What a beautiful and inspirational person she is. She really pushed me to keep going. I loved her class so much I'm signed up for the year. Don't get discouraged if your class is full...I'll get on the wait list even when i'm 2 down the line, and so far have always gotten in. When i briefly fell ill, the mgr. Kayla was understanding & accommodating and allowed my credits to continue into the next month. Each instructor has their own style which offers variety to the routine. Although this is not a strength training class, it has helped my stamina a stronger core and and a taught correct movement which makes my other sport activities easier & less prone to injury. I like these reformer machines as it's easier on the joints and organ prolapse than mat pilates. It's worth giving it a try... I had no pressure to sign up & no long term commitment.

Weirdly, I first saw an ad for Stretch Zone when I was in Australia - there are no Stretch Zones in Australia. But I was intrigued and I called when I got back home. I took advantage of the complimentary stretch they offer, and I felt so good afterward that I signed up for two sessions per week for three months. What is a stretch session? It's you on a table with a stretch practitioner gently stretching you, targeting the areas you choose. For me, that's my hips, my quads, and my back. It's not cheap, but it does work. After about seven or eight stretch sessions, I felt confident enough to start working out again, and I joined Planet Fitness located, conveniently enough, right next door. I have a few more sessions before my three months are up, and I'll sign up for a twice monthly maintenance regime after that.

I arrived early (before the place opened up) for the 6am class. The instructor gave me run down of the class and how to use the machine. I signed a waiver before getting started. They have cubbies to put your belongings. They sell really cute sock if you need some. There's a mirror on the wall so you can see yourself to make sure you're in the correct position. Listening is important so you know what to do. You can also look at your classmates to see what they are doing in case you're unsure. It's a small class of only about 10 people. The exercises are simple but require strength and stamina. The instructors have feedback and helped me to get into the correct position. There's no cardio involved but it's a great full body workout. I'd love to come back.
