It's as much about stretching and your body's natural range of motion as it is about muscle manipulation and traditional rubbing. Here's what you need to know: you remain clothed. Wear a comfortable stretchy shirt and sweatpants. There is no massage oil or lotion applied to your skin. You have to communicate where you hurt and you have to communicate if you need more or less force. The therapist is going to walk on you and will use their body to move yours into different positions. Expect to hear cracking and pops throughout the session. Baan Thai massage is a legitimate business run and operated by professionals and licensed therapists, so please treat them with respect. I came here with my Mother and Father as a Mothers Day gift. My mother and I had the Thai Massages and my father the deep tissue. We all had amazing experiences. This was my first time having a Thai massage and I was a bit worried about feeling pain but the massage was just the right amount of pressure and stretching. Every time we come here is such an amazing experience. The staff is very nice and welcoming. My one hour and half massage felt like it was ten minutes, I did not want it to end. I enjoyed a deep tissue massage today, it was extremely relaxing and the nice lady that took care of me asked if I had any injuries/concerns and she was gentle with the parts that I had issues with. This place is amazing. For 90 mins this petite woman uses her 100lb body to stretch you. I left feeling like I got beat up - but in a good way. You lay down on this giant mat with your clothes on. I've never had Thai massage, but let me tell you it's fantastic. I don't usually go for massages because I get more annoyed than relaxed. Either I leave bruised n battered or I'm annoyed that the masseuse just skated around on my skin. Thai stretches you and pressure points are used. It hurt a bit as my knees had been in pain since late February but after my knee pain was gone. The place is clean, relaxing and wonderful Definitely a keeper!! I also love the fact that they offer 1 1/2 or 2 hour massages not those '1 hour' deals that are really 40-50 minutes. Also try the one hour foot massage!! Awesome!! read more

I have had a serious pain in my right leg, thigh, gluteus maximus, and hamstring, which has been preventing me from walking regularly for 6 months. I'm 42 years old and I jog a mile or so to stay on the healthy side, but nothing major. I've been to the Orthopedic doctor who took xrays and prescribed steroids for a week. It didn't work. I went to the chiropractor, who prescribed light stretching, lazor therapy, and dry needling, and that did not work. In this attempt before my last, which I was going to try Acupuncture or deep tissue massage, I signed up for a Thai massage at this establishment. I showed the young lady where my pains were and in one session, she has managed to decrease 98% of my pain. I can walk normal and the tightness has gone away in all areas except one needs a little more help. I have signed up for another thai session and am considering the deep tissue massage the week after that one. My hope is that by going back to the next session, my pain will be completely gone. This money was well spent and she really takes time to pay attention to what is going on with your body. She is professional, friendly, courteous and caring. I like Thai massage because of the way it incorporates stretching along with massage. It can be gentle or it can make you cry... your choice. What Jongrak does so well is her fluidity of massaging the muscles into stretching them. The entire massage is fluid working all the body with astute attention to detail. I never felt less worked over when I left a massage and yet hours later feel so much looser when I should be tightening up.
