This is nicer than what you will find inside. The lobby is the best part of this theater.

I love the movies. I love the theatre. I'm an avid film goer. I used to love this theatre. I would go often. But in the last four years it's become sloppy. Money grubbing. We ordered a large popcorn for 12.99 and then a large pop. Which somehow came out to $21 and change. Expected. The gal at concessions let us stand a while she laughed with her coworkers. When she plopped the bucket down I looked at it and asked if she had put butter on it. She said no. I asked if she would. She said yes, but that's an up charge of $1.05. I said who gets a big bucket with no butter. I paid it. Ok. Booked our seats online and paid a "convenience fee" for that. But it's worth it to have a reserved seat when you come. People in general at movie theaters think only of themselves. They talk, let their families be loud. They watch their phones and just can't be still. This coupled with cracking seats well worn. And probably the most annoying thing - the sound was at about 3 out of 10. This cinema BOASTS great sound. Chewing the popcorn was louder. It was frustrating. And $45 gone. The pigs in the theatre left their garbage all over. I don't know how people feel good about doing that. Children learn from their parents. I can only assume they felt by paying over $100 for their family of 5 to see a 90 minute movie this was justified. The IMAX located at this property is also in a poor state. The chairs are in sore need of replacement or at least reupholstered. We had attended another film a couple months before. It was dirty and more expensive. Between the condition of the theatre, the attitude of the staff, the volume of the theatre and the prices for the concessions this venue is driving itself out of business. I wish it was better. I loved going here.

Courteous staff Clean restrooms Great seats SELLS ALCOHOL* This place seems and looks recently renovated. You know how some theaters have those old seats that smell like old popcorn? You know what I'm talking about and it's gross. You WON'T experience that here. Faux leather, reclining seats, super comfortable. Only downside is that the audio wasn't as loud so it I didn't feel immersed in the film I was watching. Otherwise, I enjoyed it. Especially the seats.

We frequent this theater because we love movies, they have 18 screens (plus THX and IMAX) and it's very close to home. We had been "Celebrity" members for years They changed the rewards program a year or so ago and kept raising ticket prices, and we were not happy about that. However, they started offering C Rewards VIP very recently, which restored our interest again. There have been lots of positive changes that we really liked, and they had taken our previous suggestions to offer real food instead of just popcorn and candy. Now, it's easier to go straight to the movies from work since we can buy our tickets through the app with no service fees and eat dinner there before or during the movie. The food isn't bad either. We love their quesadillas and fries! Now... if they could just start serving Coke products!

I don't get why people complain about the price and the customer service. I've been everytime a new movie comes out. And boy oh boy I rather watch movies here than in nyc. I rather pay 6$ for a ticket than 15$ for a normal seat in nyc. The customer service is fast and very nice. I have no problem finding a parking lot. The seats here are comfortable and very good dating spot. I would recommend my friends here.

For $7 a ticket during peak hours, one really can't complain much. Difficult to find a parking spot. Scary if you are a woman alone having to walk back to your car at night. Or get drenched if it's raining and you don't have an umbrella. Though it's packed, line moves quickly. Concessions line also moved quickly. Soda is $4.25 for a medium. Fun fireworks carpet, bright colorful lighting. Arcade with video games. Booth that sells life-sized cardboard cutouts of your favorite movie or tv show characters for $25. What a steal! For $50 I can have James Franco and Jude Law watch over me as I sleep! Teenage blonde girls in heavy make up and bad tans, stay warm in Hollister hoodies while they update their Facebook status waiting in line for Hunger Games. Obnoxious little boys chew popcorn and sip on bright neon blue icy concoctions. Extra Large Michiganians in Walmart jeans and cheesy t-shirts discuss movies as if they were Roger Ebert, putting in their two cents on Hollywood's flops. And now, as a side note (and at the expense of sounding like a politically incorrect B**ch): I have NEVER in my life seen such a concentration of fat people in one place at one time. And when I say fat people I don't mean slightly chunky, or voluptuously curvy, no, I mean, seriously fat! Need bigger theater seats: Fat! heart-attack's coming soon: Fat! It's kinda scary. Makes me wonder about the obesity statistics in Michigan. I try not to comment on anyone's weight but the volume (pun intended) of obese movie goers on this Friday night is mind-blowing and impossible to ignore. The THX Theater is state of the arts. Comfy seats, great sound. Lots of seats! I'd definitely come here again!

