The service man came and looked at it, said it was a problem with the stator and rotor, not worth repairing. Warranty expired. I spoke briefly, once, with Sean O'Neill on the phone about it. He said he could send me a proposal for a new generator -- but he didn't offer to look at the old one, didn't even disconnect it, wouldn't talk about it. Then he didn't respond to my phone calls, and neither did Barbara in the office. So I have this dead generator in my yard still connected to the electrical panel. Now I have to wonder if it was even serviced properly. My advice: Do not buy a home standby generator from O'Neill.

More recently, a track lighting fixture very high up on a cathedral ceiling stopped working, We made an appointment for All Wright to come to fix this. We told them that the fixture was very high up and suggested that they bring an extra long ladder. We were told that one of their technicians would be in our area the next day and would stop by. He said that they fixture was not the problem but that it was a problem with the switch on the wall. When the second technician came, he failed to bring the correct switch and told us to call the office to arrange a follow up appointment. The third guy arrived with the wrong switch but was able to run to our near-by hardward store and buy the correct switch. Imagine our surprise when All Wright charged us for this visit. We ended up paying almost $600 to replace a switch.

Paid about 200 dollars to have one of their techs come out and they said the system was fine and I might need another unit to pick up the slack, but the tech said he's not as experienced and that someone else would have to come and look. Seemed like an excuse to charge me an extra 200 dollars, but I said sure, having just moved and wanting to get this resolved. When I asked if they would schedule me, or if I had to make an appointment, the service kid said he didn't know. They never reached out and I decided this was the last time I was going to deal with them. All in all, they really weren't helpful and I feel like they never really made an attempt to resolve my issue. I'd look elsewhere if you're looking for service. Spoke to my neighbor and he had a similar experience. It seems like they've fallen off over the years, from what I'm hearing.

They wouldn't install new electric fans/heaters in early December and made us wait until mid-January. Once installed, the fans were extremely noisy like an airplane engine! When I asked about this, I was told that it was how those fans are. (In fact, I have others that are much quieter.) Today Ocean electric just rolled up to my house to put a "guy wire" on a pole installed 3 months ago? PSE&G have shown up to the house looking to connect me 3 x with truck crews. Walking away shaking their head. Asking Me to have Ocean electric call them! I told them, they won't even call me! I'd look for another Company on Long Island to do anything of significance. Communication is key when having a job done and this company lacks it. Your never too big to treat your customers right Ocean.
