I had noticed that one side of my iPhone 5s screen was beginning to push away from the frame of the phone. I'd had a similar issue in 2017, but I let it go and let it go until the phone finally became useless. The new phone had been my replacement, and realizing what had happened to the other one, as well as knowing I was heading on a lengthy vacation, I realized something had to be done ASAP. I came onto Yelp, read the reviews and sent out quote request to the top two, surprised to see that Louisville now has several companies which will do a remote call to your home, office, etc. to make repairs! As JoyTech could respond on Sunday, April 29th (I was contacting them on a Saturday), I went with them. A time and location were set up. I was delighted when I received a call asking if I wanted to set up an earlier time as another appointment had canceled; I jumped on the opportunity and was impressed that they'd taken the initiative to contact me. We met at a neutral location (mainly because I'm in the middle of packing). He was even a bit early. Kenny was polite, has a nice sense of humor, and answered my questions and concerns. I appreciated that he explained each step in the repair process as he went along, so I was aware of what was happening. It turned out the battery was expanding, and therefore pushing against the frame of the phone. It wouldn't be a simple screen repair but a needed battery replacement too. I have to admit - this was my first (and I hope ONLY) time I see the inside of a mobile phone. But he even took a moment to place a new battery and the damaged one side by side so I could see the differences, which were very obvious. Once the repairs were complete, he had me spend several minutes - while he waited - making sure the phone was operational, from making phone calls, to texting, to checking my apps and such. The work took about 45 minutes in total, and I got a nice education in cell phone design along the way! While this was an unexpected expense, it was a necessary one and worth every cent, especially as they came to ME, instead of me trying to get to them! As I stated in the opening, you don't want the need to arise where you have to use a service like this. But I'd highly recommend contacting them first if you have a broken screen, an overheated battery, or any number of cell phone issues.

One of my favorite watches had been sitting in my jewelry drawer for several years because the last time I took it to a watch replacement shop to get a battery (approximately 5 years ago and I'm not kidding), I was told that since it was such a nice watch, the "battery" would be much more expensive and was quoted a price to which I declined. Today, I decided to try Batteries Plus. The manager explained that this watch had no battery, but had a sensor (or something like that) and that they were much more expensive and I'd have to take it to a jewelry store to get that replaced. He then told me that if I would start wearing the watch, it would likely start working again and that I just needed to wear it more often. He said that if wearing it didn't work, to then take it to a jewelry store, but to make sure I wore it consistently for a while. Much to my surprise, he was correct. The watch works perfectly after wearing it for one day. He was very helpful and saved me a lot of money! The staff at this store are always very competent and friendly. They have helped us out on many, many occassions.

Service is fast and reliable plus they often have deals on multi-packs of AAA, AA and C batteries. I recently bought a car battery for my KIA with an extended warranty as well. The price was comparable to other nearby vendors and saved me a long wait. Easy access and hours.

All I wanted was to purchase an upgraded IPhone, nothing else. A lot of additional information was thrown at me regarding plans, additional service options, additional products which I had no interest in and made that clear. Another salesperson then intervened and was very pushy about these additional services to the point of insulting me. When I declined the service his comment was "Boy I wish I had your money" insinuating that I was foolish for not taking the offer which was very insulting to me. I'm not sure why he even joined the conversation when I was dealing with Jennifer W. Nobody asked him. The more he talked about these additional services, the less interested I became in this transaction. He was unprofessional, pushy and rude. At the end of this appointment I was able to purchase a IPhone 17 and move on. It didn't need to be this hard. Hard sell tactics are unwarranted when the customer knows what she wants.
