If I could give the Celeste Day Spa a rating of minus 5 I would. Today I went for a Swedish massage, and it was AWFUL. To me a Swedish massage consists of long gentle strokes with a firmness that you ask for, and I received none of that. The person who performed a 'massage' me had her hands hurry along my back in a flurry of movements - back and forth in a haphazard way without any order. So I did a ChatGPT when I got home on what a proper Swedish massage is and this is what it said: 'Effleurage - long, smooth, gliding strokes to warm up muscles and relax the body Petrissage - kneading and rolling motions to release tension and improve circulation Friction - deeper, circular movements to break up knots and adhesions Tapotement - rhythmic tapping or percussion (such as cupping or chopping) to stimulate muscles Vibration - gentle shaking or trembling to loosen muscles and calm the nervous system Swedish massage is often used for stress relief, relaxation, improved flexibility, and general wellness, making it one of the most popular massage styles, especially for first-time massage clients. ' I HAD NONE OF THAT and when I asked her to 'slow-down' many times, she did not and told me that I knew nothing and called me A WITCH and said that several times. After 15 minutes of asking her to do a PROPER massage, she again INSULTED me and said that I should leave and gave me my money back ALL THE WAY CALLING ME EVIL NAMES. Worst massage I have ever had. My husband bought me the Stars package for a gift. I had an appointment for a facial on another day and when I got there for my appt. the a/c was not working and it was extremely hot so I had to come back. I went back there today for a massage. Gloria, first reprimanded me for not hanging my clothes and leaving them on the chair in the room because she said she used the chair. She started the so called massage and was literally just softly rubbing my back quickly in circles. My neighbors 5 year old could have done the same thing. I told her that she was a not giving me a true Swedish massage and she said that what she was doing was in fact a Swedish massage and that she has been doing this since 2002 and that's how she does it. I asked her if she could work on my shoulders and she said I would have to pay $10 more. I said no problem and she started rubbing fast in circles again and doing a little bit harder on my shoulders. She started trying to do small talk and I just wanted to relax. Who wants to talk during a massage?! After about 10 minutes of her just rubbing me in circles and putting her knuckles inside my hands to rub them, I asked her to please stop as I did not want to continue because the massage was terrible. She said no problem and left the room. She lathered so much oil on me and left me with no towel and did not wipe it off. When I asked her for a refund for the rest of the package that already had an additional $30 for a tip, she said no. I told her that it was the worst "massage" I have ever had. I would never recommend this place for any massage. She was horrible and not experienced at all. I get massages all the time so I am very familiar with Swedish and therapeutic massages. Don't waste your money here and go to another place. This is definitely not a spa. If you would like a massage, I would recommend going to another place like the Eau Spa Palm Beach or Serenity Massage Spa and Wellness. Both of those are great! Beware of this place! read more

I arrived at noon and was rudely told my Marie that my appointment was for 1:00. I pointed out that I needed to be finished by 3:00 and that is why I made appointment for noon. Marie kept arguing with me that I was wrong. I decided to wait until 1:00 to start my appointment. Marie then went out of the waiting room and another employee came in and continued to argue that my appointment was at 1:00. Marie comes out from the back and tells me she is the masseuse and facial tech but she is feeling ill and won't perform any services that day. I asked for a refund. Was told that the person who purchased my gift certificate would have to contact their credit card company to dispute the charge. I said why is that - Celeste Day Spa had collected from the credit card company already, and Celeste should process refund. I made a call to my daughter from the waiting area and employee told me to go to my car if I want to make calls because I am not welcome in the salon. DON'T GO TO THIS SALON!!!!! Rough wash and I would say that I left with half of my hair there... even the lady at the reception could see in my face the pain of him trying to brush my hair..she said to HIM...be gentle! I should have stood up, they had no air conditioner he was sweating bullets and so was I I kept on complaining, and saying ouch, ouch every time my neck bent over with the force of his horrible brush. I said please use that fan in the corner, he tripped over it, finally connected it to fan my feet....by now my hair was a mess with the humidity, I asked did you put anything on my hair to protect it? yeah, yeah..look I could not read the bottle obviously it had nothing to untangle my hair. I have regular hair and no one had any problems like these. I is very suspect that I later found in the back of my hair a chunk missing like someone burnt it with an iron. Had such an AMAZING massage and facial here. It's a family owned spa where the owners practice various type of healing approaches & massages. A very different and extremely personal approach compared to corporate run places. And I was so PLEASED!! My Swedish massage was so soothing and was accompanied with sound healing which put me right into a deep state of peace and put me right to sleep. So Relaxing. GLORIA was FANTASTIC with my facial. She was extremely sweet and gave me a collagen facial, which did wonders for my skin. This went on for months. We stopped by last weekend and now the gift certificate has expired after I paid $100. I have to say, very disappointed that they wouldn't honor the gift certificate since I bought this from reading such great reviews. She wanted me to pay another $50 or more. Why? One star is a gift! I went for a deep tissue massage and had the worst experience of my life. I have gotten plenty of massages and I am not an uptight picky person at all but this was terrible. I can't even believe this place has a business. First I asked for a woman massage therapist and they gave me a boy. I say boy because this kid had to be under the age of 20 years old. It was no where near appropriate to allow teenager to massage a woman. Secondly, when I filled out the paperwork there was a place for you to check off areas you did not feel comfortable getting massaged and all of the places I said I DID NOT want to be touched I was touched. Such a bad experience! The therapist was 15 minutes late and walked in without an apology for her tardiness, or a salutation for that matter. I recently purchased massage certificates on behalf of my company as a perk for our employees in Florida to use. One employee used the certificate and had an awful experience. After learning of the employees experience, we switched to a trusted nationwide chain who works very well with our company and employees. We had a lot of remaining certificates that we needed to return, and I had to call Celeste Day Spa. I originally called within the 3 month purchase date of the certificates, but never was able to get through, and no voicemail was set up. The owner finally called back and very rudely told me there are absolutely no refunds after 3 months. I explained that I have been trying to get a hold of her for over a month and originally called within the 3 month cancellation period. At that point, she cut me off and said I had never contacted her before and this was the first time. I am very upset with the unprofessionalism and cutting attitude of the owner of this spa.
