I did extensive research online and settled on Spavia as the place I wanted to have my first experience and I'm really glad I did. Based on the reviews, I chose Luciana and everyone is absolutely right. She is wonderful! She talked me through everything she would do, gently suggested items she thought would help me on my skincare journey but was never pushy at any point, I felt so comfortable throughout the whole session. First, the ladies at the front desk were super welcoming and gave me an iPad to sign in on, that asks a few questions about your skin background, etc. They also ask you what kind of scents you want, what kind of music you want to listen to, and what you want the pressure of your massage to be. The atmosphere was calming, ambient and clean. They give you lockers for your items, a nice fluffy robe and slippers to change into, and free amenities while you wait, like tea, water, weighted neck pillows, etc. While The Retreat room was super nice and relaxing, I didn't have to wait long at all. Luciana came in very quickly afterward, and explained everything to me. We went to a room, where you lay on a table with a little heated blanket and a foam roller for under your knees to support your lower back while you lay. The experience was heavenly. Luciana was gentle with my skin, the massage was so nice. I almost fell asleep on the table! After everything was over, I got changed and headed back to the counter to pay for my experience, Luciana had set out some skincare products that she felt would suit me based on our time together, but again, there's absolutely no pressure to buy them. She didn't stand there and wait for me to make any selections. She simply placed them on a table and walked away. I ended up purchasing one of the two items, a gel cleanser. Whenever purchasing a skincare item you also get to choose a free little gift that they offer which was super nice! As far as what I got, I got the acne purifying facial which comes with a face, neck, shoulder, arm and hand massage and lasts about 60 minutes in total! And it was only $139. For that experience I almost felt like I was stealing! With the skincare product I bought (without the tip) the total came to around $180 (but its a LOT of product). If you want to tip in cash, which I did, they give you a nice little envelope to place it in, with a 'to' and 'from' section to fill out. I've already scheduled my next appt and told friends and family about this place. Can't wait to come back!

There's no door on the room just a curtain up so it's not completely private but it's more than some of the reflexology places where you just separated by a curtain. I was given a male masseuse, despite me being a female, but I didn't mind. However, they didn't ask me so if that's something that you are uncomfortable with then you should voice that from the beginning. The massage was a bit too hard for me at first, but I let him know and he adjusted. The prices aren't bad at $80 for an hour. The only thing that is a little iffy, when you go to pay, they will try to talk you into increasing your tip amount. Their standard suggestion is $30 for an hour and $40 for the 90 minute session, but they "encourage" more.

It's located in the lovely and tranquil Parkland city center. I got a gel manicure and pedicure. Ana (Anna?) took care of me and was very nice. The gel mani and pedicure were very relaxing but also more quick than other places. I wasn't asked on how I wanted my nails shaped, but they turned out well so that was ok. It's been a couple weeks and they're still there, but about a week ago one of the nails started chipping off. I'm sure that wasn't their fault. Also my pedicure didn't seem to last as long as other places. The nail tech noticed there was definitely something up with the consistency of the polish. Anyway, Anna (Ana?) and the other nail tech were very personable and I felt very comfortable there. The inside is very nice and relaxing. The prices are on par for the area. We decided to get their 30-minute foot massages. We came in time for our appointment and they took us right away. The foot massage was very good. I liked that there wasn't any sitting with your feet in water first and that the massage concentrated on our feet. They cleaned our feet first with wet washcloths and then started on first one foot then the other. There was a little bit of leg massage, on each side, as well. It was relaxing laying down with our eyes covered and soft music playing. The half hour flew by! We were both very pleased with the gals that worked on us. We would definitely return.