I am torn about this theater... We really only come to it for the IMAX... The 3D movie we just saw was an excellent visual experience however the seats are uncomfortable and worse yet they are way higher priced in the popcorn/snacks department than their competition... I have a hard enough time justifying the $12.75 I pay for large popcorn and 2 large pops at my theater I like better... Much less the $17.50 they charge for the same here at Celebration!!!! Therefore the low rating...

Comfortable chairs where every seat is a good seat. Nice to catch a fun movie on the big screen.

The only theatre in Lansing I really like. Plenty of screens and nice big reclining chairs. They also serve beer here now too.

I had a gift card for $20 and the price of the popcorn and pop was more than the gift card, so it wouldn't recognize the card. I tried to purchase the tickets using the gift card as well and the price of the tickets was over that of the gift card. I'm not sure what is wrong with the systems, but a gift card should go towards the purchase and not be invalid because it can't cover it. I did check the card and it indeed does have $20 on it so it is valid. Disappointed that this can't be used like other gift cards. The staff for popcorn was friendly. Walking into a lite theater seemed harmless, but while searching for seats it was quite interesting. Those seats in theater 5 (and maybe others) were so worn and down to threads that was once the pleather recliners. It was absolutely a shame to see these seats in such rough conditions. It really gives the overall feel of the theater itself a bad look. If you have lived in Jackson all of your life, you will also recognize that the bathrooms haven't had any sort of facelift or fresh look in over 20 + years. Its a real shame that the last location for movies in this town is so run down. I forecast streaming will take over this location.

I'm used to dodging crowds when going to the movies and for a film like Lilo & Stitch, one could imagine how many were there. Also, with a start time of 7pm (that actually didn't start until almost 7:30), you can imagine the younger kids starting not to behave as well haha. I knew what I was getting into so no one's fault at the end of the day but one thing I think would help is maybe some WD-40 on the seats? Those kids could not sit still and even I can't the whole time so every move you make becomes obvious to the whole theater haha. Aside from some nitpicks that aren't even really nitpicks, this is a great theater to go to for how much it costs compared to most of the options around Ingham County. The classic movie theater vibe gives a unique charm to this place as well! The service here was as quick as they could be with how many people they had lined up, they kept a smile on their faces the whole time though and were friendly to each individual in line! (That popcorn was pretty dang good too) Lastly, I wanted to say that because of their hours of operation, you should probably go into a movie here, especially if it's a kids movie, knowing it will be a bit crowded and a bit loud. If that bothers you and you can't tune it out for the price, go to one of the chains or watch at home!

But ignoring those, the rest of the theater is all nice recliners that also have a heating switch. One thing I really like about this theater is how much space there is between rows; even with the seats fully reclined, you don't have to squeeze by people if you need a restroom break in the middle of the movie. The sodas and slushies are self-serve and they also have five different types of powdered popcorn seasoning that you can apply. Surprisingly, though, they didn't have any butter dispensers - I suppose you could always ask for more from behind the counter, but I do like being able to control the amount that's put on. They have a pretty widespread concessions menu and they will bring out your hot food to you in your seat. Prices for concessions are average and tickets are reasonable - $9 for a matinee and $11 for night. The lobby area is notably nice - there is a self-playing piano, a fireplace, and a full bar area. It was also impeccably clean in the lobby and restroom. Employees were very friendly across the board. This is clearly a very well-maintained theater and I would definitely go back.
