 and only mediocre. The soda machine needed syrup. The seats in the imax theater are cracked and peeling. The floors were sticky anywhere there were hard floors. The only part I can say actually seemed clean was the restroom. Overall, for $65 for 2 people to go see a movie during the middle of a weekday- I'll be trying out other theaters instead. read more

I always think that NCG and CC are basically the same, but not quite. There were only three people manning the concession stand and ticketing area, which made for a longer wait. The line was equally long when I was leaving, too so it makes me think this is usual. I do like the fully reclining seats, clear projection and sound system. read more

We frequent this theater because we love movies, they have 18 screens (plus THX and IMAX) and it's very close to home. We had been "Celebrity" members for years They changed the rewards program a year or so ago and kept raising ticket prices, and we were not happy about that. However, they started offering C Rewards VIP very recently, which restored our interest again. There have been lots of positive changes that we really liked, and they had taken our previous suggestions to offer real food instead of just popcorn and candy. Now, it's easier to go straight to the movies from work since we can buy our tickets through the app with no service fees and eat dinner there before or during the movie. The food isn't bad either. We love their quesadillas and fries! Now... if they could just start serving Coke products! read more

I went to the first showing of day and the room was dirty. Food in every crevice of the chair. I thought the seat was clean but must have had oil on it. When I left the theater, the group I went with told me I had stains on the back of my shorts. FIRST SHOWING?! Obviously they don't clean unless they have to. The popcorn was good. The movie was good, except for the cut in bottom center of the screen that caught my attention every now and then. My attention should have been able to have remained on the movie, not the cut in the screen. I usually go to NCG but needed an earlier showing than NCG had. I will try harder to make NCG work next time. Celebration used to be such a nice theater but has went downhill over the years. I can't think of it as much of an option for viewing movies anymore. read more

I don't get why people complain about the price and the customer service. I've been everytime a new movie comes out. And boy oh boy I rather watch movies here than in nyc. I rather pay 6$ for a ticket than 15$ for a normal seat in nyc. The customer service is fast and very nice. I have no problem finding a parking lot. The seats here are comfortable and very good dating spot. I would recommend my friends here. read more

Arrived to watch Jurassic World Dominion this weekend, to discover I had purchased tickets for the wrong day. The manager on duty was SO NICE and able to get us 2 seats for the current showing. She was a real life saver, considering it was our first movie date in about 4 years, and she saved it from being a total disaster. I was so flustered I didn't catch her name. The seats were very comfortable, and the 3D/ imax screen was great! We will definitely be returning to this location for our next movie outing. read more

For $7 a ticket during peak hours, one really can't complain much. Difficult to find a parking spot. Scary if you are a woman alone having to walk back to your car at night. Or get drenched if it's raining and you don't have an umbrella. Though it's packed, line moves quickly. Concessions line also moved quickly. Soda is $4.25 for a medium. Fun fireworks carpet, bright colorful lighting. Arcade with video games. Booth that sells life-sized cardboard cutouts of your favorite movie or tv show characters for $25. What a steal! For $50 I can have James Franco and Jude Law watch over me as I sleep! Teenage blonde girls in heavy make up and bad tans, stay warm in Hollister hoodies while they update their Facebook status waiting in line for Hunger Games. Obnoxious little boys chew popcorn and sip on bright neon blue icy concoctions. Extra Large Michiganians in Walmart jeans and cheesy t-shirts discuss movies as if they were Roger Ebert, putting in their two cents on Hollywood's flops. And now, as a side note (and at the expense of sounding like a politically incorrect B**ch): I have NEVER in my life seen such a concentration of fat people in one place at one time. And when I say fat people I don't mean slightly chunky, or voluptuously curvy, no, I mean, seriously fat! Need bigger theater seats: Fat! heart-attack's coming soon: Fat! It's kinda scary. Makes me wonder about the obesity statistics in Michigan. I try not to comment on anyone's weight but the volume (pun intended) of obese movie goers on this Friday night is mind-blowing and impossible to ignore. The THX Theater is state of the arts. I am torn about this theater... We really only come to it for the IMAX... The 3D movie we just saw was an excellent visual experience however the seats are uncomfortable and worse yet they are way higher priced in the popcorn/snacks department than their competition... I have a hard enough time justifying the $12.75 I pay for large popcorn and 2 large pops at my theater I like better... Much less the $17.50 they charge for the same here at Celebration!!!! I gotta say, The Batman was an excellent movie. Quite the interesting story line. Actors and actresses did an excellent job. And the whole music score (coming from a guy who majored in music in school) was nothing short of amazing. I actually stayed till the very end just to hear the music. read more

