The two last experiences I've had with him was very disappointing, it felt rushed and I had to come back the two following days after getting them done. I had dip powder with no tips. Also, my experience both occasions wasn't the best due to him going outside having a smoke break! This salon is huge with an actual bar at the front where you can sit to order a drink (both alcohol and nonalcoholic) and pick your nail color. It's very clean and comfortable. I had the worst experience I've ever had in a business in my life in this place. The amount of racism i dealt with had me hyperventilating and in tears by the time I left this business. I felt like I was in the middle of a lynch mob because I had a problem with the way that they run their business and how I was being treated. I asked for things and got overcharged for them doing things I didn't ask for last week... paid $140 ... then when my nails were breaking and chipped nine days later, I was treated crazy for having a problem with that. And I know for a fact it's only because of the color of my skin. The people in this place are racist and so are their customers so if you are a person of color do not go here ever. Find another place. I was called "Brokey" and verbally accosted by people that actually worked there because I waited for a refund after it was offered to me and then they told me I couldn't get my refund because they couldn't figure out how to do it and I should just make a dispute with my bank. This place....very hit or miss. The past 3 times in particular I haven't had a good gel pedicure done. But this time irked me enough to write a review. I came here yesterday afternoon, it was my birthday, I decided to treat myself to get a gel pedicure service done, which is normally what I get because gel lasts longer. The girl that took care of me seemed to have an attitude. I pointed to a color and said the number below it which is confusing because the actual number is above it?, I have no idea, I'm coming in here to be pampered and taken care of, my mistake, she corrects me and is very short with her mannerisms, I choose to put in AirPods to listen to a podcast because I can just tell she's not about to converse on any matter. Didn't even ask me what pedicure I wanted or if I wanted to upgrade. Very cut and dry. Pedicure looks fine. Then I wake up this morning and it's like the top coat is missing? It's not shiny, very dull. So now I have to take time out of my schedule to go back and get $56 worth of a pedicure fixed. The lady at the front addresses my problem and the girl from yesterday fixes it, meanwhile cutting me off while I'm just trying to say that it's not the oil you put on yesterday, it's missing the top coat. Very rude. You are in customer service and people come here to get taken care of. I know everyone needs to pay bills, and maybe this is a right now job, or you had a bad day, but it's the attitude that was totally uncalled for. Don't take your day out on a customer that had nothing to do with anything. I really liked this place and it was my go-to. But lately it's been pretty terrible enough to update my review, and will look for other places in the future. read more

I only rated them a one because I couldn't rate them a zero. Cesar did my hair quite some time ago and I did not receive what I wanted. He does not speak English, but the manager was interpreting so I thought it would be OK. Recently, I called the salon for a HC and color before major surgery. I told Carol (she said she was the manager, but was not) that I wanted someone who spoke English because of the last encounter with Cesar. She told me no one spoke English, but that if I brought a picture he "would be able to execute it to perfection." Stupidly I believed her because, although the last hair cut I got was great even though it was not what I wanted, (and by the way...no one speaks English!!!Really???) I showed him a pic of a 70's shag and all I got was a poorly layered non-descript HC. I was a very lightly colored blonde when I went in and a brunette when I left. I spoke with Carol twice and she promised the manager (not her to my surprise) would call me. He never called. My hair was so damaged from whatever he used that I had to cut all my hair off into a pixie. It was medium and all one length. I asked for my money back and Carol refused. It will be interesting to see if they respond to this review and have the manager call me. read more

Absolute disaster of a hair salon! Would not recommend going, overpriced and they do not listen to what you want. I called and was told they have a color specialist so I booked an appointment. I went in and asked for a dark navy blue root that would fade into teal and then green (inspiration photo included). I left with hot roots and a solid neon dark blue color. Absolutely nothing what I asked for. I had intended on also getting a cut but after seeing the botched color job I left. The salon did reach out to through text to come back but I did not trust them at all. As I left town the next day I had my dad go back into get a refund and the salon refused to let him speak to a manager and the front desk was extremely rude and blamed me for leaving. This place really ruined my day off. I had old gel that i needed removed and asked for a French gel manicure. The girl doing my nails was filing the old polish down but left so much and was going to applying new gel on top. Which would have been very noticeable since i asked for a French. I asked her to soak the gel off bc there's still so much left of my nails. She grabbed the nail file and filed them down so thin that it began to hurt. I again asked for them to be soaked bc it's now hurting. She told me no. After going back and forth for a few minutes i got up and left. I now have two paper thing nails that hurt and no French manicure. Not the end of the world but I'm pretty bummed. read more

I had quite a few events over the past few months where I needed some fun or classy nails and they were able to deliver on both. Vee Vee is who I typically go to and is seriously SO talented! Each time I am looking to get something inspired by a photo I found in the internet, I know she has my back and can get it done (even when I want to change it up and try to explain my vision!). She's such a wonderful person on top of it and remembers me & little details each time I come, even if it's been a bit. I've also gone to two other technicians while she was away and they also did NOT disappoint! They are truly such a talented staff. vibe! I always enjoy my time at Tipsy - so much so I end up showing up early just to have a drink & chat up the staff before my appointment. Everyone is SO friendly and it's such a fun. I want to start by saying that I've been going there for years for my manicures and pedicures. So I had no reservations with my 17yr old daughter going there to have her hair done. She made an appointment on the 10th of August to get her hair bleached. What we didn't know was the stylist that she made the appointment with had reservations about bleaching her hair due to some possible damage. This was never conveyed to her. Instead, they found Cesar willing to do it. He bleached her very long hair then he took a curling iron and a flat iron to it. 8 inches of my daughters hair have to be cut off. It was literally melted. I went back to tipsy's on Saturday the 12th spoke to their managers, and one of their other hairdressers, said that the job was horrible before she knew who did the job. At this point, I'm upset, but they agreed to refund the money and I'm just gonna deal with my daughter and we're gonna have to find someway to make her hair healthy again. The refund took a couple days which I understand. They were a dollar short but I was not going to argue about a dollar. Three days later they recharged $60 to my credit card with no authorization. No reasoning no Services no nothing they just took it upon themselves to charge $60 to my credit card. Obviously, I've called back three times now with no response. I'm afraid I'm going to have to actually file a police report. It's kind of sad, because I always enjoyed them for manicures and pedicures and now I will never go back there, nor will any of my friends. read more

I would go here each month to get my nails taken off the techs are really sweet but after months and a lot of new faces some man did my transaction and charged me double for the service, he was very pushing and trying to get me to get another service. I handed him cash and asked for changed, he then said "oh you don't tip.. I actually gave the tech a tip already. Can I please get my change".. he then struggled to open the cash register...