Been here a couple of times when visiting family. I prefer other theaters, but this'll do. They have reclining seats with more space, so that can be nice. Persnickety and whiny things stopping me from four or five stars: Cushy, reclining seats are great, but the button placement is not thought out. The buttons are tucked down next to where knees and legs go. If you've got anything in your cargo pockets or sit a certain way, you're going to get rocked (and not in a good way) during the middle of your movie. It would be less obnoxious if the design wasn't so unnecessary. The heat was blasting in the theater. It was a 50-degree day outside, so not even cold. This is sweater season, let's not boil the crowd in their clothes. The staff is alright and they were staffed well for Black Friday. Staff members do need to be taught not to walk in front of people and to generally be a little more customer-oriented as they travel from one task to another. read more

My favorite cinema ever. All the seats are cushy and reclining. They usually have the seasonal popcorn bucket that allows for 2 free refills daily. With a large popcorn being $9... I think $35 for a bucket with free refills is totally worth it! And the bathroom is always clean lol. That's a big thing for me. read more

The theater itself definitely gets a 5-star headed it's way! Extremely comfortable seating and really the only way I'd ever go out to see a movie that's over 1.5 hours long. The ability to pre-pick your comfortable seats is nice but the downside is that the reduced number of overall seats in each theater limits the availability. Which, happened to us as we drove about 45 minutes to see a movie here. Granted, it wasn't the theater's fault. They have made it easy to purchase tickets online (of course, with a surcharge) but I didn't think it'd be that much of an issue on a weekday early afternoon. Of course the movie we wanted to see only had a "few" spots left, AKA one seat in which you'd be sitting right next to a stranger. The staff was friendly enough and apologized so we just purchased a later movie and wandered around the area. The drink and food area could use some updating. While they keep an updated supply of candy and drinks, the soda area could use a SERIOUS cleaning of the soda machines and supply areas. So much so that I decided to skip on getting a drink and just take my chances at slight dehydration. But luckily the movie was comfortable! read more

The general manager jumped to the conclusion that I was trying to sneak other patrons in and accused me of it without legitimate proof, I was pulled from my movie experience to rectify the situation they felt entitled to address, I was unaware two patrons from my party had not paid but was more than happy to pay for, but the manner and demeanor in which the general management chose to deal with the miscommunication was despicable. A fine establishment! Very friendly staff and it provides an enjoyable experience. I saw Zombieland 2, what a movie! It was a real throwback to 2009. They have a concessions counter where you can buy numerous things like popcorn, soda, and candy. They even serve alcohol! Go all the time Weekly usually go on Saturday's see the New Releases also on Tuesday's that's a great day to go Ticket Prices are Discounted like $6 Bucks per Person. We don't see Movies in IMAX very often unless it's a Highly Anticipated Movie then we'll Pay the money otherwise we enjoy the regular seating and screens. The Service there Popcorn is good also they serve Alcohol Drinks which is awesome as hell. You can bring Drinks back to your Seats or even Order Items then have them Delivered to your Seats. Which this is the only Theater I know that does this what they do an offer what they do you can't beat this Theaters Service. As for there Popcorn it's delicious they offer a good variety of Popcorn Cheeses an Spices which is cool. I'd Visit this Movie Theater over every other if your New to the Area you just can't beat it. You know what, I hadn't gone here in YEARS (still love NCG), but I happened to catch a show about a month ago and have kept going back since. Here's why: While their seats aren't as cushy-comfy as NCG's Xtreme theater seats, the fact that they recline is actually really nice. Feels like I'm watching from my couch at home. There's tons of legroom, too, enough that you don't ever have to squish your feet to the side to let someone pass by. (btw - I know NCG's Xtreme Theater has the one row of reclining seats. Those have the aisle right in front of them, though, so people are walking in front of you the whole time.) Yeah, Celebration used to be *the* premier theater in town, and yeah, it's not so new anymore. But it's not like it's some ratty place now, at all. The decorations are kinda 90's color-wise, but hey, I can roll with that. I haven't encountered any annoying people talking during movies. Come on, you know you saw Episode I here as a kid. That experience needs to be redeemed. Come on back to Celebration. Or don't. I'll be here alone watching movies in my sweet reclining chair. read more

Celebration Cinemas is a quality theatre in the greater Lansing area. With stadium style seating, movie specials ($5.00 movies before 1:00pm), and the infamous "popcorn bucket" where you can pay $26 for unlimited popcorn for a certain number of months (current promotion from May 7 - October 1, 2010). Definitely worth a stop and a popcorn bucket investment. read more

Celebration! Cinemas has grown on me primarily due to their comfortable seating! We saw a show in the THX and every seat was a recliner. Although the lobby is a bit outdated, the building was clean and the staff were polite. We didn't try the snacks or drinks this time, but you can't go wrong with movie theatre popcorn! read more

I enjoy Celebration cinema and prefer it to NCG. I have never had any experiences like those which others have listed (witnessing fights, feeling unsafe in the vicinity, ect.) That being said, some of the decorations, namely the carpet, are quite garish. And the staff is generally apathetic. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. read more

The only theatre in Lansing I really like. Plenty of screens and nice big reclining chairs. They also serve beer here now too.

The movie-going experience has always been at least adequate. The staff has for the most part, been cordial and polite. NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE!!! . Also, a lot of the clientele this theatre draws tends to be off the ghetto, low-income sort. Lots of rude, loud, obnoxious families and noisy children. I'd like to see more enforcement of common-sense theatre etiquette. If you're going to attend this theatre, I suggest a later showtime. read more

Wow, this place has really gone downhill over the years. I know it's not on the best side of town, but really? This place has turned into a total dump with rifraf running around. I remember a time when Celebration was really running neck and neck with NCG, not it seems as though there's a real front runner in that race and it's not celebration. Would I recommend? When I attended Cars 2, I accidentally spilled my baked beans all over myself. It was very traumatic. Then, a young african american gentlemen stood up and screamed "dis dude spilled his baked beans." I was so embarrassed I had to rush out of the theatre. The movie was decent. read more

Celebration is closer to my house than NCG, so I typically hit up this theater. They primarily just play the big blockbuster films, but they also feature smaller films for very short runs. And I do mean VERY short, like a weeklong run at best. The theaters themselves are okay, and ticket prices are about the norm. The staff tend to be extremely apathetic, bordering on entirely unhelpful, the majority of the time. I realize that almost everyone working there is still in high school, but come on, at least fake a smile and don't completely ignore everyone who comes into the place. Overall, it's a fine place to see a movie. There's just nothing spectacular about Celebration--nothing that makes it stand out from any other theater. read more

Just finished a movie. The employees were extremely professional and very courteous. The bathrooms were clean. The seats were super soft and reclined to almost laying down if you want with tons of room. The movie screen was clear and sound was equally excellent. read more

There are few movies to would love to watch in 3D and if there theatre is not equipped with good 3D systems than it spoils the experience. Other than that the theatre is great with extra comfortable seats (so awesome) and a decently big screen and capacity. Sound system is ok. I would recommend this theatre to watch any movies here but don't watch it in 3D. read more
